'It's called Eri,' said a soft, masculine voice in my head, and I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief as soon as I heard it.
'Gabriel,' I breathed out, the smile on my face unable to be contained. I was no longer in pain, I was in water, and I finally had Gabriel back; life was good.
'Hey Angel,' Gabriel replied softly. 'Did you miss me?'
'I really did,' I assured him. 'Let's not do that again, okay?'
'As much as I would like to reassure you that I won't, I can't promise it,' he sighed. 'The Eri apparently has healing properties that have allowed your genetic code to somewhat stabilize. However, I don't know what will happen once you get out of this box.'
