My work was completed in a week. However, as I continued development of the gene-virus. I felt a disturbance in the Force that kept growing stronger. Not a warning against what I was doing, but a warning about an incoming threat.
I had no idea what the threat could possibly be though. Shadda-Bi-Boran has no extremely powerful predators. It isn't coveted by anyone. No one has anything to gain from a peaceful, isolated civilization like Shadda-Bi-Boran. I can't imagine what the threat could possibly be.
"Enemy..."
"Of old..."
I hear these quiet whispers from my ghostly masters. I can't strengthen the connection to them though.
"I'm being blocked?", I murmur.
I am being isolated from any sort of Force communication. My aura within the Living Force is also being suppressed.
I am perplexed about this situation. I am unaware of any dangers to this planet. There are no Sith, no cults, or monsters that would have any interest in this world. For once, I have no clue what's going on.
As for the hints I heard. There are countless old enemies, known and unknown. All that tells me is that it is a singular entity that will be a pain in my ass.
After I started mass production of the airborne virus to hand out to the elder for distribution. I felt the danger get much stronger, like it was breathing down my back.
Days passed and the feeling of danger never subsided.
Until one day, I felt my connection to the Force be completely cut off as I walking the capital city streets. Before I could ponder the disconnect, I got hit with great force in my side. The blow made me go through three buildings before rolling onto another street.
I get up with a groan, "Who decided to fly a freighter an inch from the ground?"
I look at where I was hit from and see an odd figure appearing from the building dust. It walked like an ape and looked like its features were partially melted. They were also asymmetric and abominable. Limbs of differing sizes.
I realized what I was fighting, "A Nameless? How did you even get on this planet? Your kind are supposed to be extinct!?"
It roared and charged me. It's oversized right arm attempted to punch me again. I caught the hand with my left hand with a bit of unease. My mechanical and physical strength is still legendary without the Force empowering me.
My right shoulder cannon unfurls and blasts the monster in the chest, sending it flying away. It gets back up with a growl, the chest only a bit singed. My HUD AI quickly scans for weak points on the off body. As the chest is obviously tougher than the side of a heavy tank.
The weak points are the right side of the neck, beneath the left foot, the palm of the oversized fist, base of the spine, inner right thigh, and the "nose". Weird weak points that make conventional sense. Although, I am fighting a blue, melty, ugly, monster whose main diet is the Living Force.
"Let's see who is the better hunter you blue cheese looking, mutated smurf. "
I run at the beast, take out my combi-stick. I dodge the fist as we run into each other and jam the sharp end into his nose. Black blood spurts out and it is stunned. I do a booster-assisted shoulder charge to knock it over. I use my wrist blades to pierce the underside of the left foot, I leave the blades inside. The monster tries to use its oversized hand to take out the comb-stick. The other arm is practically useless with its deformities. I quickly use a shock mine to paralyze the monster. I over the fallen body to where I can see the bomb and precisely throw a power disk into it. It cuts into the palm and then enters the forearm, burrowing inside. It gets up shakily in rage.
I take my Destined Death and activate its black blades of light. With a distant wail, I strike the inner right thigh and slide around to the back of the monster. I then jam my light-glaive into the base of the curved spine. I twist for good measure.
The then a few steps back as the Nameless wobbles. It finally falls over, deceased.
I feel myself reconnect to the Force no that it is dead. The beast is normally formidable to Force users, but not an experienced Yautja. Most definitely not me.
I clack my mandibles, "Now to find out how it got to this world.
