While Qin Man was busy, I decided to search the estate for valuables. On the way, I met two more guards, but it seemed that they were new, because they panicked a lot when they saw me, and I dealt with them without any difficulty. I was already quite tired, so I needed to finish this quickly.
First, I found the first room. There I saw the heir of the He family. He was still young; fear was visible in his eyes, and he was shaking non-stop. I decided not to touch him, and in order to avoid coming here, I said something to him before leaving the room:
- I will not touch you, do not be afraid. But if you follow in your father's footsteps, know this: I will find you. And I will kill you.
It seemed that these words scared him incredibly, because foam came out of his mouth, his eyes rolled back, and he fell. In short, he passed out. As I was about to leave, I noticed that there were a couple of light, but seemingly valuable jewels in his room, so I went up to them and took them.
Then I went out and five minutes later I came across the office of the head of the family. I realized that the most valuable things must be kept here. A guard was standing at the door on guard; apparently everyone already knows about us, and probably the city guards are waiting for us on the street. I will have to find a way out of this situation, but first I decided to go into the office and take the jewels.
I rushed at the guard. Because he was ready to attack, he was able to block my blow and tried to push me away, but he did not succeed. I began to press on him, and at one point he fell from my pressure. I did not miss this opportunity and hit him on the head with my sword.
After I killed him, I went to the door. It was locked, but the door was made of wood, so I simply kicked it down. When I entered, I immediately saw the most valuable thing in this room, a gold ingot. When I picked it up, it felt like it weighed 5 kilograms, a really big piece. I immediately left the room, even though there were other valuables in there. Unfortunately, I can't move them; this is enough.
On the way, I saw Qin Man, his clothes were all covered in blood. Upon seeing me, he immediately fell to one knee and said loudly:
"Master! I will never forget your help. I swear that I will serve you forever and will not spare my life."
It scared me at first, but I immediately answered him:
"Come on, Qin, get up from your knees. What are you embarrassed about? Besides, I'm glad you chose me, but now we have a problem: they are most likely waiting for us outside. We need to get out of the city as quickly and quietly as possible and get to the horses."
When he got up from his knees, he nodded, and we started to leave. We decided to leave the estate through the window, because there were already people at the main entrance. When we got out of the window, we quickly ran to the walls from where we came. On the way, the guards began to chase us little by little, but fortunately, because of the armor, they were slower.
When we climbed the walls, we quickly attached a rope and jumped down, continuing our way to the camp, where the horses were waiting for us. Luckily, the guards did not have time to start chasing, and, walking back to the fortress, we both finally relaxed.
