On a sunny Saturday morning
Lane and her mother were getting ready for their appointment with their doctor
"Lane hurry up so we can come back early "
"Mum I'm done"
And they both left.
"Good day Mr jazziq "
Lane's mom and the doctor exchanged greetings
"Is she the one you said was having problems with breathing"
"Yes sir"
"Young lady can you explain better for me"
The doctor asked lane and she told him everything she was struggling with
Few minutes later after the doctor checked Lane
"Umm ma after all the test we conducted, to my greatest surprise we saw nothing buh we'll be giving you some drugs so anytime she is struggling to breath she can take them"
"Omg wait what's wrong, he didn't see anything, how come and it feels like my heart is weak"
Lane whispering to herself
"Thank you sir we'll be leaving "
Lane's mom said and they both left
"(Sighs) ohh lord let it not be what I'm thinking"
Lane's mom said to herself
"Darling are you alright "
"Yes mummy i am"
Lane answered.
Lane got to school on Monday and some of her classmates started questioning her about her friendship with Dylan
"Lane you see I think you should stay away from Dylan, his a user, his not a good guy"
Mirabel said to lane
"Umm(frowning her face) what do you mean his not a good guy"
Lane said
"Umm you know I have been friends with him for a long time now and I know him more than you "
"Buh Mirabel you're talking to Dylan right "
"Yes I am"
"So why are you asking me to stop talking to him while you're still talking to him"
"Well that's because I'm just using him"
"Mmm oh really "
"Yes I'm just telling you this because I like you "
"Mm thank you "
Lane said and she left there immediately
"(Sighs) do you think she'll stop talking to him "
Ella asked Mirabel
"Well I don't know buh if she doesn't stop then I'll stop speaking to her "
"(Sighs) okay then if you say so"
During mathematics class
Mr Kingsley their mathematics teacher asked lane a mathematics questions
Buh lane couldn't answer
She wasn't good at mathematics at all
Some of her classmates laughed at her and lane was so sad
"Hey are you still sad about what happened earlier today"
Chris asked lane
"(Rolling her eyes) well I'm fine as you can see I'm fine"
"Mm really (making jokes to make her laugh) common stop looking that way and just smile "
"(Sighs) fine"
And lane finally smiled
Dylan saw Chris and lane talking together and it's just like something went off on his mind.
