Swinging as usual to the top of a large skyscraper, Sasuke walked to the edge and sat down gently, admiring the city below him.
Stretching his back lazily, he then summoned a large bowl of Ichiraku's ramen with ample side dishes, a plate of meat, some veggies and a glass of water.
All that tinkering and prancing around with Gojo and Geto got him hungry.
He chewed on some meat and then his eyes lit up for a moment. It'd been a while since he last had a 'therapeutic' conversation with Mei. It'd been a while since he heard from her, and knowing how greedy she was, it was surprising she hadn't called to berate him especially since he had not paid her for her previous services.
He took out his phone and browsed through the call logs only to find dozens of missed calls, but the unknown number didn't belong to Mei. He thought for a moment before figuring out who was blowing up his phone at this time and a smile crawled onto his face.
"Ah fuck. I might as well go see her anyway.."
He contemplated for a moment, then made a mental note to go visit that foreign gothic chick from the cafe the other time.
Back to what really mattered at the moment. Gojo was strong. Too strong even according to the standards of this world. Honestly, the more he thought about it, the more he realized how insanely clever Toji was to have been able to put not just Gojo down, but Geto as well.
Sasuke wasn't even sure if he could do that with his current strength. Toji basically no diffed Geto in that fight. It wasn't even close. At best, a fight with Geto would be mid and that was being generous to him.
If he could lure Geto with an illusion and then one shot him with a chidori and any other Jutsu, which he doubted, then it would be easy, but if not, he would be hard pressed should Geto use the domains of the special Grades in his arsenal.
Gojo on the other hand was different. Despite how much skilled he was compared to Gojo, Sasuke knew they were equal in strength at the moment if he wasn't slightly stronger.
First off, Gojo's blue alone was immensely stronger than his chidori in terms of AP. He was far more durable than Gojo was, but Gojo's hax: the Infinity made this stat irrelevant because he was untouchable by conventional means.
In terms of speed, he was massively faster and stronger than Gojo was, heck he had even surpassed Toji in this area. But then again, the six eyes and infinity made it impossible to touch him, so speed was useless against an opponent who couldn't be touched.
In terms of both dojutsu, the Sharingan even in its three tomoe state was more hax than the six eyes. The only thing the six eyes had that was better than the Sharingan was energy efficiency, making the user never run out of cursed energy.
The Sharingan lacked in this aspect. Although it could see energy almost as clear as the six eyes, it couldn't allow the user to manipulate it down to the atomic level.
All in all, with the six eyes and the Limitless, Sasuke still put Gojo on a similar level to himself.
But.....
This was what he found most interesting. The six eyes was not completely immune to his sharingan's illusion. During the small scuffle with him, Sasuke had cast a subtle genjutsu on Gojo warping his senses for a moment.
How else would the six eyes with all of its visual acuity have failed to notice the volatile lightning energy brewing with the body of the lightning clone he had sent out to Geto until it had exploded?
But ultimately, it was complicated. Ordinary Jujutsu sorcerers would not fall for such amateurish genjutsu, rather it would require a more potent and powerful one to reel in their senses, but for the six eyes it was a whole different thing.
Genjutsu of immense magnitude such as Tsukuyomi or kotoamatsukami would instantly be picked up by the six eyes visual prowess, however small and subtle illusions that were quick to warp the senses might delay him a bit.
This was why Sasuke felt he could be a small level above Gojo currently. In a life or death battle, a small delay would inevitably result in death and it was not an exaggeration.
But, this was for the current Gojo. The fully awakened, honoured one Gojo would probably one shot the current him with a red or purple, but at the same time, him with the Mangekyou Sharingan would probably be able to block these attacks with Susano'o. If not he was cooked -- and he knew it.
Reaching deep into his consciousness, a smile formed on his face, as he remembered the rewards from his last battle with Toji.
- The second level of the Cursed Seal of Heaven.
- Mitotic Regeneration: 100 Seals Jutsu.
- The Death Reaper's Seal.
- Lightning Chakra Mode.
Looking at the above rewards, he sighed in satisfaction wondering how he had been blessed with such luck. The second level of the cursed seal of heaven was useless for him at the moment, with it's massive drawbacks, but it had helped him establish a pseudo connection to sage energy which he was really grateful for.
The lightning chakra mode was a better option to increase his overall stats. But it's most important use to him was the extreme increase in speed he was going to get after full mastery.
In the Naruto world, the only people faster than the Raikages who had mastered the Lightning Chakra Mode could be counted on one hand. Heck, even light speed was even possible with this Jutsu and it was not an exaggeration.
Of course, he was grateful for the boost in strength and durability the technique could grant, but his fighting style mainly depended on his speed.
He could start studying the Mitotic Regeneration Technique asap, because he desperately needed a healing technique. The effects of this Jutsu were even far more exaggerated than RCT and it's only drawback was the shortening of lifespan which he could find his way around.
By virtue of having a body that housed multiple souls, the Grim Reaper's Seal was a huge boon for him and could even be used as a trump card when he needed it.
He finished his meal quickly, drank few cups of water and disappeared, leaving behind an after image that slowly disappeared.
Meanwhile...
Back at her cafe, Mina sat quietly, staring outside the glass walls in a daydream. Of course it was full to the brim just like always, but despite the overflow of customers, she found herself constantly zoning out durunf mid day with only one thing on her mind - his handsome face.
She wasn't in love with him- god knows she wasn't or she hoped not, but there was just something about him. He was different from all the guys she had met before or dated. Sasuke was just something else.
Weird, but in a crazy way that baffled her. It felt almost supernatural. He had this aura that was impossible to ignore, and his deep dark irises looked like he had seen real shit in his years of existence.
He looked like the type of guy who could kill without batting an eye and hold a baby in his same hands the same day. It frightened her, but at the same time, it intrigued her to the max.
She hadn't hesitated in blowing up his phone with calls so many times that she had basically lost count. Yet, just as she predicted, someone like him would definitely not pay attention to her. He was probably busy doing crazy and weird stuff and had already forgotten about her.
"Sigh.. That fucker. What did he take me for?"
She sighed and buried her face in her arms, not wanting to drown herself in thought any longer.
That was until she heard the door bell ring at that same exact moment.
"Takeout only. No more reservations.."
She spoke in a strained voice and barely lifted her head to the incoming customer, but ....
"Not even for me?"
The moment that deep yet calm voice sounded out, her eyes widened in shock and her body reacted as fast as she could, her head raising instantly, as she recognised that voice right out the bat.
She nearly teared up, as she watched him walk into the shop calmly, ignoring every other person there and focusing only on her, but she kept her composure and took in a deep breath.
"Especially you. What brings you here anyway?"
The moment he entered, she felt strength return to her limbs and she noticed the coffee in one of tbe customer's mugs nearlt finished, so she reached out to give customer a refill.
Meanwhile, Sasuke was taken aback. This was not the reaction he was expecting at all. But she was kind weird low key so he just shrugged and walked to the counter.
"I'm just here to pay a visit. I couldn't answer your calls."
His face held an apologetic smile, yet she forced the anger and displeasure on her face and maintained that expression.
"No shit Sherlock."
She coldly harrumphed and rolled her eyes, but Sasuke was amused rather than bored. He found her actions rather...cute.
"To make up for it, how about a date. On ummm, Tuesday."
Sasuke thought for a moment, scheduling his days in his mind and picking one free day out.
The moment his words sounded out, she froze in her tracks and the coffee jug nearly fell out of her hand.
"Could you say that one more time, yeah?"
She asked and shivered slightly, staring towards him with shaky lips.
"I said I wanted to go out on a date...with you."
Sasuke walked to her with a smile and gently poked the tip of her nose which caused her to nearly start hyperventilating.
"Yes!!"
Her scream nearly shattered all the glass walls and windows, and she hugged him in excitement, while Sasuke looked baffled.
He was pretty sure he didn't say no crazy ass seductive lines or anything and was rathee straightforward with it. Was he that smooth with it, or was it because he was just too handsome?
He didn't really pay much attention to it after a bit of thought and enjoyed the hug, under the stunned gazes of all the customers.
"But you gotta wear something nice though. Not whatever this is."
She separated from him briefly just to make her point clear, that she was disgusted by his sense of fashion, but he rolled his eyes and smiled.
