Once again, Ba'dqeel found himself standing in the throne room, looking up at his brother. The guards had been dismissed before he had even arrived, and it was just him, the Rein, and the Priest in the grand room.
"Well?" demanded the Rein, cocking his head to the side. "Have you figured out exactly how these 'phantoms' are killing our males?"
"Not yet," admitted Ba'dqeel, nodding his head as a servant delivered him a cup of fermented mahatsa.
"Then why, pray tell, would you show up in my castle without invitation if you don't have exactly what I wanted?" stated the Rein, staring down the male in front of him. This was one of the only places where he was able to physically look down at his brother.
