In the mist of having this kind of dream that he wasn't sure if it was either a nightmare or a distant memory illusion Mikeal was asleep all the way to the camp, and Lyra tried her all to wake him up because not only was Mikeal in deep slumber but he looked like he was in pain. The way he was flinching and turning he was even sweating like he was being electricuted of something.
His temperature was high up Mikeal was burning like a hot iron every time Lyra touched him so she could wake him up she would get burned.
"Scar? Wake up you are having a nightmare, come on Mikeal" Lyra doing the best she can.
"Isn't he waking up?" One of the candidates asked Lyra.
"No he looks like he's going in shock look at the way he is, he's sweating like crazy" Lyra now starting to get worried.
A soldier came to check on the commotion that was being held in the back seat of the bus.
"Hey sit down! What's going on here?" The soldier makes his way to the crowd.
Upon his arrival and realising what was the disturbance and commotion about he saw Mikeal lying flat still flinching and burning up.
"What's going on with him?" The soldier moved everyone away from Mikeal.
"I don't know we've been trying to wake him up the best way we can, but he doesn't seem to respond" Lyra starts to sob.
The soldier takes off his jacket and asked one of the candidates to go and get a bottle of water next to the driver, the candidate he sent came back running the soldier took the bottle and took off his tank top, spilled water on it to make it wet enough to put it on Mikeal's forehead. Every girl that was there forgot about Mikeal for a brief second they were distracted by the physic of the soldier even Lyra herself drooled a little.
"Anyway do you think that's going to work?" Lyra snaps out of it.
"I hope so" the soldier sounding unsure.
It hadn't passed even a minute after he placed his wet tank top on Mikeal's forehead but it was now so dried off, literally steam came off.
"What the?" The soldier and everyone else who saw this unexplainable thing happen were so stunned and shocked.
"Oh yeah for some reason he's really hot and I mean like literally hot" one of the girl's said.
Lyra gave her this scary look "what? But he is, you can see for yourself" the poor girl tries to defend herself.
"There must be another explanation" against the warnings the soldier went on ahead and took his tank top off Mikeal's burning body the very moment he touched it he got himself burned.
The soldier jumped but not at the right time his tank top was so hot it burned him "ouch" he threw it away to nurse his burnt hand it was toasted, everyone was so afraid they just gave him something to use to cover up his burnt hand.
While he was covering his hand small drops of his blood dripped in Mikeal's mouth and just like that Mikeal awakened from his coma.
"What just happened?" Mikeal was feeling all better now and back to normal like nothing happened to him.
"Oh thank God you are awake" relieved to see this miracle Lyra couldn't help herself she just jumped in to hug Mikeal, who by the way had no idea what's going on.
"We are glad you are okay kid and just in the knick of time when we just entered the gate" the soldier gets up his hand all covered up.
The buses stop and everyone was amazed by the sight of what they saw from the inside of the bus, the tilted black windows had changed colour somehow and what they saw they couldn't comprehend. Just seeing the portion base with couple of hundred different transportations.
The buses, the planes from combat flights to medical choppers as for the cars all kinds from trucks, tanks, vans every kind of military car was on that base some were leaving and some were coming in. They saw even the soldiers running up and down exchanging gears those who just came in gave those who were going out.
"Whoa... What is this place?" Candidates couldn't believe what they are looking at so they asked themselves questions.
"This my friends is the Church's military defence base" a soldier came into the bus he wasn't like the other soldiers his uniform was different it had more stars than any soldier, plus the colour of his uniform it was camouflage in both black and white.
This was General Yamamoto, Yamamoto was quite old he had grey hair with a streak of black he was scary looking because of the eye patch he had on his right eye that if looked at carefully was covered in scars. His eye colour was green with a well groomed and shaved van dyke grey beard with a streak of black.
He had quite an interesting physical appearance he was a bit muscular and fit, he literally made his uniform look tight on him.
"What are you waiting for then? Come out and let's explore the whole place" General Yamamoto led the group out.
Outside waiting for them were other candidates not from their school but from other schools too, Mikeal's group was taken by General Yamamoto and the other groups were taken by other soldiers who were Lieutenants.
They were taken on a tour to see the whole army base just before they could get inside the facilities the group was taken to each and every single military special orps force facility.
The weapons facility it was so big and massive inside there were kinds of weapons from guns, knives, granades and even swords among many, but these weapons were every day weaponry they were different special and unique. They were sealed in a reinforced bullet proof windows.
"What are those?" A goofy looking nerd boy asked as he was busy taking notes.
"Those my boy are the only weapons that do any harm on our enemies" General Yamamoto said.
"You mean the cannibals?" The goofy looking nerd boy fixed his glasses and wrote something down.
"Yes these weapons are a special kind made by our special craft masters, they are made of a certain kind of brand the skin of the cannibals" General Yamamoto explained.
"When do we get ours?" Mikeal's face expression had changed he was pretty mad he clenched his fist.
"Easy there soldier you are going to get your own but not yet you've still got a long way to go" General Yamamoto touched Mikeal's shoulder as if he could tell what was in Mikeal's mind.
"What do you call them?" Lyra turned General Yamamoto's attention to them.
"We call them Kinkades" said General Yamamoto.
"Kinkades interesting" the goofy looking nerd boy scripts down so fast.
The tour of the weapon area was now over General Yamamoto took them to almost every area he believed that they needed to see from the area of science and engineering, where they study about the cannibals and Kinkades. To the area where soldiers train to the area where they would be going in to attend classes.
General Yamamoto saved the best for last a area where they designed armours and suits that the soldiers wear when they go to fight against the cannibals.
"Welcome to our last stop the armour room" General Yamamoto welcomed them.
The armour room was the most impressive of them all it was big in the inside and stretched wide further, instead of lockers it had capsules a couple of thousands if not mistaken. Each capsule was written a soldier's name who owned that capsule.
"Do we get to see the armours and suits, sir?" A good looking jock guy asked.
"Oh no we can't let you see the suits and armours but we can show you the prototypes" said General Yamamoto.
The room suddenly turned all of the lights and became black, a light turned on, on the other side of the glass and a scientist came out she was all alone then showed the armour. It was so huge and it looked heavy it was black in colour it looked like an astronaut suit but more military like.
Just after being shown the armour the room became black again turned on again now instead of the woman scientist there was now a male scientist he showed the suit prototype the suit was beautiful way better than the armour it was black in colour and it's fabric was like one of those superhero special fabrics it did look like a scuber diver suit.
"Well I'm sure you must be hungry and tired come with me I'll show you where you'll be sleeping tonight" General Yamamoto took the group.
He took them inside the facility and took them into a room that was written the letter A outside on it's wall, it looked like one of those rooms were they would send psychopaths or experimental subjects.
General Yamamoto stood by the door and it opened like an elevator "in you go" he said "tonight all of you will be crashing here" the group entered just as the goofy looking nerd boy was about to ask something.
The door closed.
