My body was on fire, and it felt like I was being burned from the inside out. The only parts of my body that were actually bearable were around my center and inside my mouth, and I tried to shift position frantically in order for the rest of me to cool down as well.
Something exploded behind me, and I heard a groan accompanied by a rush of what felt like ice water traveling down my spine. Loving the relief from the heat, I moaned, moving even faster, trying to get even more of that ice in other areas, too.
There was a second groan, followed by a curse word or two before ice tempered the fire in my front. However, the relief lasted only for a second before I was burning again. My mind turned into nothing but a wall of fire, and I whimpered, trying to find more relief.
More.
I needed more.
