Chapter 37 - Arla Fett Found

Going to Mandalore was a short trip. The planet was not too far away from Concord Dawn.

The Mandalore city the base was in, is the capital city of the planet, Sundari. Death Watch is right under the government's noses.

I entered the dome city at night through an empty dock. Mandalorian port authorities are not the most thorough people at there job. There were barely any port officers. I didn't even have to cloak, but I still cloaked because there were a few cameras.

The city was quiet during the night. The few people around were in their gray clothing. What a dreary sense of fashion.

The Death Watch base is underneath a clothing distribution warehouse. A smart choice. Not a lot of inspections and regulations on clothing, in comparison to food, mechanical or electronic products. A good place to be inconspicuous.

I was in no rush, so I don't go full speed to the warehouse. I jog over to it as I take in Sundari. Despite the dreary color scheme, it was a good looking city. It was also very well designed with all the skywalks around.

Arriving at the warehouse, there were no Death Watch guards out in the open. Using infrared, I spotted three Death Watch lookouts perched around. The on ground guards, were just some human males in a typical gray guard uniform, tow of them.

I'll start with the three Death Watch lookouts. The three are perched on crevices in the surrounding buildings. A simple way to get rid of them, is the shuriken. So, I took out three shuriken, and threw them. The shuriken themselves are designed to be fast and silent, so they're perfect to use. 2 seconds later, they are all dead in their building crevices.

The two ground guards were easy pickings. They weren't even in each other's sights. A take out a combi-stick, and throw it at one of them. It impales the guy, and I Force Grab to recall my combi-stick; the body is in tow too. No body left behind. Although there some blood around. I then do the same to the other guard. Now I'm free to go inside.

I decide to be sneaky, and enter through a roof window I got open. I dropped inside, and it was empty. Only some loader droids around. I switched to X-ray to see if there any secret doors around. I found one disguising as a wall quickly.

There was no obvious way to open the secret door. So I decided to cheat a little and try out some Mechu-Deru on the secret door to open it. I took a minute to get the door open. I have not practiced Mechu-deru as much as my other Force abilities.

I walk in still cloaked and close the door behind me. Hopefully I was sneaky enough with opening that door.

Through the door was a stairway going down. I followed to the end and entered a Death Watch base seamlessly. I even passed tow guards that were guarding the entrance I just walked out of. They never even noticed I passed them only three feet away from them.

The inside was bustling with Death Watch Mandalorians. Now I just need to find Arla Fett.

"Arla Fett!"

I hear the name of the woman I'm looking for, and look to see who said it. I see what looks to be a commander walking on the floor to a helmeted female Mandalorian standing by herself against a wall.

The commander walks over to her, "Do you mind explaining to me why you didn't kill all of them! Is it so hard to pull a trigger when the hard part of getting close is already done!"

Presumably Arla Fett retorts, "I don't kill kids Sentro. I took out the main target, and the desired effect still happened."

The commander admonished, "What I'm angry about isn't the end result, but that you didn't follow orders. Whether or not they are kids doesn't matter. When I tell you to kill, when Death Watch tells you to kill, you fucking kill! We own you Fett!"

At that remark, I use the Force to detect in there are any control devices being used on Arla. I find one quickly, a slave chip at the base of the brain stem. So besides the alleged mental conditioning, they used a slave chip for further insurance. It seems they are unsure of their work on her. 14 is kind of old to start mental conditioning after all. The personality is more solid than if she was younger.

Arla mumbles, "How long though?"

No one else but the commander, and me, with my enhanced hearing caught it.

The commander was wearing a helmet, but I could tell he had, "The fuck you just say?", look under it.

Before the commander could get out another word, I made my move. No more need to delay after all. I stalked up behind the fuming commander and drove a wrist blade through his chest. I then undid my cloak as the commander sputtered blood.

(Predator clicking/clacking)

All the surrounding Mandalorians around me, including Arla, drew their weapons warily.

I heard some of them mutter, "Predator..."

I then announce, "I am here for Arla Fett, anyone else that gets in my way will die. Let me be clear, that none of you have a chance of surviving me."

One of the commandos says aloud, "Who gives a shit about the Fett. Let the motherfucker take the bitch! No need for any us to die for a tool."

I sigh loudly, "Motherfucker is a trigger word for me now. Sorry, but all of you are dead."

I raise my hand and close all the doors around, and lock them. Then I destroy the door controls. No hacking their way out.

I then take Destined Death, "Stay put for your own good Arla. Unless you want to remain a Death Watch tool."

I then go about using my light-glaive made from dragon dick bone to cut up all the commandos. Severed body parts littered the floor, heads were rolling and being kicked around. Bodies were splatting on the walls. Lightning flashed once or thrice. By the time I was done, the smell of cauterized flesh permeated the air, and fleshy puzzle pieces strewn the floor and walls.

I walk back to Arla who listened and didn't move. I say, "Now, let me remove that slave chip from your neck real quick."

I move my hand to her neck. She grabs it quickly, "If it is tampered with, it'll explode."

I chuckle, "Child's play for me. It won't explode and you won't even feel it being taken out."

She lets go stoically and I continue. I use the Force to disable the chip, then extract it, finally, healing it over with no scar; she never felt a thing. I show the chip to her, then crush it in my hand.

I say to her, "I am here for Arla Fett, which is you. As for the reason, we can discuss that back on my ship. I'm sure you would want to leave this place quickly. We wouldn't want to be interrupted now, would we?"

She nods, "Alright, let's go. I hate these guys."

I then led her back to my ship.
