'Hissss'
The huge legged tortoise hissed. It then faced Vondrel and snarled at him, identifying him as a threat.
"I had no choice but to kill them, that was the main reason we are all here in the first place, and about the tentacled beast well, i just paid it back. Everything that dies in my hand vanish from existence." Vondrel said not knowing he actually growled like a true beast and he was exuding a domineering and predatory aura.
"Is he an hybrid?"
"Did he just grolwed?"
"He might be a tribrid, that explains his inhumane strength "
"Strange"
"Vanishing from existence, what a weird ability "
Were the thoughts running through the students head.
The tortoise seeing Vondrel ignoring him, immediately charged at him. Tortoise are meant to be sluggish but with even the hugeness of the legged tortoise it was still very fast.
'Vooom'
It appeared in Vondrel's front in a curled up form and tried to bash him with its shell.
'Woosh'
Vondrel narrowly avoided the attack and sent his fist forward with speed and force aiming to destroy the tortoise shell in a single strike.
'Bang'
A loud bang resounded and shockwave spread forth from the point of impact, dust was scattered around. The dust cleared and they could see that the fist hit but nothing was done, no crack, no injury, but the force was able to push the tortoise a few feet from Vondrel.
"You need to apply more force to break that " a bulky guy said
"That was a great hit if i may comment, no one has been able to move the beasts an inch not to talk of a few metre" a white haired boy said
"Get out of there block head!!!"
"Get out of there lad!!!" both the system and the blade shouted but it was too late.
'Boom'
A loud explosion resounded and blasted Vondrel a great distance from his previous position.
'Bang '
He collided into a tree and blasting through it, making the tree blast into smirthreens.
'Cough'
Vondrel coughed out blood and stood up before dusting his cloths.
"That really hurt, i thought i could feel a bone cracking at my back, but it has healed up so quick " he voiced out
"Let's get back to duty" he added
"We can't just stand there and do nothing, let's give him an helping hand" Rina voiced out while walking forward, she was ready to help the familiar figure by all means.
"And who might you be to think you can order us around? " One of the gifted questioned rudely.
"She's not ordering us, she's just reminding us that we are meant to take the beast together, not leaving its defeat to a single person " Sam voiced out from the sideline.
He walked forward and stood beside Rina ready to fight by her side.
"Really, when did a weakling get the mind to talk when a gifted is talking?" another gifted asked with a frown.
"Last time i checked, we all have the freedom of speech, so we all have the right to talk regardless of who is who" James said before stepping out too.
"You guys have really grown wings, have you forgotten who we are?" another gifted questioned.
"We don't care about who you are here, because your identity can't protect us or save us from the beast" the boy who Vondrel previously kidnapped voiced out and also joined the crew.
Then more and more students stepped forward, ready to battle the beast in their front together.
The gifted were surprised, but they couldn't say anything, even most of their team members also stepped out.
"Really, that guy just came in here and was able to win your hearts just like that? You guys are truly worthless " the earlier female gifted who was cursing the instructors voiced out angrily.
"When i'm done here, i'll show you guys that orchestrated this a lesson, and you Rina just because you are also a gifted doesn't mean we are all on the same level. " she added while gritting her teeth.
"I guess as for now we are all on the same level" another female gifted voiced out.
"Who the hell countered me?!!!" the earliest girl shouted
The later just ignored her and continued walking forward to join the crew. Then the white haired boy moved forward also which made everyone move except the proud gifteds who thinks highly of themselves.
"I was expecting nothing less from people who doesn't know their left from their right busy calling themselves gifted, i wonder why the world was so cruel to give you guys the powers you have which had gotten into your head and decimated your moral thinking faculty. Such a pity " Vondrel voiced out from the side and shook is head in pity.
Before they could retort he raised his hands up in the air making everything go silent with his powers, a defying aura seeped out of his figure .
The aura spread and covered everyone around him who were ready to battle the beast they all felt an increase in their powers from within, everyone were confounded by the display of power and surprised at what they were feeling.
While some thought his ability was a buff ability, but remembering how he fought earlier made them wonder what his real ability was.
'Ding'
(Host has unlocked an hidden power....)
(Rulers blessing)
(A skill meant to empower those who follows the ruler to achieve a set goal.)
'Hmm, that's nice ' Vondrel thought to himself before dropping his hand in an attack motion.
Everyone on the battle field even those that haven't joined in were all empowered, they all felt a tug in them telling them to attack.
They decided to follow the order and multiple abilities converged on the shell of the tortoise.
'Boom'
A very loud explosion occurred, dust covered every where, when the dust cleared. Everyone stood still and inspected what their attacks had done.
There was a dent on the crack and that was all, while the ground which the beast stood was destroyed.
'Hiss'
The tortoise hissed in pain and prepared to release absorbed massive energy into the environment. Vondrel with his mystic eyes could see the flow of energy as it moved from the beast core straight to the shell, he could see the energy gathering and ready to explode.
Something strange was also happening, Vondrel was seeing a green light on the same place the attack was gathering and a red light in multiple places while also seeing few yellow lights.
"What are these? " He questioned in his head
"That is the power of the mystic eyes, hurry hit the green light with your full force before it discharge that energy. Failure will cause casualties on your side" the system urged.
'Whoosh' 'Bang'
Vondrel speed forward with intensity making were he stood blast apart, he readied his fist as he closed the distance between him and the beast, his hand glowed a white shade, it glowed with intensity.
'BANG'
A loud collision rang out on impact with the shell, the shell shook with intensity and cracks spread from the point of contact.
"That's not enough " the system voiced out
"Everyone aim where ever i hit now!!! " Vondrel shouted across to the students, his voice got to everyone.
"What about you? " the kidnapped boy asked worriedly.
"Just aim don't worry about me" he shouted impatiently.
Everyone immediately aimed at the place where the crack was, multiple abilities rained down on the same point, Vondrel dashed from place to place hitting all the yellow lights and few red light.
Cracks keeps spreading on the places of contact, until a very loud hiss was heard and a groan, making everyone stop their attacks. When everything quiet down, they could see a figure cutting through the air in their direction.
One of the multiple legs of the beast kicked Vondrel away due to it being in a desperate state, they all wore a tired look, though there were many cracks and even some parts of the shell has fallen, it wasn't enough to end the beast life.
When the figure that was kicked back reached their direction, the white haired gifted leaped into the air and held the figure firmly, the force from the speed pushed him back through the air.
His skin immediately whitened and became hairy, his muscles budged, his eyes became white before he was able to stop the both of them from flying backward into the distance.
When he landed he was in his half transformed stage with a white hairs surrounding most part of his body.
"Are you alive? " he asked the figure in his hand.
"Yeah, that was a great catch bro, thanks so much " the figure replied.
Zuuuufffffffff.....
An energy discharge was felt by the duo, Vondrel eyes immediately glowed a white and gold shade.
(Mystic eyes have being activated )
His eyes zoomed on beast that was generating a massive energy from its figure.
(Beasts in its final leg, it's trying to use up it's energy which will power it up and make it stronger, it's entering a rage mode. Kill beast before it waste it's energy in powering itself " a system notification appeared.
"Everyone get out of there right now!!!" the white haired guy shouted, his voice generated a small soundwave that carried his words to the ears of the other students.
Immediately everyone began to run backward with full force hitting themselves, the speed sters among them were the onye on the lead.
"I didn't want to use you in this battle, but i guess i have no choice for the sake of everyone here," Vondrel muttered with a sigh.
The white haired guy squinted his eyes not being able to understand the meaning of his words. Then...
'Zing'
Vondrel's aura changed and a very sharp aura seeped out of him, his kyokai appeared on his hands and it was radiating with extreme sharpness that the white haired guy had to step back when small cuts were appearing on his half transformed skin.
' he's going all out ugh.' the white haired guy thought
'Whoosh '
Vondrel dashed into the distance with speed, a trail of white and gold followed him from behind, the places he passed looked as if a large sword has cut through the place.
His figure cut through the hair, he leaped into the air so has to avoid hurting the incoming students, his speed not only generate dust, it also generate mini slashes.
He kicked the air with force that an explosion rang out and propelled him straight at the beast, he descended from the air with his blades joined together.
A loud clanging sound resounded, followed by a loud boom. Vondrel was pushed back again.
Vondrel stood at the edge of the battlefield, his eyes narrowing as he gazed upon the giant tortoise looming ahead. The creature was massive, its multiple legs thick as ancient trees, and its shell—a smooth, gleaming surface that looked both impenetrable and deadly, though cracked at multiple places.
Its hide was a deep, earthy brown, but the smooth, sturdy shell that covered its back gleamed under the sunlight, a fortress of natural armor. Every step the beast took sent tremors through the ground, shaking the earth beneath Vondrel's feet. The two of them stared at each other with murderous gazes.
In his hand, Vondrel's Kyokai pulsed with energy, responding to the adrenaline coursing through him. The sword was more than just a weapon—it was an extension of his being, its blade humming with an ethereal light. Vondrel knew that this was no ordinary beast, and defeating it would require more than brute force. He would need precision, speed, and a clear mind.
The tortoise turned its enormous head toward him, its black, intelligent eyes locking onto his figure. It let out a low, rumbling growl, its mouth opening to reveal rows of jagged teeth. Though slow in appearance, the creature was deceptively fast, moving with a grace that belied its enormous size.
Without warning, the tortoise lunged forward, its multiple legs digging into the earth as it charged. The ground quaked with each step, and Vondrel barely had time to leap out of the way as one of its massive feet slammed down where he had been standing just moments before. The impact sent dirt and debris flying, and the force of the blow rattled Vondrel to his core.
He rolled to his feet, Kyokai gleaming in his hand, and immediately dashed toward the creature's side. He knew he couldn't face it head-on—not with that shell protecting its back and sides. His only hope was to strike at its legs, where the armor was thinner. As he moved, his Mystic Eyes activated, glowing with a brilliant white and gold light. The world around him slowed, and every detail became sharp and clear.
With a burst of speed, Vondrel closed the distance between himself and the tortoise. He swung his Kyokai in a precise arc, aiming for the joint of one of its front legs. The blade sliced through the air with deadly precision, striking the exposed flesh. But as the sword met the creature's skin, a shower of sparks erupted. The tortoise's hide had become tougher than he had anticipated.
The beast let out a deafening roar, pulling its leg back in pain, but the wound was shallow. It turned with surprising agility, its massive head whipping around as it lashed out with one of its front legs, claws extended. Vondrel barely had time to react, raising his Kyokai to block the blow. The impact sent him skidding backward, his feet digging into the dirt as he struggled to maintain his footing.
The tortoise advanced, pressing its advantage. It swung its head low, attempting to crush Vondrel beneath its weight, but he was already moving. He leapt into the air, twisting his body as the creature's head slammed into the ground. As he landed behind the tortoise, Vondrel struck again, this time aiming for the creature's back leg.
His Kyokai connected with the joint, and this time, the blade sank deeper, cutting through flesh and muscle. Blood spurted from the wound, and the tortoise let out another enraged roar, its massive body shifting as it tried to turn and face him. But Vondrel was faster, darting away before it could retaliate.
For all its size, the tortoise was relentless. It stomped its feet into the ground, shaking the earth as it advanced. Vondrel could feel the tremors beneath his feet, but he remained calm, his Mystic Eyes analyzing every movement the beast made. He could see it now—the slight hesitation before each strike, the way its massive body shifted to compensate for its weight.
The tortoise lunged again, this time spinning in a wide arc with its tail sweeping the ground in a deadly motion. Vondrel jumped into the air just as the tail passed beneath him, barely avoiding the crushing blow. He landed on the creature's back, gripping the smooth shell with one hand while raising his Kyokai with the other.
He knew that the shell was nearly impenetrable, but there were weak points—small gaps where the plates of armor met. Vondrel drove his blade downward with all his strength, aiming for one of these vulnerable spots. The Kyokai pierced the shell, sinking deep into the creature's flesh beneath.
The tortoise bellowed in pain, its entire body shuddering. It bucked wildly, trying to shake Vondrel off, but he held firm, his grip unwavering. With a final, powerful twist, he pulled the Kyokai free, leaping off the tortoise's back just as it reared up on its hind legs. The ground quaked beneath the weight of the beast as it slammed back down, cracks spreading through the earth like spiderwebs.
The battle dragged on between then as they both exchanged blows. Vondrel already suffering internal damage from being constantly hit and sent flying. Blood trickled down the side of his mouth. The others couldn't keep up as they both moved and thrashed around wildly. The two emersed in killing each other.
Vondrel stood panting, his chest heaving as he stared down the massive beast before him. The giant, multi-legged tortoise, wounded and enraged, let out a low, guttural growl that shook the very earth beneath them. Its smooth, sturdy shell gleamed in the faint light, unmarred by Vondrel's earlier strikes, but its legs and underbelly bore the scars of the battle. Blood dripped from the deep cuts he had inflicted, yet the tortoise refused to fall, its dark eyes glaring at him with a primal, furious intelligence.
Vondrel knew that this creature was unlike any other opponent he had faced. Its size and strength were formidable, but it was the tortoise's resilience that made it truly dangerous. Each time he attacked, the beast had countered with brutal force, and every strike seemed to anger it further. Vondrel's body ached from dodging its relentless onslaught, and his muscles burned with exhaustion, but he couldn't afford to falter now.
The tortoise lunged again, faster than he expected for something so large. Its massive, clawed leg swung toward him in a wide arc, aiming to crush him beneath its weight. Vondrel's Mystic Eyes flared, glowing with the familiar white and gold light as the world around him slowed. His body reacted instinctively, leaping to the side just as the tortoise's leg smashed into the ground, sending dirt and debris flying into the air.
He landed lightly on his feet, already moving again. He couldn't allow the beast to recover. This was his moment to strike. Vondrel tightened his grip on his Kyokai, feeling the hum of energy that coursed through the blade.
The weapon was an extension of him, responding to his every thought, his every move. His eyes locked onto the tortoise's vulnerable spot—the joint between its neck and shell. It was a narrow target, but it was his only chance.
With a burst of speed, Vondrel darted toward the creature, dodging another sweeping attack from its massive claws. He slid beneath its body, his Kyokai glowing with power as he struck upward. The blade cut deep into the soft flesh of the tortoise's underbelly, and the beast let out a deafening roar of pain. Blood poured from the wound, staining the ground beneath them.
The tortoise staggered, its massive legs shaking as it struggled to stay upright. Vondrel didn't let up. He jumped onto its back, climbing swiftly to its neck, where he could deliver the final blow. The creature bucked wildly, trying to throw him off, but Vondrel held firm. His mind was focused, his Mystic Eyes analyzing every movement, every weakness.
Standing atop the tortoise, Vondrel raised his Kyokai high, its blade gleaming with an ethereal light. The radiant energy of his Mystic Eyes intensified, bathing him in a brilliant aura of white and gold. He could feel the power surging through him, the strength to end the battle once and for all.
His figure surrounded with bright white and gold light, his blades raised high, descended downward, his Kyokai aimed at the heart of the beast. With one final, decisive strike, the blade pierced the tortoise's thick shell, sinking deep into its core. The creature let out a final, agonized roar, its massive body convulsing before falling still.
Vondrel stood atop the fallen beast, his breath steadying as the light around him slowly faded. The battle was over. Victory was his.
Everything became silent afterward, the beast fell down dead. Vondrel proceeded to wreck havoc in it's insider, leaving it's crystal in the open. He then stepped close and took the crystal in his hands, a weak energy radiating around it.
"It has used up a lot of its energy, such a waste " the system voiced out.
"The crystal might be a waste but the body isn't especially the shell, so keep it now " the kyokai said
"Yeah i'll keep this then" Vondrel muttered before making the beast disappear into thin air.
"Are you taking that too? " a female student asked while her legs could be seen shaking slightly.
"If it was splitty, i would have splitted it to every group here but it can't, so one group have to take it " Vondrel responded as he turned to face them.
His face unrecognizable as his hairs covered his dirty ans blood stained face.
"Just hand it over to my group, i'll pay you back with a good price when we get back " the rude gifted girl voiced out .
Vondrel ignored her and moved his head around as if searching for something.
"What is he doing?" they couldn't see his face due to his long now dirty hair covering his face and sticky.
"Got yah, here have it" Vondrel walked through the crowd and gave the crystal to a feeble boy.
All eyes stared at the boy wondering why the crystal was being giving to him and not someone else.
Vondrel paid no attention to them as he stood facing the boy while trying to control his breathe.
