Ba'dqeel's eyes seemed to burrow into my soul, and I was scared for a moment that he would be able to see every filthy thing that had ever been done to me. Every so gently, he lifted his right hand and cupped my left cheek.
His hands were so massive that the entire side of my face seemed to fit in the palm of his hand, and I snuggled down into it, breathing in his scent.
"So beautiful," he murmured, leaning forward until he was kissing my forehead.
Before I could reply, a male behind me cleared his throat, startling me out of the moment.
"And here I thought your place was over the top," grunted Zua'the, bringing us both back to the present.
"My mansion is nothing compared to the Rein's palace," replied Ba'dqeel as he continued to look at me for a moment longer. Finally, he broke away in order to look around the room. "But I don't think that even the Nycteromyian Palace could hold a candle to this place."
