After their visit to Dragon's Vault Bank, Elda and Aric head to Mystic Market. Known as the ultimate destination for magical supplies, rare artifacts, and exotic ingredients, Mystic Market is a bustling and vibrant marketplace located in the heart of Arcana. The market is open year-round, attracting visitors from all over the magical world with its enchanting atmosphere and diverse offerings.
Upon entering Mystic Market, Aric is greeted by the delightful cacophony of lively chatter, the clinking of potion bottles, and the hum of magical energy. The air is filled with the scents of exotic spices, freshly baked magical pastries, and the occasional puff of smoke from a spell demonstration. Brightly colored banners and enchanted lanterns float above the bustling stalls, casting a warm, inviting glow over the cobblestone streets.
"Elda, this place is incredible!" Aric exclaims, his eyes wide with wonder.
Elda smiles warmly at his excitement. "Aric, today you need to get yourself a wand, so let's go to The Enchanted Emporium to meet Mr. Aldric Silverquill."
Aric nods, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as he tries to absorb all the new information.
The Enchanted Emporium is the largest and most renowned shop in Mystic Market, offering a vast array of magical items including wands, spellbooks, enchanted jewelry, and rare artifacts. The shop is run by the knowledgeable and charismatic Aldric Silverquill, a favorite among seasoned magicians and novices alike.
As they enter the shop, Aldric greets them with a warm smile. "Welcome to The Enchanted Emporium! What can I help you with today?"
"Hello, I'm Aric Moonshadow. I'm looking for a wand that suits me," Aric replies, trying to sound confident.
"Very well," Aldric responds, studying Aric closely. "From Moonshadow, huh? Please wait here for a moment."
Aldric examines the House Crystal and then looks back at Aric. "Please, Mr. Aric, look for your wand."
Aric explores the shop, moving through the four rooms that each represent the houses of Starshade Academy: Dragon, Phoenix, Griffin, and Unicorn. As he searches, his locket suddenly resonates with a wall, causing a hidden room to appear. Intrigued, Aric steps inside.
The room is grand and contains a single wand resting on a pedestal. His locket glows in response to the wand.
"Is this locket telling me to choose this wand?" Aric wonders aloud.
Aldric, who has followed Aric into the room, speaks slowly. "That's a House of the Wolf wand, Master Aric. It seems to be the only one left. Its brothers and sisters are gone, and it is choosing you to wield it."
"Is it okay for me to have this wand, sir?" Aric asks, his voice filled with awe.
Aldric nods solemnly. "I'm afraid, Mr. Aric, you are the only one who can wield it. This wand has waited for a thousand years."
Aric, not quite hearing the last part, asks, "What did you say?"
"Nothing, Mr. Aric," Aldric replies with a smile. "Would you like to customize your wand to make it more normal?"
Aldric places four head carvings on the table: a phoenix, a dragon, a griffin, and a unicorn.
"Choose one of these, Mr. Aric," Aldric instructs.
Aric examines the carvings and selects the phoenix. "I choose the phoenix. It looks cool, right, Elda?"
Elda smiles proudly. "Yes, Aric. It's perfect."
Aldric carefully attaches the phoenix carving to the wand, completing the customization. "There you go, Mr. Aric. Your wand is now truly unique and ready for your journey at Starshade Academy."
Aric grips the wand, feeling a surge of magical energy flow through him. He smiles, knowing that this is just the beginning of his magical adventure.
After Aric exits the shop, Aldric turns to Elda. "Elda, is Aric truly a Moonshadow?" he asks, his eyes filled with curiosity.
Elda closes her eyes for a moment, her expression unreadable. "Aldric, some questions are better left unanswered," she replies softly. "But rest assured, he is where he belongs."
Aldric nods, sensing there is more to Aric's story than meets the eye. "Very well, Elda. Take care of him. He's a special one."
Elda smiles faintly. "I will, Aldric. I will."
