"I bet you didn't see this coming," said the Rein, standing over my head and blocking out the view of the suns. He wrinkled his nose at the sight of my vomit, but I really didn't care.
I hope he choked on it.
"I saw this coming more times than I can count," I replied, a slight smirk on my face as I stared up at the male. "The Gods are a bit pissed at you," I assured him.
"I am the Gods," growled the Rein, crouching down so he could look into my eyes. "You shouldn't have stepped foot on my planet, Ethawainian. You should have stayed dead like the rest of your species. You are nothing more than a blight in the universe, one that needs to be eradicated."
"That's a far cry from wanting me to have your babies. What changed?" I sneered, refusing to show him just how much his words hurt me. I wanted this place to be my home. I was willing to fight for it against all odds.
