Chapter 87 - A Pitiful Fate

[41 BBY]

As I was waiting for the New Apsolon incident to happen on Mykyr. By training in my training room with androids. I was pulled into a dark space.

"Hello again Predator. Been a while...", I hear.

"Will of the Force. I actually have some doubts about that title since the last time we met.". I say.

The Will appears in some random human appearance, "Well, it is to be expected. The Force is non-sentient, yet sentient at the same time. The details can be convoluted and even meaningless."

I state, "You are not the Will of the Force. You used to be somebody. Probably someone powerful, now enslaved to serve. A Dark Sider perhaps?"

He chuckles, "You are one smart alien Bido. You would have never heard of me though."

"Try me...", I say.

He smirks, "I was known as Shinnok. I ended up in this galaxy after an embarrassing defeat. I tried to take the Force for my own. Blinded by overconfidence, I was defeated and enslaved. I was made apart of the Force, a subservient will. That can interact in more direct ways on its behalf when necessary."

I scoff, "To think that this pathetic fate would be after the end of your story. You are pitiful. Unsurprising you lost against the Force though. It encompasses all things. I imagine that you never did."

Shinnok frowns, "Indeed. I did not bring you here to talk about me though. There is another task."

"Tell me...", I say with a lack of energy.

"My amulet has made its way to this universe, and galaxy. You are to find it, and destroy it. It...offends the Force. It will have a guardian as it took refuge in an old temple buried underground on Ryloth.", he explains.

I question, "What sort of temple? What sort of guardian?"

He answers, "A temple from the Infinite Empire, Rakatan. Never discovered and never before disturbed. The guardian is most likely a native that was lured there. The native will have some powers bestowed upon them by the amulet. It should not be a problem for you though."

"What do I get out of this?", I ask coldly.

He narrows his eyes, "You will get...a guarantee that the first three generations of your bloodline will flourish, live, and reproduce gloriously. The safety of any women/men bound to you or your fruits through marriage will have the same protection. At least, as long as they don't encounter things or creatures beyond the influence of the Force. Then, it can only do so much. This serves your goals amazingly, does it not?"

I was surprised. My primary goal has always to establish my species here. It was why I took Arla and Furia as my wives. Why I seek power, and hunt. Everything else was merely for amusement.

I click my mandibles, "(click click clack) You got yourself a deal."

It was a good deal, as my bloodline will be secure for three generations. More than enough time for me to do what I need to do.

"Very good then Bido. I'll put you back now. The Force awaits your triumph.", he says before walking away.

The dark space is gone and I am back in my training room. It hasn't even been a second. Time must stopped. Or I was pulled out of time then put back in the same place in time. Doesn't matter at the moment though.

What matters, is that I am about to get my family some plot armor.

I go to get my equipment, "I've never hunted an amulet before. This will be a first..."

[89]Amulet

[41 BBY]

Ryloth is unique planet. Visited by many species, civilizations and empires.

I landed my scout ship near a cave entrance. This is where I was guided.

I walked out of the ship and into the cave. It was obvious I was supposed to go in. The cave was normal. Unless you take into account the lack of any wildlife. Not even insects or plants. This was not a good sign.

The cave descent leveled off and I walked into a grand underground space. With a lit up old temple in the middle.

"Definitely Rakatan...", I mutter.

I take only a few steps into the area when the temple pulses. Then droids start to pour out of opened doors. Old battle droids from tens of thousands years ago. All still in pristine shape.

I count about 500 or so droids. All fully armed and equipped. Which would be intimidating. If not for that fact that their weapons are severely outdated. Modern Durasteel armor could tank multiple grenades in close proximity. The old blasters are too low power to have much of an effect on modern armor too. Let alone my full body armor of Beskar-Cortosis armor.

They start firing at me as I didn't bother to cloak myself. I don't even dodge. The blaster bolts are either deflected or fizzle out harmlessly on hit.

I scoff, "Outdated trash. Be destroyed like the era you came from."

I use Force Crush on the droids, crushing their torsos into a ball. The droids all have massive system failures and fall on the ground as hunks of junk.

I navigate past the dead metal bodies and go into the temple.

"Mmm, this temple was not military focused. Surprisingly enough.", I comment.

I take out two palm-sized ball drones and activate them. They float out of my hand and split up down the corridors. They'll scan the interior of the temple and make a map for me. After a minute, I stop getting map data. None of them return as they were destroyed around the center of the temple. Which is probably where the guardian(s) is. Along with the amulet.

I start a light jog to the center. Which was uninterrupted.

I made it to the center, where I was shocked. It was small, but I could see what it was.

"There is an Infinity Gate in a Rakatan Temple?", I then take a look around. I realize what the Rakata did. This used to be a Kwa temple. The Rakata tore mostly everything down except the Infinity Gate. Then rebuilt it as one of their temples. They were researching the gate.

Then I notice a figure reveal themselves. A Twi'lek, male adult, yellow skin.

He snarls at me, "Leave at once intruder!"

I growl back, "The Guardian of the Amulet I assume? Come and make me."

He roars and conjures skeletal hands from behind himself. Then the hands come over and try to grab me. The ability was not pulling any power from the Force. It was real...magic.

I Force Speed out of the way and rush the Twi'lek. Best way to deal with a caster is to rip their head off after all.

However, I did not expect the Twi'lek to dodge my wristblade. Then jump swing kick the side of my helmet. It didn't do much, but it was unexpected. The Twi'lek is thin and looks malnourished. He should not have the strength nor speed.

The Twi'lek then takes an unknown...martial arts stance. A greenish purple energy covering his feet and legs.

I laugh, "I'll play..."

I raise my fists and attack. I start with some heavyweight boxing. It works well. He can't get past my guard and needs to dodge every hit. Which he does successfully until I switch it up and do a flying knee to the chin suddenly.

Teeth are knocked out as he is sent flying a few meters. He gets up, still alive and full of energy.

I taunt, "That skill is not your own. You can't use it effectively."

This time he jumps high into the air trying to do an axe kick on me. Crossing the distance, he is actually really high.

I sigh, "Stupid...".

My right shoulder plasma cannon comes online and shoots a shot at him. Since he is in midair, he can't dodge. He gets blown apart into seared meaty flesh bits.

I ignore the mess and go straight to the center where the gate is. The amulet is resting on a pedestal by the gate. I take out Destined Death to destroy it. Then I have a thought.

The amulet is near an Infinity Gate. A space breaking transportation device. If I destroy the amulet here, what would happen?

Then I think back to Shinnok. I never said it, but I know of him. Given his personality. It is likely this is a trick.

I put my glaive away.

"I know a sure way to deal with this amulet.", I say to myself.

I take the amulet and go back to my scout ship. I put the Amulet inside, then set the ship for a course beyond the galaxy. I'll put the Quantum drive to overcharge. Which will make the ship's reactor destabilize and meltdown. Resulting in a grand explosion that will destroy the amulet. I even set all the extra gauntlets to explode too.

I exit the ship, lock it down with the amulet stored inside. Then I have set off on its course. It'll take about 30 minutes for it to leave the galaxy on overdrive.

I am pulled into a dark space as the ship leaves my sight.

I see an angry Shinnok.

"Why!?", he roars.

I shake my head, "You almost had me tricked Shinnok. I saw through the bullshit at the last moment though. You were trying to untangle yourself from the Force, weren't you? Try and make a break in the Cosmic Force big enough allow for some entanglement. Using an Infinity Gate at that, clever. Then absorb the released energy from your amulet to boost your separation. Tricky man you are."

He grits his teeth, "Had I succeeded, I could have given you the galaxy and much more! You just had one easy job!"

I laugh, "Ya, well. When you do shit you eat shit. I chose my side already. I am with the Force. At least it is honest."

His face twisted, "You stupid, ugly motherfucker!"

He then tries to attack me, but finds himself freezing up. He tries to move, but he can only shake a bit in vain.

Then I feel three strong Force presences behind me.

I turned around and couldn't help but sigh deeply, "The Ones.."
