Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

FIVE MILLION YEARS AGO

In a planet located in the Milky Way galaxy, solar system, rivers of blood could be seen flowing on the ground dyeing it red. There were buildings that had turned into ruins and smoke was rising from them. There were signs on the ground that a big war had occurred. Deep hollows, depressions, ruined houses, dried water bodies and crumbled mountains were all over the planet.

Dead bodies all over. The cruelty of war. The reason behind all this destruction was that a native of this planet had offended a noble person from another big and powerful planet. This was the reason known by many but who knew it was the main reason.

On top of a mountain sat a man who was staring at what used to be the biggest city below. He was dressed in an armor but the armor was almost broken completely. His body was dyed red by blood, his and that of his enemies. It was as clear as a cloudless sky in the night that the man was severely injured. He had a huge cut running from his ear downwards to his chin. One of his arms had been severed while the other held a sword. Looking at his eyes, one could see that regret had filled the eyes leaving the dull. He muttered, "Is it worth it? Nine billion lives lost just because of that? Maybe it would have been better to just let it go. Sigh…" Probably, he was the only person that knew what he was referring to.

"One day there might come a person who will avenge everybody. Just because you a great background you made a mountain out of a molehill and used it as a reason to destroy a whole planet," he said with resentment. He finally let himself fall down the mountain. He had stayed alive for that long because of his firm will. His unwillingness to die made it impossible for him to just die but on seeing everything annihilated, his will weakened and finally could live anymore. No one knew that this planet would retain the red color due blood and would be referred by the generations that came later as the Red planet, MARS.
