The night came and went, the entire cast started their morning early waking up right at 6 am. As the group rose up from their beds they began their morning routines. After grooming themselves and eating breakfast they met up in the room.
Terrence was the first to speak up, "So what's the plan about the pub guy." After a bit of discussion Michael suggested they get Eli to help. While most of the group did want him involved they also didn't want someone to do everything for them.
Terrence spoke up, "how about we go in, listen around for a bit. We only call Eli if it seems necessary." Damien and Ramen went along with it, they quickly got ready and went off to the Pub. As the group walked out of the hotel they heard an odd voice. "Come on, Come one, look around my neat shop. Buy it out wont ya?!?" The group looked around until they saw a shaky shack and a small vendor.
The small dark skinned vendor pointed at the group. "Hey you four, come over here. Buy everything won't you." The group were pulled in by the sweet voice. Ramen spoke up, "Well what do you have for us? A nice small smile popped on her face, "Well you see I've got some pretty nice things." Damien, being slightly impatient, spoke quickly, "What do you have?"
With her eyebrow raised, "I got some steak, chicken, sparkly gold apples, and this elytra." Almost like exclamation marks coming out of her mouth, the group was shocked. They all shouted the same thing, "This sounds like something from a game."
She then said, "Well you could say that but what you tryna buy?" Terrence inquired about the prices of these items, she responded. "The steak and chicken are about 50 a piece, the apple is about 100,000 and the elytra is about the same."
"Wait, you mean in dollars?!?" The group exclaimed as they were quite surprised. After a long bit of discussion and looking in their now seemingly empty pockets they were going to walk away. But, Terrence had hope, "Hey, is that really all you're selling?"
With a bit of a smirk the vendor spoke, "Nah, it ain't. She then pulled out a map." Terrance with surprised eyes walked over to the vendor. She then explained, "If you give me everything in your pockets right now, I'll give ya this map."
Terrance gave it some thought, Ramen and Damien weren't very quiet about it either. "GET IT!!" "Come on dude take it." "It will definitely be worth the money." The vendor was also being a demon on his shoulder, "Yuh man buy the damn thing :)" With much thought Terrance finally snatched the map from the vendor and handed her all the money in his pockets.
She smiled, softly, then vanished. The group watched as the vendor and her shop turned into dust, then gone with the wind. Seeing this, everyone glanced at each other. They agreed to ponder on it too much.
Terrance quickly opened up the map, there was an inscription in the middle. "This map will show you everything as long as you've been there before. You can also see your friends on this map." When he looked at the map he quickly saw that there weren't any dots. Soon the map lit up with details, as if looking from a bird's eye view he saw everything from above.
From the buildings to the alley ways, if he tried hard enough he could even see himself and the group. Out of nowhere Michael asked, "So what's the map about?"
Terrence gave him a weird look before just saying, "It's a map that shows me everywhere I've been before." The other two heard this as well but before asking any extra question they just went over towards the pub.
The caravan of fools follow their questions to citizens in order to find their path to the pub. Finally they arrive, while looking around they notice people walking around. With not much hesitation they step inside.
Walking in, everyone sees a slightly empty bar. Not expecting much more than this they walk over to the tender. Terrance ordered a martini, Damien just some water, Ramen some tequila and Michael some milk.
After not much time passing, Terrance asked the tender, "Excuse me but could you tell me who runs this place." The old tender answered quietly, "He's just the boss, goes by no name." With his rusty hands the old man just polished a glass.
Ramen added onto the conversation after a sip of tequila, "Well, to tell you the truth we have some questions." The older man then paced around a bit, "Young man you do realize you're questions are dangerous."
After taking his last sips Ramen ordered another. The bartender walked to the back to get a fresh bottle of tequila and poured some down for Ramen. After sliding the cup to Ramen the bartender spoke softly, "This one is a little more enhanced."
Being slightly precautious, Ramen used his water bending to sense the properties in the drink. He sensed there were dozens of different substances in the drink. Knowing his drink was supposed to just be tequila, it was clear that this was spiked.
The older bartender still whispers, "Take a sip, the others might think you are suspicious." Ramen hearing this separated as many of the substances he could before drinking just the Tequila. "Well now that I've had my morning drink time to get back to work, see you later."
Ramen then nodded at the older man, he nodded at the rest of the group then they left. After exiting the pub, Ramen explained, "The place is definitely suspicious, but I think we can trust the bartender though."
The group listened before making their way back to the small gym of theirs. Ramen on the way purchased a pack of Coca Cola. The group began to train, doing their own work. While training, Damien offered Terrance to spar.
Terrance accepted with not much hesitation, accepted. The two stepped up to their positions, both benders got in their stances. Terrence was the first to make a move. His resourcefulness knows no bounds as he makes a wall in front of himself and pushes it forward. Damien popped up into the air avoiding the incoming wall with efficiency. Unfortunately for him who assumed Terrence would remain in place was nowhere to be found.
All of a sudden a boulder flew up from below crashing into Damien. Terrence smiled in victory, but when the dust settled Damien remained unscathed. "Well that was close, if I didn't make that shield I woulda been done." Damien then dispersed his air shield to push himself away to a new position.
Terrence moved with haste following Damien. Terrence stomped the ground then he started running with the earth. Moving faster, then even faster the two were playing a game of cat and mouse. Damien began to float down to the floor, with this moment of weakness Terrence followed quick.
Terrence immediately charged forward with a fist full of rocks. As he gripped his fist, Terrence threw a powerful right hand. Damien quickly captured the air around him to create his shield. Unfortunately for him Terrence's fist was a bit too prepared.
Punching through the shield, Damien was hit in his body, sending him to the floor. Terrence with a smirk walked toward Damien. Seeing this Damien was getting ready for belittlement. But when the hand was placed in front of Damien he heard, "Wanna go for another round?"
Damien, with relief seeing Terrence's warm smile, he got up. Shook the dirt from his pants and got back in his stance. Terrence backed up and the two began their training once again.
"So Michael, wanna get to it?" Ramen then threw a can of cola to the trash. "Well I don't mind but I've got to ask, you like cola that much?" Michael then looked at the half empty pack that Ramen was drinking from.
Picking it up, Michael looked at Ramen for an answer. "Dude I don't know, I'm just really craving it." Ramen then looked at Michael for a response to the previous question.
Michael threw a can to Ramen and blew a small breath of fire. Ramen who caught the can chugged the entire can and then took a stance. Ramen got an orb of water, then he shot the orb in a magnificent speed toward Michael.
With a bit of surprise in his movements, Michael blew a breath of fire to disperse the water. Michael spun around creating beautiful flowing flames, responding to this Ramen made a small precise shard of ice.
Ramen then shot the ice into the flames, dispersing them completely. With newfound vision, Michael ducked under the shard, he quickly dashed forward charging Ramen. Water was quick to respond as it was whipped at the flames.
The burning flames weren't easy to drench though. The flames moved quickly so much so that in a matter of seconds they were in front of his target. The flames then slashed at the air, trying to cut through these rough waters.
The waters were as they should, they evaded with not much effort. As Ramen dodged Michael's attack, he shot a quick shard toward Michael. Michael who attempted to parry the shard was quick to find out his hands weren't tough enough.
Michael was cut in his hand, Ramen who saw this wasted no time in healing his hand. As the flames were being healed with water, he spoke, "I don't know what it is but, I'm missing something. It's like I'm a lock whose key is missing."
Ramen spoke words of encouragement, "look we both just started our adventure together, I'm sure we're all missing a small piece from our puzzles." Michael smiles with this new form of friendship, "Thanks man, that was helpful." The two shook hands then took a moment of rest. A few hours later, it was noon.
"Look, I love training and all but I think we all know the money might not always come in. I'm gonna find a job." Michael then waved the group goodbye before shouting to meet at the pub around 8.
Ramen and Terrence began to brainstorm some job ideas. "Look I'm an earth bender, I heard that most of them work in the police force because it provides both money and a place to train." Ramen nodded in agreement, "well not a bad Idea but what the hell am I supposed to do?"
Damien who was just watching the two began to think a thing or two himself. Out loud his asked for advice, "would an airbender in the police force be out of the question?" Terrence was quick with responses to both questions.
"You are probably gonna have to check in newsletters for job openings. Damien, I think an airbender wouldn't be a bad Idea, wanna try out with me?"
Ramen sighed with a bit of relief knowing that there's a little hope of work, he then sipped his last can of cola. Damien and Terrence glanced their eyes in awe, "Dude that's 12 cans by yourself, are you good?"
Terrence then walked over to Ramen consoling him of his addiction. Ramen wasn't without words, "Ever since I took a sip of that tenders drink I've been craving cola. It's really weird."
Damien gave no real thought to it and was just wondering when they would go get their jobs. Ramen threw his trash away and walked off to find a job for himself. Terrence walked over to Damien, "Ready to go?"
So they went, they began walking towards their destination of a police station which they could only assume was in the middle of downtown. On the other side of town Michaels has been walking around doing who knows what. "Random pole, dog, cat, oouu shop." Michael then found himself a quaint shop, you couldn't find it unless you tried. There sitting outside was an elderly woman sitting outside.
Michael with little to no sense of a personal space walked over to the lady, "Well excuse me could you by chance be needing assistance." The woman gave a labored nod then she said, "come on in.." Michael walked in not expecting much so he just followed along.
She kept walking around until there were boxes to move. She then somewhat commanded, "Organize those boxes would you." Michael quietly started moving these boxes around placing them where she asked. He moved very eagerly trying to make a good impression.
After doing so she was quite surprised as he did good work. "Help organize those items inside would you, place them on the shelves nicely." He then did so, he opened up boxes of antiques, decor, and more. "Why young man, I need a delivery boy soon, would you be that for me." Michael thought about it a bit, weighted cardio didn't seem too bad for him.
The lady then said, "You can call me Ms. Shire, I have a grand-daughter who will be working here. So don't worry too much about work today." She smiled and waved him goodbye. "Yes mam, but I would like to tell you I have a second job so I wont be able to work here fully committed." She nodded and patted his back, "sweety don't worry about it too much."
He then waved her goodbye and Jogged away, little did he realize it's already almost 8. Back a few hours ago Ramen has been walking around town looking for flyers for a job. Soon he found a poster, the poster was looking for Ice benders willing to work in the cold. He snatched the flyer and ran off to his destination.
After about 15 minutes going to the far west of the town he found the lonesome Ice Factory. Step by step he made his way inside finding a somewhat full but cold expanse. Looking at the expanse of just workers turning a flow of water into large chunks of ice. Ramen then found a man with a clipboard, he went over to him with a question or two.
"Excuse me, are you the manager?" The man turned around and replied, "Yes, I am. Are you here because of the flyer?" Ramen nodded his head yes and asked for the job. With not much resistance the man simply gave Ramen an application paper.
He filled the paper quickly and terms of payment were also listed. "You will be paid $6 an hour but you will also be paid by unit of Ice. Each block of Ice is worth 10 cents. You will be paid weekly every Friday."
Ramen nodded his head and offered to start working then and there. The manager nodded but before anything Ramen mentioned that he wouldn't work here consistently as he has another job. The manager shrugged his shoulders and brushed it off.
Moving into the downtown of Republic city, we find a duo walking around trying to find the police station. Without much information Damien decided to take his own path. He began walking to people asking if they had a job for him. After being constantly rejected he wondered why everyone was being rude.
Not realizing that it's normal to ignore random people walking up to you, Damien was getting annoyed. He thought to himself what he could do to get a job even if it wasn't being a police officer. He then got a bright Idea, "Let's show my worth."
Damien then stood in the middle of the street showcasing his air bending. But little did he know that his moves were not very impressive. In a bit of anger mixed with annoyance he decided to further show his "grace". Damien struck the ground below and began to spin around the debris.
Terrence who was just watching this sighed in disbelief. He then thought to himself, "At least one of us is finding a station." And not waiting too long Damien heard sirens blaring towards him. The police officers drove in, took this metal and subdued Damien, they then took him to the station.
