'Do I even want to know how you got this information?' I asked, pausing for a minute to really think about what was being offered. I knew that in the Garden of Eden, it was a snake that led Eve astray, the Prince of Lies whispering sweet promises to her just as Gabriel was whispering sweet promises to me.
'Do you want the truth?' asked my suit.
'No,' I grunted in reply, starting to pace back and forth in Ba'dqeel's bedroom again. Ten steps forward, ten steps back. 'Please lie to me.'
There was a long stretch of silence as if Gabriel was really trying to figure out a believable lie to tell me. "I'm kidding," I grunted out loud, tired of talking to myself. "Tell me the truth."
