"Wake up, Sita!" a voice called out, jolting Sita from her deep slumber.
"Ugh, five more minutes, please," she murmured, pulling the covers tighter around her. But as the reality of the day dawned on her, she pushed herself up in bed, letting out a long yawn.
"Alright, time to start the day," she said to herself, stretching her arms and legs.
Sita moved around her bedroom, preparing for the day ahead.
"Alright, let's pick out a nice outfit," she said to herself, flipping through the hangers in her closet. "Hmm, this one looks good. And some simple jewelry to match."
As she pulled on her clothes and arranged her hair, her thoughts wandered to the day ahead. She had a big presentation at work and couldn't afford to mess up.
"Today's the day, Sita. You can do this," she encouraged herself, pulling on a pair of pumps. "Time to kick some butt at work!"
Sita made her way into the kitchen, setting a cup of coffee for herself
"Nothing like a good cup of coffee to start the day," she said, inhaling the rich aroma as the liquid began to brew. As she waited, she busied herself with gathering her things for work, throwing a few essentials into her bag.
"Phone, keys, wallet...check! Alright, I'm ready to rock this day."
She poured herself a steaming cup of coffee, took a sip, and made her way out the door, her steps quickening as she hurried to the subway.
Sita arrived at work in high spirits, her heels clicking on the polished marble floors as she entered the building. She paused to greet the receptionist, returning her friendly smile and exchanging a few words.
"Good morning, Diane! How are you today?" Sita asked, her voice chipper.
"Oh, just fine, thanks for asking!" Diane replied, her eyes sparkling as she took in Sita's outfit. "Ooh, I love that dress! You look fabulous today, Sita."
"Thanks, Diane!" Sita replied, beaming with pride.
Sita continued on her way, waving and exchanging quick hellos with her coworkers as she made her way to her desk. As she settled in and booted up her computer, a few of her colleagues paused to admire her outfit.
"Hey Sita! You look stunning today," Amanda, one of her coworkers, commented, her voice full of admiration. "That dress really brings out your eyes."
"Thanks, Amanda!" Sita replied with a warm smile. "I'm glad you like it."
As the morning wore on, Sita worked diligently on her presentation, the hours flying by as she poured over the details. The office buzzed around her, a constant hum of activity filling the air.
"Sita!" A voice called out from behind her. She turned to see Liam, a charming grin on his face.
"Hey Liam!" Sita replied, feeling her cheeks flush. "What's up?"
"Just wanted to wish you good luck on your presentation today," Liam said, leaning against her desk. "I heard it's a big one."
Sita nodded, a nervous smile on her lips. "Yeah, it's definitely a big deal. But I've been working really hard, so I'm feeling pretty confident about it."
Liam's grin widened. "That's the spirit. I know you'll knock it out of the park. But if you're feeling nervous, maybe I could take you out for a drink after work to celebrate?"
Sita's heart fluttered at the invitation, but she hesitated, knowing that the conversation could easily veer into dangerous territory.
As Sita made her way to the trendy rooftop bar Liam had suggested, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out to see a message from him.
"Hey, Sita! Just wanted to let you know I'm already here. Drinks are on me, so grab a seat and I'll come find you."
Sita smiled as she read the message, a flutter of butterflies taking flight in her stomach. Liam really knew how to make a girl feel special.
As she stepped through the bar's entrance, Sita's eyes were met with a stunning view of the city skyline, the sun setting behind the towering skyscrapers. She took a moment to soak in the sight, a sense of calm settling over her.
"Sita!" Liam's voice cut through the din of the bar, and she turned to see him waving from a table near the edge of the roof.
"Liam!" she replied, moving toward him with a smile. "Thanks for inviting me here. The view is Incredible.
Liam grinned, rising to greet her. "You're very welcome. I figured a place like this was a perfect fit for someone as incredible as you." He pulled out a chair, gesturing for her to sit.
Sita blushed, feeling her heart skip a beat at his compliment. "You're too kind, Liam. But really, this place is beautiful. I feel like we're on top of the world."
Liam chuckled. "Well, we're not quite that high up, but I'm glad you're enjoying it. So, what'll it be?
Sita considered the cocktail menu, her eyes scanning over the list of colorful, exotic-sounding concoctions.
"Ooh, they all sound amazing," she mused. "I think I'll go with the 'Midnight Sky'. It's got gin, lemon, blueberry, and a dash of lavender. Sounds divine."
Liam nodded approvingly. "Excellent choice. And for me, I'll have the 'Spiced Sunset'. It's got a little bit of everything - rum, orange, cinnamon, and a touch of ginger. Can't go wrong with that."
As the server took their orders and disappeared into the bustling bar, Liam turned back to Sita, his face filled with gratitude.
As the evening wore on, the conversation flowed easily between them, ranging from lighthearted jokes to deeper discussions about life and work. Sita found herself surprised at how comfortable she felt around Liam, and even more surprised at how much she enjoyed his company.
As they polished off the last of their food and the conversation wound down, Sita realized with a start that it was getting late.
"Oh my goodness," she said, checking her watch. "I didn't realize how late it had gotten.
"Hey, no rush, Sita," Liam said, glancing at his own watch. "But if you're ready to call it a night, I'd be more than happy to escort you home. It's the gentlemanly thing to do." He grinned mischievously. "Besides, I wouldn't want you to miss out on any more sleep than you already have. You need your beauty rest, after all".
"Oh, Liam," Sita replied, waving him off. "Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself. A cab will do just fine." She laughed at his expression of mock disappointment. "Really, it's no problem. You should head home too. It's been a long day for both of us."
Liam sighed dramatically. "Very well, Sita. If you insist. But know that I shall be deeply wounded by your refusal of my chivalrous offer."
Sita grinned. "You'll survive, Liam.
With that, the two of them said their goodbyes and descended from the rooftop. As they made their way to the street, Liam hailed a cab for Sita, opening the door for her with a flourish.
"Thank you, Liam," Sita said, climbing into the taxi. "You're too kind."
Liam smiled back, a playful glint in his eyes. "Don't mention it, Sita. I live to serve."
As the cab pulled away, Sita leaned her head back against the seat, a satisfied smile on her face.
