The town bell rung as Ayziel and his men made their way into the cobbled street where the rich people in Dwinsdale lived.
He was dressed in his green armor. His sword buckled around his waist.
He took comfort in the dagger tucked into the side of his boot. It was as if she was always with him--owl girl.
She would be disgusted at the man he had become. She had hoped he would be selfish, maybe, she had wished for him to be free of his father but he had become his father's slave, executing people like himself and the girl who owned his life.
Oren broke down the door of their target for the night. The reason they had been sent to Dwinsdale in Aralor City. King Roderick had a few spies in the town, spies who believed in the total eradication of hybrids and tribrids. Spies who betrayed their own people. All it took was one slip up and a man, a woman or even a child would be burnt alive for what they were born as.
