At midday, in a busy canteen at NYU University New York, a 20-year-old man was quickly wafting down food during his lunch break. He was a gorgeous young man standing at 6ft with smooth, pale white skin, brown curly locks on his head, and beautiful sky-blue eyes you could get lost in. Unfortunately, he was dressed in what could only be described as rags, giving away his financial status. His clothes had lots of patches where they had broken and couldn't afford to be replaced.

Suddenly, looking up, Jack noticed his girlfriend, Ava Bowen, holding hands with another man in the canteen queue. In shock and anger, Jack immediately stood up and rushed towards the couple, causing heads to turn at his sudden actions.

 "Ava, what are you doing holding this playboy's hands?" Jack shouted as he approached the couple.

"Who are you calling a playboy, you poor rat?" George answered while dressed in the latest designer clothes. 

"I'm not talking to you, Ava! What are you doing? Your, my girlfriend. Why are you holding hands with another man?" Asked Jack angrily as he reached the couple in the queue. 

"I'm not your girlfriend, Jack; what are you talking about? Why would I date a poor loser like you, can you afford to buy me the latest designer brands?" Ava said, looking at Jack fiercely, thinking, 'You useless loser, you will not ruin my opportunity to date a rich man.'

"Back off, poor rat. Get away from my girlfriend, or we will get physical." Said George in a threatening tone.

After hearing this, Jack grabbed Ava's hand and said, "Ava, we planned a future together. We were going to build a business together and become successful, letting no one get in the way of our love." 

"Nonsense; even if that did happen, you are useless and have no future. Why would I date you when George is rich and successful from the Gallago family?" Answered Ava.

"I have already warned you to back off, loser," George growled before punching Jack in the face.

"Boys get him; this poor loser thinks Ava is his girlfriend," Said George, laughing at the end of the sentence. Immediately upon hearing this, George's minions pounced on an already down Jack, punching and kicking him into a bloody mess. 

Watching while laughing, George commented, "Obviously, being poor affects the brain adversely. HAHAHA."

"I can't believe this loser thought we were a thing." Replied Ava while listening to Jack's cries on the floor while being beaten.

'I can't believe I thought I had a future with this fickle woman.' Jack thought as he spit out a mouthful of blood as he was continually beaten until he became unconscious. While Jack was unconscious, a mysterious screen appeared in his mind.

While this was going on in Jack's head, his identical twin brother Preston heard about what had happened to Jack and rushed to the canteen only to see his twin lying in a pool of his own blood, unconscious. Straight away, scared Preston picked Jack up without caring about smearing himself in blood and ran straight to the school's nurse. 

10 hours later, at 10 PM, Jack finally awoke covered in bruises, feeling pain all over his body from the betting he had received. Suddenly, upon opening his eyes, he noticed a blue screen in front of his eyes. 'What the hell is this, system?'

'Wait, a system like all those stories I have been reading recently?'

"No, just that Ava was, no! It really happened. Why did she do that to me?" I replied brokenly.

"Enough of this conversation. You have been expelled, Jack. Now leave NYU property." The nurse said in annoyance.

As I was about to reply, Preston shook his head and gave me the look, we will talk outside. 

10 minutes later, Preston was helping me walk towards the exit of the University.

"Where are we going, Pres? This is not the way back to our dorm room?" I asked curiously.

"There's no easy way to say this, but George's family is rich and on the school board, and we got expelled for misbehavior, you for fighting and me for helping you. Our belongings have already been thrown out by the entrance to the school." A melancholy Preston replied.

"What? That's ridiculous, our future. All I did was attempt to stop my girlfriend. No ex, now holding hands with another guy." I answered. Before deeply sighing and remembering the system, I looked over at Preston and asked,

"Preston?"

"Yes, brother," Preston replied.

"Do you believe in me?" I asked.

"Always, brother, I will always stand behind you." Answered Preston straight away.

"Good, let's use this as fuel to achieve our ambitions. I have a plan. Tomorrow, we receive our wages from the supermarket. Let's quit and use the salary to start our company and make Mom and Dad proud," I told him.

"What are you crazy, Bro? We don't even have a place to stay tonight." Preston said.

"Don't worry. I have enough money to pay for a hotel tonight, my treat." I said.

"Who are you, and what's happened to my twin?" Preston jokingly asked as we picked up our few old belongings, including our patched clothes.
