Looking at the character profile, the fourteen-year-old Yu Jing sighed in relief.

Yu Jing wasn't a native of this cultivation world. He was a traverser or reincarnator who, just like others, died from random horse shit. And what is this random horse shit, you ask? He was visiting America for a holiday when suddenly an angry man ran around and shot whoever was in his sight.

Thinking of that made him angry and sad. 'Father was right. I shouldn't have visited that crazy country.'

But the world he was currently in was thousands of times crazier than that country. Anyone can die at any time, and no one would be able to even trace the cause of your death. This was a cultivation world where strong people could squash a mountain with the twist of their thumb.

Fortunately, he was in a sect where his safety was a bit higher than in other places, despite it being a small sect. As an orphan, it was his luck that he was able to join this sect.

In this world, everyone after the age of 12 could start their cultivation journey. To help Yu Jing on his journey, a typical golden finger for every traverser was present—the system.

Still, Yu Jing didn't start his cultivation, remembering his first conversation with the system.

"System, you arrived just on my 12th birthday. I don't want to lie; I like this surprise." The 12-year-old happy Yu Jing teared up in joy, hearing the system's voice in his mind. He needed some self-confidence to survive, and what was better self-confidence than your own strength?

"System, give me my birthday gifts and turn on some kind of function that can block anyone from discovering anything about me."

[ You are gifted x10 Fate Pulls, and sorry, host. I do not have any function to block any prying eyes. ]

"Ten Fate Pulls? Is this some kind of gach—wait, what? You don't have any of those functions!? You are the worst thing I ever got for my birthday!"

Then we return to the present day, where Yu Jing was glossing over his character profile.

"System, you told me it would take at least 2 years to get a blocking function, but it is already past 2 years. Don't tell me it will take more time." Yu Jing asked with black lines all over his face.

[ Host, please be patient. There is some tweaking left to do. It will arrive tomorrow, and you have my promise. ]

Yu Jing instantly scoffed. "Tch, you and your words. I don't want to believe anything you say. Oh Lord, why did you give me this weak system?"

[ Host, don't cry. I will say with certainty that it will become active tomorrow, and if it doesn't, I will give you the universe's strongest cultivation technique ever. ]

"Yeah, yeah. I will wait." With that said, Yu Jing left his cabin and went to do his work.

The reason Yu Jing was patient was because even if the system wasn't present, he would still continue doing his mortal job and live a rather normal, easy-going life.

He wasn't as loser or oppressed as his fellow reincarnators. He had a life full of joy and fulfillment. He didn't want much in this brand-new world. He would be happy just watching others' actions and bravos. Cultivation was just a bonus to his life and safety insurance.

Raised by a sweeper of this sect, his future was destined to sweep the footprints and dirt of others.

The sun had just risen, but to cultivators, this meant nothing—just another number counted on their huge lifespan.

Taking his broom, Yu Jing went to his assigned posts to clean things up.

The first place he went was the outer sect disciple dorms, as the first priority was to keep disciples happy.

As Yu Jing was sweeping away the dirt from a wooden cabin, he saw a dried patch of blood stain beside it. There were even some on the walls.

It wasn't new for him to see things like this. He had already cleaned a few others along the way just now. However, Yu Jing gave this one a little more attention before going to bring water and a piece of cloth.

After he was done cleaning it up, he looked at the cabin and thought to himself with pity. 'I don't know how long you will live, but I hope you find a way to escape this misfortune of yours.'

Yu Jing has already seen a few disciples die after having this kind of incident. Especially to the ones that have blood stains outside their cabins every day.

This kind of thing isn't new, as competition among disciples was encouraged by elders. However, this competition has weeded out many inspiring, weak disciples who couldn't fend off strong disciples who extorted resources from them.

Yu Jing could say he was really fortunate. Mortal servants lives were as important as those of elders and core disciples in sects, as enemy spies could easily infiltrate the sect using mortals, so having loyal and trained servants was required in every sect.

Because of this sole reason, Yu Jing wasn't in a hurry to cultivate and was prepared to wait as much as possible for the blocking function.

Thinking of his mortal work with the strength of a cultivator, Yu Jing couldn't help salivating about his future.

'I will have the easiest cultivation journey in history!'

Cultivation strength aside, who would want to go into conflict with a mortal? Even if someone did, it would be those arrogant, weak cultivators who take joy in bullying mortals.

Thinking of it, Yu Jing had a smug smile on his face.

At that moment, a voice came in front of him.

"Hey, you. Why are you smiling like that?"

Yu Jing came back from his euphoria and saw a girl squinting her eyes at him. From the looks of it, she could explode at any moment.
