"You aren't listening to me," grunted Vu'tuip as he stared at Zuhn'thian through the holographic comms. Zuhn'thian was sure that if he could, the other male would reach through the device and kill him.
"I am, Sire," replied Zuhn'thian, his head still lowered so that his father couldn't see his face. This pose was done for two reasons; the first was so that if Zuhn'thian couldn't control his facial expressions, his father was none the wiser.
The second was because Vu'tuip took it as a sign of submission. It made him feel that he was more powerful than the larger male in front of him and that he had his most dangerous weapon on a tight leash.
See, he understood what it truly meant to have to submit to someone else. To have every move directed by someone else to the point where he couldn't even sleep when he wanted to, let alone go out and explore the vastness of space.
