Walking away from NYU University, the twins found themselves strolling in an empty and dark Central Park, talking between themselves about what the future holds.
"Brother, what is the plan now? We have been kicked out of university and have nowhere to sleep and no money," Preston asked.
Contemplating, Jack answered, "Don't worry, brother. It's my treat tonight after you saved my arse. I have around $200 and will pay for a hotel; a single room, of course, can't be too fancy."
After a few minutes of convincing Preston, the twins walked toward a nearby hotel to hopefully have a good night's rest in a comfortable bed. Upon entering the hotel, the receptionist gave them a strange look, as they were both wearing old, scruffy clothes not fit for this prestigious establishment.
Letting her professional side take hold, the slightly chubby receptionist asked what they were here for, "What can I help you, gentlemen, with this evening?"
"We would like a single room with two beds, please," Jack answered, attempting to sound fine while leaning on Preston.
"Okay, one second, that will be $200 for one night, please." The receptionist replied.
Smiling, hearing this information, Jack reached into his right pants pocket only to find his card gone and his pocket empty. 'What am I going to do with my card? My money is gone, ' thought Jack hysterically.
[Ding! The host is an idiot. Your money has been transferred to your Swiss bank account 001. The card can be found in your left pocket.]
Startled, Jack, after hearing the system's voice in his mind, reached into his left pants pocket to pull out a black card with a golden trim. The only text on this card was gold, with his name and account number clearly written in a style that exuberates wealth. Immediately upon seeing the card, Jack pulled out the receptionist's attitude and did a full 180 flip with her, batting her eyelids and doing everything she could to accommodate these guests.
Immediately after the brothers entered the elevator, the receptionist called her manager in a hurry saying. "Manager Chris, we have just had two young men book a room with one of the cards we are told to watch out for."
Before she could continue, Chris hurriedly said, "Which card and at this time of night?"
"Manager, it was a black card with a golden trim. On the card was written his name and account 001," the receptionist replied.
"WHAT! 001 damn, 00 accounts are from Swiss bank and are almost impossible to get unless you are super wealthy plus have extensive connections. I shall be in the lobby in the morning waiting for this young man to come for breakfast I would love to meet him." Said an excited manager, Chris.
10 minutes later, the twins were on each of their luxuriously comfortable beds. After saying goodnight to each other, the system suddenly popped up in front of Jack's vision.
[Ding! 10X Cashback triggered $200 spent. 10X multiplier applied received $2000.]
'Yes, it's real soon. My brother and I will rule the business scene.' Jack thought as he tried not to jump from excitement and wake up his brother.
[Ding! Swiss bank account 001 received $2000. The new account balance is $2000.]
[Ding! The first mission is completed. 'Generate your first cashback.' An additional $10,000 awarded to the host.]
[Ding! Swiss bank 001 new balance $12,000.]
'What system missions, what is this system?' Jack asked, surprised by the sudden completion of his first mission.
[Ding! The system will release a mission to be completed for extra rewards. You spin the wheel, and then the system will generate a mission for the host.]
'Interesting, so it's more than just some money back after every purchase,' Jack said as the blue screen disappeared in his head. He considered the glorious future that awaited him and his brother. As he had read system books before, he decided to go for it and said in his head, 'System status,' and was immediately greeted with his status.
[Name: Jack Vilmot]
[Age: 20]
[Networth: $12,000]
[System Level: 1]
[Skills: Genius]
[Missions]
[Locked]
'I guess that's nice and simple. Let's look at the missions tab system,' Jack thought, excited about what may lie behind it.
[Ding! Spin the wheel host]
Jack immediately did so and watched as the wheel started spinning with brilliant light flying by before it slowly started slowing down.
[Ding! Mission issued: To be a businessman, you have to first look like one. Buy some professional clothes and look the part. Don't forget about accessories. Time limit: 24 hours.]
'That's not a bad first mission. We need better clothes than these rags anyway first impressions count, and it's a good way to make some easy cashback. But how will I explain it to my brother?' Jack thought in deep contemplation about how he would explain his sudden wealth.
[Ding! You stupid host, just say you won the lottery.]
'That's a great idea, thanks system. I will tell him I won $100,000 in the lottery. Do you have a name, by the way?' Asked Jack in his head.
[Ding! No, just the system; the host can change it if it makes him more comfortable.]
'How about Amelia?' Jack thought with no response.
'Jane? or Heather?'
'I've got it, Isabella?'
[Ding! Calculating, the system likes Isabella is my new name.]
'Well, it's lovely to meet you, Isabella; together with my fellow genius twin, we will rise to the top from losers to a business empire.'
