Chereads / Predator of Star Wars: Hunt (Current) / Chapter 86 - Yavin IV Hunt

Chapter 86 - Yavin IV Hunt

I find myself in the orbit of Yavin IV.

There is a species of creature here, most unnatural. Which makes them good prey. They are large, powerful, and mutate often compared to normal lifeforms.

I have come to find a mutated one. As the normal creatures of this species are docile when encountering Force-sensitives that have mastery over the Dark Side. I am looking for one that would not fear.

I have already pinpointed a region of the moon with the largest amount of them. All that was left was to descend to the surface.

I stood at the edge of the scout ship's side door. Another step would have me in space.

"I hope your creations do not disappoint me, Exar Kun.", then I took the step out.

I floated to the atmosphere, then began my free fall. I was falling through the clouds into a large mountain range. As these creatures kept to their caves. I started to get close to the mountain tops.

I had steered myself to fall upon the top of the tallest mountain. This time, I did not do an Iron Man landing. I landed on two feet and pent my knees a tad for the impact.

Looking around, the landscape was a wonderful sight.

"Time to wake up the lizards.", I say to myself.

Then I draw in a great breath, and roar out into the mountain range in challenge. I infused a wisp of the Dark Side to amplify the sound and instill meaning into it.

This way, the cowards would stay in their caves while the worthy would come out to fight me.

I waited for about 2 minutes, as I heard grumbling and low screeches. Until I finally heard a mighty roar of defiance that I was waiting for.

A deep roar that resounded across the whole mountain range.

Then from one of the mountains. A head of black scales poked out from a great cave. Then another head, followed by three more heads of black scales and red eyes.

I laugh with anticipation, "A 5-headed black-scaled Battle Hydra."

Its 5 pairs of eyes locked onto to me on the mountain peak. It hissed before unfurling its black wings and taking to the sky after me. I was not going to be passive. My armor had flight thrusters on the back. I took the the air in kind.

It would start as an aerial battle.

As I got closer, it's sheer size was truly recognized. It is as big as an Alderaanian Corvette.

Once I got into fighting range, it's five heads all snapped at me. I evaded four of them and uppercutted the fifth with my fist.

It brought around a claw and smacked me to the side. I was not fazed and went back on the attack. With two fist in front of me, I rammed into its chest like Superman. My strength blasted it away a few meters and it growled in anger.

It flew at me with its open maws. This time it was smarter about its attack. As between the snapping jaws were its long claws. One of its heads got a bite on my left arm and tried to me for the others to strike. A bit of lightning from my fingertips made it let go. Then I flew around the other 4 incoming heads why attaching net charges to them.

Which are little devices that deploy a net when activated. As they activated nearly immediately, nets came out and restricting the jaws from opening beyond showing a little teeth. I then pulled out a combi-stick and chucked it into the beast's chest. Using it as a conducting rod, I channeled lightning through it to attack the Hydra.

It let out a muffled roar of pain. Then it did something unexpected. It's throated glowed a sickly red, before fire came from its mouths. The nets were burned off and it pulled out the combi-stick. Suddenly, 5 fireballs were launched at me. I dodged 3, but 2 hit me. I went a few clouds before regaining flight control. I took a look at my armor and noticed the surface was glowing red.

I realize and mumble, "Force Fire...an extraordinary beast."

I then take off Destined Death from my back and ignite it. Bursting through the clouds, the Hydra spits more fireballs at me. I swing my light-glaive and tear them all apart. As the Hydra gets closer, it switches to breathing out fire. I fly to avoid, but I still put up a Force Shield to block what I can't evade. Five heads means five streams of fire, and that is a crazy amount of fire.

I make a move, and with my left hand in front to shield me from the flames I charge at the Hydra. I get close and with a roar of my own I thrust my glaive in front of me and ram into its midsection. I then run up its chest while my glaive head is imbedded, and slice through its flesh to its necks. All the while it keeps breathing fire on me.

Once I reach the necks, I take it out and swing to cut them off. As I am so close to the source of the fire, I cannot maintain my shield any longer and it breaks. Now my armor is taking the full brunt. I quickly cut off the heads. 1st slash takes 2 heads, 2nd slash takes two heads and the 3rd slash takes the final head.

Finally, the body falls.

I hover in the air as I watch the dead Hydra fall from the sky. Once the body lands, my break is over, and I fly down to retrieve the body and the heads.

I collect the heads first then got o the body. I shoo away the small critters and behold my defeated prey.

"A Battle Hydra mutant that can use Force Fire. Exar Kun did make your species well. At least well enough to be interesting. I can get some enhancements out of you too.", I say to myself.

As I did notice that the wound from the combi-stick closed up and healed before the end of the battle. Which is why I had to do a lot of damage in a short time. As the Hydra had a healing factor.

I chuckle, "At least you are not on par with a mythical hydra. I would've had to retreat if that was the case."

I got the Hydra on my scout ship and then went to the medical bay of the ship. I took off my armor to reveal some 2nd degree burns in some places. I did get burned through the armor from the large amounts of Force Fire. I would have to remake the armor too. As the Beskar and Cortosis alloy had lost structural integrity from the flames.

I apply some burn cream and go to the captain's chair. I sit down and exhale with a clatter of my mandibles, "A fine hunt to end off the year. I look forward to 41 BBY."
