"Where is the road leading outside?" Vondrel asked
"Use your full speed and scale the wall" the system answered
"Hmm...how am i meant to pull that off ?" Vondrel complained. Seeing how high the walls were.
"Stay right there and expect miracle. Ahh i blame the world for punishing me with this dry head of an host" the system exclaimed.
Vondrel...."_"
Vondrel made a stance and immediately bolted forward with immense speed making dust and the rocks and where he was previously standing to be blasted upward.
'Swoosh'
In the blink of an eye, he scaled the wall with astonishing speed, his body moving with the grace of a predator. His hands gripped the rough surface as his feet found perfect footholds, allowing him to ascend effortlessly. For a fleeting moment, it seemed like he had mastered the impossible, defying gravity with ease. But just as quickly as he reached the top, his lack of control betrayed him.
His momentum carried him forward without precision, and before he could steady himself, he stumbled. His feet slipped, and the solid ground he had just reached vanished beneath him. In a heartbeat, he was plunging downward into another gaping hole.
Bam
He crashed on the ground so hard but he didn't feel any of his bones breaking.
"Wow i am still alive." He muttered after checking his body.
He bolted upward again, this time stopping a moment before he fall into another hole.
"Where is this place, isn't it a maze, what am i doing in a maze?" He thought out loud but no answer came.
Vondrel decided to use his full speed to ran over and jump over multiple walls, in less than two minutes he has crossed the maze which immediately crumbled behind him, as he took the last leap away.
"Wow, i could have being there and killed" he exclaimed
"Thank me for saving you" the system said
"No you didn't, i saved myself " Vondrel replied
"Yeah we go, he is also ungrateful." The system murmured
'Ding'

(New skill awarded)
>Mystic eye : lv 1
A skill meant to give user the ability to see far more than his eye sight could see and also see the flows of energies.
"Nice skills you got there lad" the kyokai said
"Let's go help my friends " Vondrel said with a look of determination.
'Swoosh'
Vondrel came across multiple beasts, beasts below the mediate tier directly explode with his single punch. He had to learn to control his punches enough to keep the beasts crystals.
He then store them in his separate dimension, beasts at the peak mediate tier were killed by swings of his hands which generates sharp slashes thereby cutting them into halves .
'I have gotten 50 crystals already just in an hour, this is so small' he thought to himself
Suddenly his sharp ears picked noises, he immediately tried to see what was going on, his eyes zoomed in and he could see students all gathered around battling a peak intermediate tier and a newly advance tier beast, his view was a little blurry due to the distance.
"Activate mystic eyes" Vondrel commanded
"When did you learn to command? " the system asked mockingly
"Are you activating it or not?" Vondrel questioned back.
"Really, then wait there" the system said and went silent.
"Snort...if i could activate the kyokai's power without no help from anyone, why shouldn't i be able to activate my very own skill" vondrel smirked
He focused on the energy flowing within him and then channeled it to his eyes, the skill got activated almost immediately.
(Mystic eyes activated)
System....."_"
"Haha....i can't believe you could make the ancient system speechless." the blade laughed.
Vondrel felt a surge of power ripple through him as he activated his Mystic Eyes ability. His vision sharpened instantly, and a faint tingling spread from the center of his forehead, igniting a powerful energy deep within. His eyes began to glow, a radiant mix of white and gold illuminating both irises, casting a soft yet intense light across his face. The sensation was both exhilarating and overwhelming, like tapping into a reservoir of untamed power he had barely scratched the surface of before.
As his Mystic Eyes activated fully, his vision zoomed in on the distant battlefield with incredible clarity. Where moments before there had been indistinct figures locked in combat, he could now see every detail as if they were right in front of him. The fighting figures came into sharp focus, their forms crisp and clear. He could make out their suits and armors, their weapons, and even the expressions of strain and determination etched across their faces.
More strikingly, the scene unfolded before him with vivid precision, each movement slowed down by his enhanced sight. Vondrel now knew exactly who they were and the deadly beasts they faced.
"Isn't that the tentacled beast that almost caused my death? And the other one is a huge tortoise with multiple legs " Vondrel said out loud.
"You actually died you know, i saved that life of yours" the system said mockingly.
Vondrel ignored it...
"Time for pay back " He dashed forward with speed.
'Swoosh'
He dashed forward with extreme speed and closed the distance. Not stopping for a moment, he speed past the fighting students and took one that was holding a storage device and ran to the other side of the skirmish.
When he stopped to take a look at the student he took. He could see panick stricken all over his face, his chest hammering as if about to burst open.
"I'm not an enemy, i need one spare of your uniform if you have any please" Vondrel pleaded to the student he kidnapped.
"Cough Cough.....who are you and how did you get me away from the others? " the guy questioned.
"Look, i have no time for explanations now, i need to save my friends " Vondrel stated
" Hmm" the guy muttered.
...
Everyone were busy hunting beasts until they all met in a vast land, the students were all surprised at how they were able to meet up.
Few of them were able to deduce that it was planned, they all waited wondering what to do next, because they meeting up means they have already cleared up the first stage of beasts, and they were told that they could come across the ruler of the beasts in any stage of the adventure.
Some were even planning to steal from the others, while some were preparing to head on their way, but suddenly the ground shook and they were all attacked by beasts on all sides, beasts ranging from the ranker tier up to the mediate tier, the beasts were led by the peak intermediate tentacled beast and a newly advance tier multiple legged tortoise.
The gifted were all focused on the multiple legged tortoise while the rest were attacking both the tentacled beast and the other low level beast around, it was a tough battle.
"Why didn't they tell us that there will be an advance tier beast here?" one of the gifted asked with frustration because all their attacks were futile.
"Are they planning to kill us? " another joined in.
"Those bastard will be taught a lesson when this gets to my father" a female gifted cursed
...
"Why humming, are you giving me or not? " Vondrel asked with a tinge of impatience evident in his voice.
"How are you even going to help, you look horrible " the student complained
"Besides, what if I decide not to give you??" The boy questioned as he eyed Vondrel up.
"How about i give you five ranker crystals, isn't that a fare trade? " Vondrel inquired
"Really, make it four ranker tier crystals and one mediate tier, that or nothing " the student responded.
"Here take it" five glittering crystals appeared from thin air unto Vondrel's hand
"Where did that come from?"the guy said
"You can knock him out and i'll hack his storage device for you to access " the system said
'Really' Vondrel was confounded
"Yeah i can do more, that would save you all the stress of having to explain yourself. Don't you ever think of underestimating my powers " the system said proudly
"Great idea, but i'm not a robber nor a bully " Vondrel responded.
"Then how do you explain how you were able to manifest beasts crystals from thin air." The system asked
'Sigh'
Seeing his hesitancy, the guy sighed and handed over an oversized uniform to Vondrel who immediately wore it, without minding the size.
"It's time" Vondrel muttered and stared into the distance.
(Quest received)
"What? A quest, why am i giving one?" Vondrel asked confused.
"Quest will be issued for you to grow stronger when completed." the system answered
"OH " he muttered
"Didn't you say you want to save your friends, why are you now standing there staring into thin air, are you changing your mind already? " the guy questioned mockingly.
Vondrel ignored him and focused on the quest in his sight.
' Is he even hearing me at all?? ' the boy thought
(A newly advance tier and a peak intermediate tier beast located)
(Defeat the beasts)
'What, how am i meant to defeat an advance tier beast, that's not possible and what is one doing here of all places, weren't we told that the strongest beast on this side of the planet is the peak intermediate tier, how come there is a shift in power. ' Vondrel thought with a look of horror.
(Quest failure : all host stats will be halved permanently)
"Just tell me you wanna kill me, you this murderer of a system!!!" another round of curse was being hurled at the system which stayed quiet.
"Lad, get yourself together and complete the quest, it's for your own good, moreover there are other students there to help you" the kyokai's soothing voice sounded in his head.
"Okay let's do this then, no other option " Vondrel muttered.
"Hey, why are you ig...." the boy was saying when suddenly he was carried easily and now back to where he was take a from.
'Splitz'
Something dashed around the battle field with extreme speed making everything that cross it's path to be cut in half, the speed was so fast that white and gold line were left behind, even the speedsters were astonished at such inhumane speed.
In less than a second all the remaining beasts below the peak intermediate tier beast were all killed, leaving the peak intermediate tier beast and the advance tier beast.
'What the hell?'
'How is this possible?'
'Who is that?'
Were the thoughts running in everyone's mind. As the perpetrator stood and revealed himself, all eyes were now on him and the battle ground remained silent.
"He looks familiar " Rina muttered
"Are you guys having the same feeling?" Noah asked his brothers.
"Yeah "
"Sure"
"Is that really him?"
"Is he alive ?"
" It can't be right??"
They all voiced out their thoughts, the people close by were confused at what they were saying.
'Roar!!!'
A loud roaring sound was heard jolting everyone's attention, and they could see the intermediate beast glaring at the figure.
"Yeah you remembered me, i'm back to pay you back what you did" Vondrel was able to understand the meaning behind the roar likewise the other hybrids and tribrids around.
The beast stared back at him, remembering the fear it felt from the boiling blood. After not sensing the same fear, it growled at him.
The battlefield was quiet, but the air was thick with tension. Vondrel stood alone, his swords gleaming in the dim light as he faced the monstrous peak intermediate tentacled beast. Its grotesque body writhed and undulated, dozens of thick, sinewy tentacles coiling and uncoiling like snakes ready to strike. Each tentacle was covered in sharp barbs, capable of ripping through steel with ease. The beast let out a guttural roar, its many eyes glowing with malice as it sized up its prey.
Vondrel tightened his grip on his blades, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed the creature's movements. This was no ordinary opponent—it was fast, agile, and deadly. But Vondrel wasn't about to let this abomination best him. He knew the key to defeating the beast lay in its speed. If he could stay one step ahead of the tentacles, he could find an opening to strike.
With a sudden screech, the tentacled beast lunged forward, its tentacles whipping through the air with terrifying speed. Vondrel barely had time to react. He ducked and rolled, narrowly avoiding the first barrage of attacks. The tentacles slammed into the ground where he had been standing moments before, sending debris flying in all directions. But Vondrel was already on his feet, his body moving with fluid precision as he dodged and weaved through the chaotic flurry of strikes.
The beast's tentacles moved like blurs, striking from every angle. Vondrel danced around them, his feet light on the ground as he sidestepped each deadly swipe. His movements were controlled, deliberate—he wasn't wasting energy, but instead conserving it, waiting for the right moment to strike back.
One of the tentacles lashed out, aiming for Vondrel's head. He ducked just in time, the barbed appendage whistling past his ear. In a flash, Vondrel pivoted on his heel, his blade slicing upward with lethal precision. The sword cut clean through the tentacle, severing it from the beast's body. A sharp, switzing sound echoed across the battlefield as the tentacle fell to the ground, twitching violently.
The beast roared in pain, but Vondrel wasn't done. He moved quickly, darting forward to close the distance between him and the creature. Another tentacle came at him, but Vondrel deflected it with a quick flick of his wrist, his second sword parrying the attack with ease. He was in control now, his confidence building with every strike.
More tentacles whipped toward him, but Vondrel's swords were a blur, slicing through the air with deadly accuracy. Each swing of his blades cut cleanly through the thick, fleshy appendages, sending pieces of the beast's body scattering across the ground. More switzing sounds filled the air as tentacle after tentacle was severed, the beast losing its offensive power with every passing second.
The creature was growing desperate, its attacks becoming more erratic as it realized it was losing the fight. But Vondrel remained calm, his movements precise and calculated. He knew the beast's weakness now, and he wasn't going to let it escape.
With a final roar of defiance, the tentacled beast reared back, preparing to launch one last, desperate assault. But Vondrel was already moving. He dashed forward, running in a wide arc around the creature, his feet barely touching the ground as he built up speed. In one swift motion, he leaped into the air, his swords held high above his head. Time seemed to slow as Vondrel descended, his body spinning with unfathomable speed.
The tentacled beast tried to move, to defend itself, but it was too late. Vondrel's blades came down in a powerful arc, cutting through the creature's body from head to bottom. The cut was clean, the beast split in two before it could even react. Vondrel landed softly, his swords still humming with energy as the two halves of the tentacled beast collapsed to the ground.
The battle was over.
Blood splattered around but a dome like shape aura with constant spiraling blades block every drop of blood that tried to fall on him, the blades cut every single drop of blood.
He walked close to the beast and picked the crystal, ignoring the attention he had drawn to himself.
"take the beast body with you, it can help to make the guardian beasts body grow. " the system said.
"Hmm" Vondrel did as he was told and both the beast and the crystal disappeared from everyone's view.
He turned his attention to the advance tier beast and the later did the same, they were both inspecting each other, while the students watching left their jaw open, they couldn't believe a student like them was able to kill a peak intermediate tier beast so easily.
They thought the same thing will happen to the advance tier beast until.
"I will need as much help i can get to defeat this one" Vondrel suddenly said.
"Here i thought you will just jump in and defeat the beast like you did the other one " a bulky gifted said.
"Where did the crystal go to and i can't find the crystals of all the beasts you killed!!! " a rough haired vampire shouted
"Hmm, what do you mean you can't find them?" Vondrel asked with a confused look.
"You can come over here to check for yourself" the rough haired vamp respond
"I took them all, it's your kill so the crystals are for you, you can just tell them you might have destroyed them them in your attack earlier, an obvious examples are the beasts that directly explode after making contact with your fist. " the system whispered
"Emm...sorry i guess i might have used a bit much strength when taking out those weak beasts so i destroyed their crystals in the process " Vondrel said awkwardly, not knowing if they bought his lie.
"So much strength for someone so stupid enough not to know when to control it" the same female gifted who cursed the academy said.
More students opened their mouth to voice their complains but a loud hissing sound claimed their attention, reminding them that they are still on the battle field and not on the play ground.
