Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Future Plans (2)

He had few specific plans in mind for his cultivation, as he placed little importance on external aids such as pills or elixirs. His primary focus was on acquiring the necessary resources to quickly master a variety of martial arts. These arts needed to encompass skills for both offense and defense, as well as restorative abilities, agility, and keen perception. He was determined to carefully choose these martial arts in secrecy before progressing to the Qi tempering Stage in the forest, and ultimately returning to Shi city.

So his cultivation looked good.

Since the use of pills and elixirs was only a bonus of sorts, he could also craft them and sell them at a good price.

Second was easily his resources.

He needed a large number of Qi stones and other weapons and artifacts.

However, by taking the treasure, he would have to have mastery over Alchemy, artifact refining, Body refining, and some talisman arts as well.

He will try to become an elder of the Flying Sword Sect for a good while then leave the sect and look for a better city or a sect to settle his other plans.

He was going to wait to at least reach the middle of the Third Stage Profound Mortal Stage, then began his demonic activities.

He was certainly not going to join either the Shi Clan or the other Clans located in Shi City. His only goal was to join the Flying Sword Sect and become an elder.

If he proved his worth as A Grade talent then the foundation of the entire sect would be concentrated on him and mostly on him alone.

But that was if his talent and aptitude were even checked which every family and sect did when their disciples or Clansman reached the peak of Foundation establishment stage.

They will be tested on how much talent and aptitude they have.

Rough estimations can also be made before the talent ceremony and guessed on the performance and speed of their cultivation as well.

He firmly believed that achieving the Qi tempering stage was crucial, so he made a conscious decision to distance himself from the elders and sect leaders. He was determined to keep his talent and aptitude hidden, knowing that these experienced individuals were not foolish enough to reveal such matters. Interestingly, he had also come across rumors about Shin Shui, a female cultivator known as the Flying Sword within the Flying Sword Sect. She was gaining fame as a rising star with her C Grade talent and aptitude. Additionally, he learned about the existence of the Martial Beast Sect, a 5th-rate sect located 34 miles west of the Flying Sword Sect. Despite its proximity to the forest, he had already set his sights on joining the Flying Sword Sect and had no intention of considering the Martial Beast Sect.

He was determined to maintain a low profile, biding his time until he was strong enough to reveal his true power and earn respect throughout the state. His first step was to hunt and gather the valuable parts of dangerous beasts, which he could then sell for a substantial sum of money to fund the beginning of his new journey.

Rumors reached him of an upcoming fighting competition in Shi City, promising lucrative rewards for its top contenders. With the event scheduled to commence in about six weeks, he began devising his strategy to claim victory in the competition and seize the valuable spoils. His ultimate goal was to join the prestigious Flying Sword Sect and attain the status of an inner or true disciple, propelling himself to the pinnacle of cultivation. Only then would he be able to ascend to the esteemed position of elder within the sect and firmly establish his place in the world.

Now, he had made a few of his rough plans, and materials that he was going to take.

First, to have a continuous source of income, he needed some 2 Grade low level "Vitality Leaves Vien".

This sort of plant produced 12 Vitality Leaves every 2 weeks and if harvested properly.

Each leaf would be about 3 or 2 Dim Qi stones.

He had set the plan in motion.

Standing up he headed towards the dense jungles to kill some more beasts.
