The car stopped in front of a seemingly normal looking house and Alana made her way
out of it and then proceeded to walk to the front door with the robot, still in the appearance of her
father, followed. Alana just let out a tired sigh, before opening the door and stepping.
The interior of the home was filled with machines and robots of all kind automated and
programmed to cook, clean, and do other manual tasks. Alana let out another sigh before
dumping her school bag on the robot that took on her father's appearance, who upon entering the
house, reverted back to its robotic appearance.
"Take it to my room, I'm going to my dad", said Alana.
"You father currently busy and does not wish to be disturb", the robot spoke with a steely mechanical voice but Alana was already making her way to her father, ignoring the robots words. Alana made her way to a room with a steel door, sealed and locked with a high tech security system special design to deny access to anyone without the authorization of the man who built it.
Placing a hand on the security panel on the only to hear an AI voice saying "Alana William, I'm sorry but your father does not wish to be disturbed right now, access denied".
Alana just let out an annoyed sigh, before reaching in to her pock and brought out her mini game console, hook it up to the panel and the pressed a button.
"Alana Williams, access granted", the steel door then opened up allow Alana to enter. Inside then room was a lab with different kinds of tech and machines, and at the very center of it all was man wearing a pair rectangle spectacles seated before a massive super computer, clicking away frantically on the computer. On the floor were piles of notes filled with equations. The computer screen was filled with the continuous flow of data he busy frantically typing in for it to analysis, with the screen continuously flashed the words failure and unsuccessful.
"Still busy", she spoke from behind the man. The man in turned didn't seem to acknowledge her presence in anyway and simply ignored her, putting all his attention on the computer and the work he was currently doing.
"You know, most father would be thrilled to have a conversation with their only daughter and go out of their way to actually spend time with them", said Alana, her annoyance and frustration evident in her voice.
The man upon hearing what she said let out a tired sighed before saying, with out averting his gaze away from the computer screen, "I instructed ARG99 along with the rest of the robots to inform you, that I was busy".
"Yeah, did you really think I would listen to that thin can", said Alana as she bent down to pick up on of the notes.
"Project Synthesis, this old thing, don't tell me you're still working on this. I thought after so many failures would just give up", said Alana as she glanced down at the notes, recognizing the text and equation as another one of his continued failed attempts on doing the impossible.
"Just give it a rest already dad. You've at this for so long, don't you think its time that you just…", her words were cut short by the man stopping his clicks on the computer's keyboards and turn to her, before saying, with a dead ice cold gaze, "No another word".
Words were voice of any form of emotion and were just cold and empty, he spoke to her as she wasn't his daughter and was simply an annoyance hindering his work.
He then returned to striking the keyboard frantically, diverting his gaze away from her once more.
"Leave, if you require anything asked the robots, they specially programmed to cater to all your needs", he spoke with his back turned to her as he continued the work he deemed for more important than her.
Alana just crushed her hands in anger ad frustration before leaving the room, not knowing what else she expected from him or why she even bothered to even try. He didn't care about her or anything else, all that mattered to him was his work.
Making her way out of her father's work room and in to hers, slamming the doors shut as she entered before collapsing on her bed. Eyes clamped shut in a futile attempt to keep her tears at bay, but slowly they sipped out of her and soils the sheets she laid on. Thinking about how life, how she was constantly bullied by the other kids in school, the teacher who kept pestering, and how she would have to spend the entire day dealing with all that only to come back home surrounded by automatons and a father would who barely acknowledged her existence.
She then, in a fit of blind rage, fueled her frustration, began to lash out, flinging and throw anything she could get her hands o, from her pillow to a nearby alarm clock, she was in such a fanatic and mindless rage that she didn't even realize when she grabbed hold of her most cherished possession and almost smashed it in pieces it wasn't for the sound of familiar beeping.
Alana then looked at what she held on her eyes, with her teary eyes widening with shock upon realizing what she had almost done. On her hands was her gaming console and on it's was smiling face icon, with speak bubbled next to it, asking "What's wrong?"
Alana upon seeing it out a tired sigh and calmed before sitting on her bed. With console still on her hands before saying, "It's nothing Iris"
The text on bubbled then changed, saying "Are you sure about that?"
Alana just let out another tired sigh.
