Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

I hummed in thought and decided to introduce myself again in a bit more detail besides just being known as the 'Admin.' Besides, I kind of wanted to see their reactions to learning I was from Alexis's future.

Black Sun (Admin): I suppose I'll give my introduction again, but a bit more thorough. My name is Yuno Fuji, I'm a first year at Duel Academy where I learn about Duel Monsters, in the Year 2091.

God's Tongue: You're from the future!?

Prima Ballerina: You're from the future!?

Goth Thunder: You're from the future!?

Prima Ballerina: Wait, wait, more specifically, you're from my future!?

Black Sun (Admin): Or a future remarkably similar to that of your world, Alexis. I won't tell you much about what happens in the future, but I will tell you that you're in some of my textbooks as one of the greatest female duellists to ever live.

Prima Ballerina: Really? That's amazing… Then, I'll need to work even harder so that I can go from being 'one of' to 'the' greatest!

Black Sun (Admin): I'll look forward to it, Alexis. I hope I can meet you in person sometime… Oh, right, before I forget! Don't all forget to Sign-In! Points are the most valuable resource that we have, so never forget to Sign-In!

With that said, I quickly changed to the Sign-In screen and did that myself.

You have signed in! You receive 600 points!

600 Points, hm? Not bad, but I'd like to see how valuable those points are by going to the shop.

A quick browse of the shop told me that 600 points was a pretty low amount overall. The only things I could buy were some miscellaneous skills like cooking and cleaning.

Changing to the Gacha Page, I saw there were three different 'tiers' of Gacha. 100 points for a basic roll, 1000 points for an intermediate roll, and 10,000 points for an advanced roll. And of course, ten times that for a multi summon.

The basic roll had a minimum rarity of F, and a maximum rarity of D. The intermediate roll had a minimum rarity of D, and a maximum rarity of B. And the advanced roll had a minimum rarity of B, and a maximum rarity of SS.

I turned my attention back to the chat to see how it went for the others.

God's Tongue: Why did I only get 100 points!? That's so low!

Goth Thunder: I got like 400, I have no complaints.

Sea Diva: Hehe~ Be jealous of me, I got 700 points~

Ashen Demon: … 300 points.

Prima Ballerina: 400 too.

Deviluke Princess: Wow, you all got a lot of points! I got really lucky and picked up 1000!

Goth Thunder: Seriously!? How lucky do you have to be to get the max amount of points!

God's Tongue: I'm jealous!

I snorted in amusement… Come to think of it, Lala was very lucky, wasn't she? She happened to teleport into Rito's room, who ended up solving all of her problems. Things kind of just worked out in a convenient way for Lala, even if her luck could seem bad at times.

Prima Ballerina: Anyway, we sort of glazed over that you're from the future, Yuno, but what is the future like?

I paused as I considered how to respond… There was only one way to answer that.

Black Sun (Admin): Card games on Motorcycles.

Prima Ballerina: … Card games on Motorcycles?

God's Tongue: Card games on Motorcycles?

Goth Thunder: Card games on Motorcycles?

Ashen Demon: What's a Motorcycle?

I snorted in amusement. That was about the reaction I was looking for, even Tez snickered in amusement.

Black Sun (Admin): A Motorcycle is sort of like a carriage or chariot that can move on its own, Byleth.

Ashen Demon: Oh, I see.

I hummed and sat at my computer, bringing up a video of a Turbo Duel between Hunter Pace and… The Queen, Jackie "Jack" Atlas.

Yes… In this perverse 5Ds world, Jack Atlas was a woman… It made me worried that Yusei might also be a woman, because I had read far too many isekai stories of all the male protagonists becoming women and joining the isekai'd guy's harem.

Ashen Demon: Next question… What is 'Gacha?'

Black Sun (Admin): It's a sort of random roll. You put in points, you could get something worth more, or you could get something worth less. It's all down to luck of the draw as far as Gacha goes… I don't recommend it unless you have the points to spare.

God's Tongue: … That sounds oddly personal.

Black Sun (Admin): … Mistakes were made.

Ashen Demon: Thank you for answering my questions. I would talk more, but I have to get back to my training.

Black Sun (Admin): That's fine, work hard Byleth.

Ashen Demon: Yes. See you all later.

I hummed and recorded the duel through the screen as the others talked in the chatroom for a while, before I nodded in satisfaction and sent it through the Chat.

Black Sun (Admin) has sent a video to the Group Chat! *Jack's Duel 1.mp4*

Black Sun (Admin): Here, this is what a duel looks like for those curious. Specifically, this is a turbo duel- a duel taking place while riding your motorcycle, better called as a Duel Runner or D-Wheel. This is the current Ranked 1 Duelist in the World, Jackie "Jack" Atlas's duel against a challenger called Hunter Pace for her title.

Black Sun (Admin): I'll let you all watch that. If any of you want to pick up the game, feel free to ask and I'll see if I can get a Duel Disk and some cards for you in the future. For now, I have some things to do too, so I'll see you later!

I chuckled as none of them responded, even Alexis, as they were no doubt watching and focusing on the Duel.

I did open up Uta's profile and send her a private message though.

Black Sun (Admin): Here are some of my favourite songs. I hope they help inspire you in the future, Uta.

Sea Diva: Oh, thank you so much Yuno! I'll share some songs with you later too! I hope we can meet in person one day.

Black Sun (Admin): I'll look forward to it, Uta.

I closed the screen and flopped down into my bed, taking a deep breath.

"Tired?" Tez asked me.

"Social interaction is tiring," I told him. "Especially if you're not used to it… The only ones I talk to are my spirits, more specifically you and Pandora. Maelstrom prefers to stay in the spirit world unless I call for him, and the other sins are the same."

"Well, perhaps you'll finally agree to Pandora's propositions or take that Akiza girl out on a date… Honestly, my partner desiring one of Quetzalcoatl's champions… What is the world coming to?"

"Oh please, we both know with your mindset that you would embrace us dating… You might even try to convert her into a Dark Signer and have her forge a partnership with Wayta."

A large, cat-like grin appeared on his face. "You know me so well, Partner. I'm surprised you remember about Wayta though."

I just snorted at his words, it was hard to forget given how much I'd heard him talking about the other Earthbound Gods- even the ones that never showed up in the anime.

Earthbound God Wayta, based on the Flower Nasca Lines. Wayta was a word meaning 'Flower' in the same language as the other Earthbounds names were. Wayta held the same power as the other Earthbound Gods, however it also held the power to destroy spell and trap cards on the opponent's field up to the number of Plant- Type monsters you controlled.

Wayta had been a very key part of the war between the Earthbounds and the Signers thanks to its ability to destroy the magics and traps when paired with their plant army. It also held great synergy with another Earthbound- Hatun Sacha.

When the two Earthbounds worked together, they were a near unstoppable force. In fact, it was precisely the teamwork of Wayta and Hatun Sacha that led to Quetzalcoatl expending a huge amount of its power to place a curse on the Earthbounds- preventing them from being able to work together in battle.

That was the reason every Earthbound God had the restriction that no other Earthbound Gods could be summoned while they were on the field.

"Well, well, here I thought you nodded off when I went on my rants," Tez chuckled. "Consider me marginally impressed!"

"Only marginally? You're a prick," I rolled my eyes at him.

"Say," Tez spoke up. "This thing has a lot of things, right? Does it have some of those overpowered future cards you told me about? Or a skill that can boost your own ability to create cards?"

I blinked and immediately opened up the screen again with a mental command and took a quick look-

Obelisk the Tormentor – 500,000 Points

Sky Dragon of Osiris – 500,000 Points

Winged Dragon of Ra – 750,000 Points

"The Egyptian Gods…" Tez breathed out… Even through the screen, the both of us could feel the power radiating from them. "Even I had only thought of them as a legend, we lived in vastly different parts of the Spirit World and the Earth, so I had only believed them as legends… To think, the three gods are real…"

I gulped and quickly began to look through the store for other skills…

Duel Spirit Creation – 50,000 Points

Duel Monster Card Creation – 50,000 Points

"So, a hundred thousand in total," Tez mused. "Plus, you can train these skills too… Yes, this will be very useful for you… You might even be able to create some of those future cards like Xyz."

"Only Xyz," I told him. I had nothing against Pendulums or Links, but adding those to an already confusing game this early? I would stick with Synchro, Fusion, and Xyz, thank you.

"Still, that means you'll have to save up for quite a while…" Tez grunted in displeasure. "Check the missions, maybe you have something there?"

I shrugged and swapped tabs.

Daily Missions

Participate in 1 Duel – Cleared.

Reward: 200 Points

Claim?

Y/N

Attend Class – Cleared.

Reward: 200 Points

Claim?

Y/N

And on the list went with some basic tasks, each worth about 200 points, some I'd already cleared today. That wasn't so bad, I could definitely work up to my objectives.

I looked further down the list.

Defeat Akiza Izinski in a Duel – Cleared.

Reward: Black Rose Moonlight Dragon, 5,000 Points

Claim?

Y/N

"I've never heard of this card," Tez murmured in confusion.

"It's from the Manga of this world," I told Tez. "It's sort of an alternative evolution path for Black Rose Dragon. When it's Special Summoned, or a Level 5 or higher monster is Special Summoned to the opponent's field, you can return that target to the hand once per turn."

"Ah, a crowd control card but in a different way," Tez hummed. "Useful, however knowing you…"

"This card works better for Akiza," I nodded. "As long as I beat Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend, you don't care about the other signers. So, I'll give this card to Akiza as a gift after our next duel."

"Look at you, raking in those affection points! Pandora is going to be awfully jealous, you know."

"You mean just like Mana probably is?" I asked him.

"True…" Tez snorted. "How long do you think until Mana finally gets jealous enough, and asks to be your Duel Spirit out of jealousy for Pandora?"

"Hard to say," I shrugged. "I don't know her well enough to say that, though I know she can get jealous. However, I certainly won't say no to her and will do my best to help her evolve just as I did with Pandora."

"Of course, it helps that I can corrupt her a bit in the process of evolution, right?" Tez smirked wickedly.

"Why, whatever do you mean?" I asked innocently.

Tez laughed as I smirked in amusement. It seemed my time at Duel Academy was going to be more interesting than I'd thought.
