Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Fatality

Dawn passed through the clouds and patrolled the tundra.

Spots of light drifted across the snow slope, like an eye overlooking the ground.

[Argallo herd x6]

The head sheep was the most vigilant, and it raised its head from the streams where the melting ice gathered.

They had short and straight hooves, thick chest muscles and necks, and looked a bit "top-heavy". The inward spiral horns were sharp and hard.

"Be careful, that thing can pick open the attacker's stomach, or knock through the bushes to escape."

"Why do I feel that it can hear us talking?"

A fragmented conversation came from the hidden place in the woods.

Ken threw a ball made of leaves to the source of the sound, and the hunting team became quiet again.

[The head sheep gave up eating and began to be alert with full concentration. ]

He continued to stare at the other party, chasing along the way for a long time, and finally found this migrating flock of sheep foraging.

[Limited-time mission: Hunting]

[Wasteland level: F]

[When the prey is no longer alone, the competition will be the experience, speed, strength, and judgment of the leaders. ]

Ken is as patient as ever.

There are also experienced hunters in the team. They have worked out the route together and just need to wait quietly for the signal.

The clan members of the Fei Wolf King are moving in secret.

There is an exposed mountain between the two sides, blocking the argali in a corner.

The head sheep became impatient. It sensed a threat and leaped, and moved lightly to the stone with the widest view.

"Can't wait, now."

The gamble of hunting and escaping officially began.

The wolf riders and the bladers flashed out from the woods. They rushed over without any words like ripples on the tundra.

Ken grabbed the wolf's neck hair, climbed on its back, rode on it and led the team to sprint, becoming an arrow in the human wall.

The sheep also fled.

Their vertical and powerful hooves stepped on the slope as if walking on flat ground.

At first glance, it looked like a school of fish out of water, or like thousands of arrows were shot at once, and brown figures were moving away from their team.

"Woo--!"

Along with the howling, a dozen wolves suddenly jumped out from behind the slope in front.

The sheep fell into panic and were attacked from both sides. They even had a small-scale collision while trying to slow down.

Ken squinted his eyes and found that the prey's commotion eased. The sheep turned around and fled in the opposite direction towards him.

In comparison, they still felt that humans were easier to break through.

The head sheep lowered its head, and its huge horns were like a chariot, erect and enlarged in Ken's sight.

The wolf roared, and its speed increased instead of decreasing, and it took on the collision of the head sheep with amazing power.

Ken flew up, feeling stunned. He looked down and saw that the wolf king had turned over and pounced on the prey with sharp claws and fangs.

"Raise the spear, dodge!"

Ken got up after landing and issued instructions to the team behind him.

Upon hearing the order, they immediately jumped into the piercing stream, and at the same time, they thrust their sharp spears and battle axes into the ground. Several argali that failed to dodge in time were immediately gutted.

The following flocks of sheep leaped up, crossing the stream like gray clouds.

The bone whistle was blown in the stream.

The riders and the bladers climbed out wetly, and the wolves greeted their respective masters. The cross-legged movements were a little awkward, but still neat.

The chase continued, and the hunting teams dispersed.

Ken retracted his gaze and turned around. The head sheep was already on the verge of death under the wolf king. He used the steel sword to accurately enter and exit the vital points, and the battle was over.

[Limited-time mission: Hunting]

[Status: Completed]

Before sunset, the wolf riders dragged back enough food to last for the next few days.

The morale of the team was high again.

This was the second day of their hunting trip, and the gray rabbits and rats they had caught earlier had been sent back to [Sandon Kaya].

Ken lit a fire.

This kind of chores should not have been done by Zhan Jing, but the riders saw that he was very interested, so they didn't say much.

The broken molten stone easily ignited the dry wood, and Ken seemed to have fulfilled his obsession.

Kuima led the team to cut the vines.

Some people tied up the prey, some people stuck fish in the stream, and branches held up wet winter clothes to dry them with the heat of the campfire.

After having lunch, the team returned to the main road.

They held their heads high and returned with a full load. Since the beginning of the winter, few people in the tribe have come here.

The scenery of Palotusbi has hardly changed.

At this time, the north wind was no longer biting, and fresh feces and wheel tracks could be found along the way.

[The North is gradually becoming lively, with frequent caravans, more tribal conflicts, and frequent military and looters entering and leaving the mountain roads. ]

Kui Ma patted his mount to catch up, and the wolf cub consciously lagged behind half a step and walked side by side.

"Zhan Jing..."

"Wait, the old name sounds better."

Ken interrupted with a smile, and seeing that he was still trying to refute, he added:

"At least you should develop the good habit of concealing your identity outside. There are many ambitious people with strange minds south of the high wall, and you will inevitably have to deal with them in the future."

Kui Ma looked enlightened, and couldn't imagine how far Zhan Jing's plan had gone.

"Well, so what's the matter?"

"Oh, yes, Zhan... Mr. Ken, you should put on this coat first."

His old coat was already damaged, and he basically went into battle shirtless today, which looked a bit dazzling, but it was common for the tribes in the North.

Kuima is a local of Pallotus, but in terms of physique, he is far less resistant to cold than himself.

Looking at the single layer of clothes on him, forget it.

Ken shook his head and refused directly, just in time to hear the shouting and killing at the end of the road.

He commanded the team to hide in the woods. The wolves were agile and disappeared in the bushes with a few leaps carrying goods and people.

The sound of horse hooves?

This kind of mount is not common in the North. Snow lizards and long-haired beasts are people's first choice.

Several almost disintegrated carriages broke into the field of vision, with arrowheads stuck on the door panels, and about ten men, women, young and old.

Among them were scholars wearing tunics and porters with coarse linens.

"Kill them, the women can stay."

The rough laughter and obscene language, needless to say-this team of unlucky guys encountered looters.

The barking of the Hayden dogs came from afar, and they seemed a little afraid when passing in front of the dense forest.

The leader threw out the stone tripping stone, the rope net and the stone got stuck in the wheels, the horses neighed and were led off the direction, several carriages turned sideways, collided with each other and lay across the middle of the road, completely cutting off the retreat.

[The looters are doing business, you can leave without doing anything, or follow your heart's choice. ]

Quima is waiting for orders.

He is a young man with a strong sense of justice.

Ken chuckled and thought that he would just treat it as a test of the team's growth, so he simply waved his hand.

The wolves jumped out of the woods, and several Hayden dogs immediately retracted their tails. The looters were thrown to the ground, and blood flowed.

The leader of the looters was a bald giant with a burly figure, broad shoulders, and ridiculously strong arms. He quickly organized his team and then looked up at the slope.

There stood a huge wolf.

Above it was a young man with bare arms and an indifferent expression.
