Tears began to roll down from the man's eyes as he clutched onto his cut-off arm, trying to hold back the blood and tears. He didn't scream, as he knew the boy before him would kill him instantly.
Yu Jing let the man calm down while racking up his brain to think about what to do next.
It didn't take long before the man calmed down.
Yu Jing sat on the bed and asked, armed and crossed. "Tell me, who sent you here?"
Yu Jing had his guesses, but he wanted to confirm them first before blurting them out.
"I am from Devil's Cave Sect. I was assigned to be Miss Lily's bodyguard. We are always in the shadows, watching over Miss Lily. However, we only protect her when she comes outside of the sect, as the sect is the safest place for her anyway. Miss Lily's father, Sect. Master Leon, told us to hide in the shadows till his orders come."
'The safest for them is in the sect? Are they underestimating the sect, or do they know the sect's secret? or … have they infiltrated the sect deeply?' When this thought came to Yu Jing's mind, a drop of sweat rolled down his face, but fortunately his captive was not in the mood to see his face, so he was able to quietly wipe it out of his face.
"Do you know when they might start their plan?"

The man in black's head was severed from his neck, and his eyes widened as he didn't know why Yu Jing killed him so suddenly while he was giving him information.
Yu Jing's worry was in those two questions, so after getting those, he didn't care about the man in front of him.
Yu Jing's gaze landed on the deep forest outside of his window, where everybody was rushing. He said this to himself with concern. "I have to leave the sect as fast as possible, or my salted fish life will be finished."
As a cautious guy, Yu Jing has two goals on his mind now. First to find out why Lily was targeting him, and later to leave the sect.
Leaving the sect is easy for him, as he wasn't a prominent figure in the sect, just a mortal. The problem is capturing Lily, as she was deep in the sect's ruin, and who knows how powerful her guards were. The one Yu Jing killed now didn't give him much confidence, as she might have sent her weakest guard thinking he was a mortal.
"Still, this is my best chance. She is now in her most vulnerable position." Strengthening his mind and putting away his cautious personality for a second, he began to go towards the sect's ruin.
However, at that moment, the long-lost system's mechanical voice came in.

Yu Jing shook his head and put away the distracting thought. "No matter how similar the cultivation worlds may be, I am now in a… real world. To Yu Jing's astonishment, he didn't see any broken or dilapidated buildings. In front of him was a blue portal where people were constantly going in.
