Guards' Pov:

This day was no different from the others at first. In the morning - patrolling, and the only interesting thing that can happen is chasing petty thieves who stole wheat or flatbread. Then - simple guarding of the gates or checking people and goods. Today the check went without incident.

And then - patrolling the walls looking for violators, and this continued until the evening. In the evening, I met my colleagues on the wall, and we just started discussing different topics, and also having fun a little. This day began to differ from the others when night fell. Suddenly there was a rumble, everyone got scared and started looking for the source of the sound. Then there was another rumble, and we all noticed a bright multi-colored glow in the sky. It looked really beautiful.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the sky, we moved towards this beauty, forgetting about patrolling, including me. And this will come back to haunt us.

Cheng Hee POV:

The day was ordinary, as always. I was mostly busy with trade. My clan is the main supplier of weapons in this city and makes good money from it. Today, I went to meet with the leader to discuss the price of everything, as well as further supplies. After the meeting, I returned home.

And suddenly I remembered recent events. I found a beautiful girl about whom I heard rumors. She would have been a great addition to my harem, but her stubbornness ruined everything. She was too devoted to her husband, and her husband was not weak and steadfast. He dared to reject my offer and even kicked me out.

I wanted to eliminate him, but I heard rumors that he was strong. So I decided to just grab his wife when he was gone. In the end, she killed herself, and her husband killed 10 soldiers, including elite soldiers. I still remember the furious look he gave me. Fortunately, he is now a criminal and will not be able to enter the city.

After thinking about this, I decided to go to my bedroom to have fun with the concubines. When I left the room, I told the guard not to disturb me. And then I started having fun with all the women I had. All of them were bought either from family members or from the slave market, and all of them were beautiful. They did everything for my pleasure, although their eyes showed reluctance. They had no other choice.

While I was having fun, one of the guards burst into my room. Despite my displeasure, he said something that scared me: "Sir, the estate was attacked by unknown people, they killed almost all the guards! You need to ru*!"

Before he could finish speaking, a spear pierced him and blood gushed out of his mouth. He fell dead.

Seeing this, I could not restrain myself and screamed in fear. And then I noticed who was responsible for all this: one young man with a mask on his face and another, whom I immediately recognized. I felt fear and began to sweat.

Twenty minutes before these events

Cheng Dalei Pov:

We approached the He Family Estate and saw the guards at the entrance. They looked relaxed, so I shared the plan with Qin Man. After discussing, I walked forward.

I walked towards them slowly, they noticed me approaching and straightened up. In total, there were three of them. As I approached them, they suddenly shouted:

Guard: "Stay there! Identify yourself and tell me what business you have here!"

He spoke quite loudly. I simply stood up and began to act friendly, saying that I was lost: "Oh, sorry to scare you, I'm lost. Can you tell me a few things?" I said, motioning for the guard to come closer.

After that, I made a friendly conversation: "You see, I was wondering where you have..." (I put my lips close to his ear and whispered) "The butterfly garden, you know? As a gentleman, I shouldn't say it loudly, and frankly, it's embarrassing to say it."

He nodded his head in understanding and said: "I see you are a man of high culture. All you have to do is go there, turn left and go straight. When you see the stable, turn the corner, and there you will find what you asked me about," he said, shaking my hand.

And after he turned around and showed me his back, I stabbed him with my sword. Unfortunately, I have to start killing people now, because I can't let anyone remember or recognize me.

After that, Qin Man quickly ran up to the other two and killed them both with one blow. Fortunately, they didn't have time to scream. We looked at each other and nodded and went inside.

We sneaked in quietly, killing everyone who got in our way and searching every room. In one of them, a squad of five guards was waiting for us. When they noticed us, they first thought it was one of the castle staff, but when they saw that our entire bodies were covered in blood, especially our weapons, they screamed.

They immediately took up their weapons and rushed at us: two against me and three against Qin Man. They knew they had the advantage, so they attacked aggressively. I tried to resist them, but it seemed they were also experienced. At first, everything was fine: I easily dodged and blocked, but the longer it went on, the more tired I became and the worse I was at acting. So I missed a couple of hits.

At one point, one of them seemed to become overconfident and rushed at me. He was quite open, and I took advantage of it: I immediately hit him in the stomach, then in the arm, cutting it off later. But when I was about to finish him off, the second one prevented me by hitting me. I managed to react, but was partially wounded.

After that, I decided to risk fighting him, since the second one could no longer stop me. I ran towards the remaining man and threw my sword in his direction. The enemy's eyes widened, not expecting it. He was only able to parry the sword superficially, but subsequently opened up even more. I jumped on him and took the sword away, then aimed it towards his throat. He saw this and resisted to the end, putting both hands on the way to his throat. I pierced them, despite the resistance.

After a few seconds, I was able to pierce his throat, thereby killing him. The other one, whose hand I cut off, was lying on the floor, apparently due to blood loss. I approached him and finished him off. At this time, Qin Man had also finished his work. Unlike me, he had no wounds, but I was bleeding. So I took something like this world's bandages and began to stop the bleeding. After I stopped it, we continued on our way.

This kind of battle happened a few more times, but they were easier. Unfortunately, everyone in the manor already knew about our presence here. So we forced one of the guards to tell us where Cheng He was by torturing him, and we ran towards his bedroom, killing all the guards we met along the way. When we got there, a conversation was heard: "Master, the manor has been attacked by unknown people."

When we heard this, we ran, and Qin Man stabbed the guard to death. We saw the one we came for. Seeing this, I patted Qin Man on the shoulder and said to him: "I will leave you, you can do whatever you want."

He nodded to me, clutching the spear, and I left the room. Cheng was scared to death and began to beg for mercy:

"Stop! Don't kill me, please! I'll give you everything you want, just don't kill me! You'll regret it if you kill me! Killing a nobleman is punishable by death!"

But Qin Manwu couldn't be stopped. He clutched the spear and began to approach the one who had caused his wife's death. For about ten minutes, only screams could be heard from the bedroom.
