Lying in front of him was the package he just received with all the products and an agreement for accepting an advertisement from this particular Fast-moving consumer goods company called Evergreen.
Although Evergreen is currently a new company, as someone who has lived the next twenty years, he is very familiar with this brand which has made its place in the daily life of common people in the country.
There is no agreement in the mail but, they have expressed their intention to collaborate with Rishab to be their brand ambassador for the next two years.
Rishab's eyes widened as he gazed at the package, a mix of nostalgia and surprise washing over him. Evergreen, a company that was still in its infancy now, would one day become a household name, synonymous with quality and trust. He had seen it all unfold in his previous life, and now, here he was, being offered a chance to be a part of it from the front end.
As he examined the products, Rishab's mind raced with the possibilities. He knew the impact that Evergreen would have on the market, the way it would revolutionize the fast-moving consumer goods industry. And now, they wanted him to be their brand ambassador, to be the face of the company for the next two years.
Rishab felt a shiver run down his spine as he thought about the potential consequences of this collaboration. He had always known that he would have to make difficult choices in this life, but he had never imagined that he would be faced with such an opportunity so soon.
But something has changed during this timeline that this offer has fallen into his hands now. Thinking back to the past, he was busy with his friends and Sherlyn at this point of the time when the package arrived.
"I cannot doubt my friends since they have never given up on me in the past. Although we might have drifted apart we treat each one of us with respect. But this cannot be taken lightly when given a second chance in life. There should always be a benefit of doubt and I must have to proceed with caution."
With a deep breath, Rishab began to weigh his options, considering the pros and cons of partnering with Evergreen. He knew that this decision would not only affect his career but also his personal life, and he couldn't afford to make a mistake.
Also mentioned is that he can basically negotiate the price after his personal visit to the company. Rishab kept his cool and began to think about the negotiation process with the company.
After the classes, the next morning Rishab left to the headquarters of Evergreen to seal the deal with the company's representatives. As he arrived at the sleek and modern headquarters of Evergreen, Rishab was greeted by a friendly receptionist who took him to the conference room. The room was filled with a team of marketing executives, all eager to meet the young actor with a fresh look who would be the face of their brand.
Rishab took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the negotiation process. He knew that he had the upper hand, given his knowledge of the company's future success. But he also wanted to be fair and reasonable, ensuring that both parties benefited from the partnership.
The meeting began with a warm welcome from the team, followed by a presentation of their proposal. Rishab listened attentively, nodding along as they outlined the terms of the agreement. When they finished, he took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to work with Evergreen," Rishab began. "However, I do have some concerns regarding the compensation. I believe my involvement will be bringing significant value to the brand, and I'd like to discuss the possibility of a different kind of endorsement fee."
The room fell silent, with the executives exchanging nervous glances. Rishab continued, his voice calm and confident. "I'm open to negotiation, but I expect a fair deal that reflects the value I'll bring to the company."
One of the executives, a middle-aged man with a firm handshake, smiled. "We're willing to listen, Rishab. Let's discuss the details and see what we can do."
Rishab leaned forward, his eyes locked on the executive before him. "I'm not just looking for a one-time payment. I want a partnership that reflects my commitment to Evergreen's success. I'm thinking of a minimal percentage in sales, maybe 4-5%."
Although Rishab has asked for a fair deal between both the parties, he is a little conflicted about the new approach that he adopted, whether he will be able take off and make the company reach such heights in the period of him being the brand ambassador. Anyhow reaching up to this point and knowing about the future prospects, growth and direction of the company, he is willing to take such risk.
The room fell silent again, slightly surprised about such a proposal coming from the younger generation. The executive nodded thoughtfully. "That's an interesting proposal, Rishab. We've never offered a share of sales before, but we're willing to consider it."
Rishab smiled, sensing an opportunity. "I'm glad you're open to it. I believe my involvement will not only boost sales but also increase brand visibility and loyalty. A share of sales would ensure that I'm invested in the company's growth and success. It is a win-win for both the parties"
The executives nodded, taking up the notes and whispering among themselves. After a few moments, one of the executives spoke up. "We can offer you 2.5% of sales, with a guaranteed minimum payment of five hundred thousand dollars per annum. Plus, we'll throw in a bonus structure tied to sales performance."
Rishab's eyes narrowed, calculating the offer. It was a good starting point, but he knew he could push for more. "I'm thinking more along the lines of 4% of sales, with guaranteed minimum payment of Five hundred thousand dollars per annum as it is. And I want the bonus structure to be more aggressive, tied to specific sales targets."
The executives glanced at each other, slightly hesitant but are willing to negotiate further. The team leader nodded. "We will discuss this internally with the higher executives and get back to you, Rishab. We'll see what we can do."
Rishab was sitting in the conference room waiting for the marketing executives to come up with the further negotiation process. As he was waiting, he received a notification on his phone which turned him gloomy in the instant. Rishab's eyes widened as he read the message on his phone. His heart sank, and his mind went blank.
He did not want the same to happen in his current life too, but yet he cannot yield to it because he has different priorities and ambitions to achieve.
Soon, one of the executives called him to meet with the Vice President of the Marketing department to finalize the deal according to his own conditions. They are very satisfied with Rishab's conditions as it is within their limitations and is a win-win situation for both the parties in the contract.
Agreement is signed and the deal is made final. Congratulating each other they bid their goodbyes and Rishab left to deal with the upcoming storm. He has decided to compromise and mend the relations for a better future.
