Ma'stbaut watched dispassionately as the second male dropped to the ground, nothing more than an empty husk.
He had to admit that the male who slit his throat was a professional. There was no hesitation in the killing blow. He knew exactly how much pressure to apply and where to apply it for an almost silent kill.
The newcomer was lucky, though. The first male was still too engrossed in Ma'stbaut's mate to have heard the slight thud of the body falling.
'Gabriel?' he grunted as he watched the male continuously licking the wound he created on Ariel.
'Yes?' sighed Gabriel, like he was too busy for Ma'stbaut at the moment. The other male didn't really care, as long as he was too busy because he was looking after Ariel.
'Ariel is just acting, right?' Ma'stbaut pressed as he continued to study the rise and fall of his mate's chest. 'She isn't actually knocked out, right?'
