At first, I thought about just going back to Myrkr. I've changed my mind. I need a nice hunt to wind down.
I think I'll go to Cholganna. It is the homeworld of the Nexu. The feline creature the tried to eat Padme when she was tied to a pole in Episode II. It should make for a fine prey. It is fast, has good instincts, and is viciously aggressive.
Should be fun
I enter in a new navigation into the mothership and redirect out course to Cholganna. It is located in the outer rim, so it's a little ways off, but who cares. It'll only take a handful of hours to reach.
Arriving at Cholganna, it was wasn't too different in climate than Myrkr. It was covered in jungles and forest. It had some oceans too.
Nexu were found everywhere on the planet, so I didn't bother to scan for them. I just landed on the biggest continent in a scout ship. I was going to take my time and hunt the classic way.
Walking on the planet, I chose a random direction and started walking. I used my bio-helmet to track for heat signatures as I walked.
After walking for some time, I started to see scratch marks on some trees. I even found a pile of feces, also known a shit. This means that a Nexu has this area as part of its territory.
I should find an Arboreal Octopi to use as bait. A species of octopus that reside in the treetops rather than water. The octopus is plentiful, so it didn't take long to grab one. It was decently large, but no problem to me. I killed it, and spread its blood around.
I then left the corpse on the ground. I perched up in a tree and cloaked. The bait is set. This is a simple strategy, but an effective and time-tested one.
After 50 minutes of waiting in a tree, a Nexu finally approached. It wasn't only one though. It was a group of 4 that came. Once they approached the corpse, the 4 started to "argue" about who will take it.
I took it as a chance and activated my light glaive, Destined Death. I jumped down and plunged one end into the head of a Nexu. The other 3 immediately noticed me of course and attacked.
The 1st one pounced on me. I launched into a low dodge right underneath the pounce. I had let my blade run underneath it. So once we passed each other, the guts of the Nexu fell out. Then it fell over in death heaves.
The 2nd and 3rd were more cautious now. They began to circle me. I was calm and ready. A less experienced Yautja would wait for them to make the first move, then react. However, I will make them act according to my will. I feinted going after one of them, to egg the other one to attack my back. Nexu are powerful, but simple creatures. The other Nexu fell for my tactic and attacked my back.
I was already read and swiftly turned. I was attacked by a claw only. The Nexu was still being cautious while attacking. It only used a claw strike rather than a risky bite. I swiped my glaive and cut off its front right claw at the wrist. It rolled past me.
The other Nexu commenced an attack right after. It leapt forward and opted to attack with its whip-like tail. I reached out my hand and caught the tail. Then I used my raw physical and armor enhanced strength to drag the Nexu closer. I cut its legs, to cripple it.
As I said before, Nexu are violently aggressive. So even though the previous Nexu was missing a claw, it still attacked me with great energy. I had to let go of the tail to dodge the wild bite attack. It tried to follow up with another bite, but I was positioned well near its neck already. I did a simple cut and the neck was cut halfway in. The Nexu flopped over with its neck open and a dangling head.
The other Nexu was still resistant. Without legs, it still tried to drag itself over to me in order to kill me. Such a violent fervor is respectable. I did a quick advance towards it and pierced its head with a thrust.
I hunted 4 Nexu with little difficulty without the Force. It was nice to do so. I love using the Force, but just going old school is nice too. I feel much better after this hunt.
I call down my scout ship and put the bodies in it. I then go back to the mothership with my prey. I had some androids take the bodies to the genealogy labs. I take their useful genes to add to my hellhounds. I've had them run around on Myrkr wildly rather than keeping them cooped up. I want to take them to hunt some stronger prey soon.
Sitting back in my captain seat, I set a course back to Myrkr for real this time.
