Chapter 2 - Little Quest

Suddenly it all made sense. The teacher calling me a different name, the classroom, and also the person the teacher called up.

While I was having my internal monologue the bell rang signifying that class ended.

Some people left and a few people stayed.

"Alan, wanna go out today?" Hearing this, I looked toward the noise and saw Alan with a few girls.

"Hey! That's not fair, today it's my turn to be with Alan!" A girl next to Alan exclaimed.

"Yeah, sorry Silvy, I already agreed to hang out with Lily today." Alan now spoke up. Alan was actually very handsome with fair skin and jett black hair and eyes the color of the sea.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. How about tomorrow?" Silvy looked dejected but didn't give up.

"Well, tomorrow I also agreed to go with Mel." Alan replied with a sorry look on his face.

"We can go on Sunday though!" Hearing this, Silvy's face lit up and she agreed immediately.

While they were talking, I was just listening and staring at them the whole time and finally one of them noticed.

"Guys, the delinquent is staring at us. Can we leave now?" The girl called Mel noticed me and called out to the group.

After this they all left leaving me being the only person left in the classroom.

I decided to also leave once Alan's group left.

"Wait, if I transmigrated to this world then all the items should be here and I can grab them!"

This thought occurred to me and I immediately left and started exploring the school.

I noticed I had a phone and although it was locked I had my fingerprint and opened it easily.

The date was 3/17/2022

We should be in the first year of the academy and the semester should have started in August and ends in June, so we were in the middle of the second semester.

Knowing this it would be a month before Alan's awakening.

I opened up a map on my phone and located my dorm. After a few minutes I reached there and found the key in my pocket.

The dorm didn't have much with just a couch, the kitchen, a small area to eat, and the bedroom.

Entering my room, I saw a laptop and my bed. Opening up the computer I found that there was no password.

"Well that definitely isn't a security risk."

I browsed through it a while seeing the search history but there weren't really anything important in there.

I thought of what happened back in the classroom. Although there seemed to be no abnormalities the problem was I am the author so I know what should have happened.

During the time when Alan was in the academy, he was supposed to be a introverted nobody unlike the guy I just saw who has a bunch of chicks around him now.

At least the body I transmigrated into was actually pretty talented. Thinking of that I decided to see if maybe Ethan already awakened at this time.

"Status." I whispered quietly, and immediately a translucent blue screen appeared in front of me.

= = = =

This body has already awakened! Not only that, the stats is pretty good for a F rank.

The most surprising part of this is refinement. Refinement essentially allowed you to upgrade a item if you have the items needed to upgrade it and paired with S rank luck, I can basically refine everything without having to worry about it failing!

Now I need to organize my thoughts and plan for the future. One thing for sure was that the Alan in this world is different than the one in my novel.

Although I had a few ideas of what could have happened I decided to leave them for later and focus on something else, the items.

After all I am the author of this world so I would know all the secret items in this place.

Leaving my dorm I headed towards the front gate of the school following the directions on my phone.

"Alright, so I am supposed to walk straight until I find a waterfall." Saying this I shook my head thinking how cliche is was to place a item behind a waterfall.

30 minutes later I arrived at my destination.

All around me were lush green trees and before me stood a lake with a mighty waterfall towering behind it.

"How am I gonna get behind there." I probably should have thought of this earlier but I noticed a small rocky path that led to a cave behind the waterfall.

Following this path I arrived at the cave and saw a simple book atop of a altar.

Standing before the altar I could see that there was a book on top of it. There was no title for the book or anything but that was to be expected.

This book wouldn't actually show anything until you reunited it with another special item that would have been claimed by a random villain but now that I'm here, he won't be getting that anymore.

Pocketing the book, I simply left the cave and headed back towards my dorm room.

Originally, the hero would have found this place but at that point in time, there were already monsters residing here but right now, there were none. The hero would have just taken the book but since he didn't have the other item, it was basically useless to him so he just threw it away somewhere.

I honestly left that item as a Easter egg for lore because the book was created by a unknown person in the past that was said to be very strong.

Anyways, I returned to my dorm and flopped down on my couch.

"What a day it's been." I said to myself.
