Finally she was discharged and the driver had come to pick her up. The thought of leaving her husband and son in that house but going back to meet an empty home was tearing her apart.
At the door step of her formerly lively home she couldn't help the overflow of old memories just that they had become sad . She paused and looked at the baby who had clung to her so tightly. She imagined a welcome party that she was supposed to expect but not anymore. She had no one except this little thing in her hands. The hole in her heart that had started to heal had expanded in these few days.
She didn't have much energy to go to her room. She had dozed off on the same place where she had sat down crying. She had sent away all the servants in advance before her return so she could have some space to herself.
She was awakened by the cry of the baby still in her arms. She glanced at her watch and was shocked how long she had slept. In a hurry she got up and went to the wash room to have a long bath and bathe her child.
The baby seemed to enjoy the bath and at least she could remove her mind from reality for a few minutes. This little thing brought both sad and happy memories.
After the bath she stepped out of the wash room to go get fresh set of clothes from the room . Most of the clothes where picked by Stephen and Felix . She didn't want to leave anymore but she knew she just had to for this sweet child. She had always wanted to hold this child in her arms but now she felt so pathetic. Maybe she was never meant to have a happily ever after and this was the time to pay for all she had done in the past.
She couldn't cry anymore she was never the cry type from the beginning and it was useless anyways . What she needed to do now was to rest because she would be expecting visitors soon and it didn't look like her life was going to get any better. Life wasn't some damn fairytale after all.
