David froze in place after seeing the creature . He watched as Catherine removed her blindfold and heard the creature threatening her . She then turned with a knife in her hand, attempting to stab the beast . However, it managed to dodge the attack, so she tried again, but upon seeing that creature , she fainted.
When David saw the creature sharpening its upper claws , making them as sharp as arrows , above the cone shape, he predicted what was going to happen next. He tried to move to save Catherine, but he couldn't. He attempted to shout, but it was in vain—he couldn't even make a sound . He wasn't sure if it was because he had lost so much blood or for some other reason.
Tears filled his eyes as he tried to crawl on his knees to go there .
'Please, move... Don't do this to me, please. This isn't the time for this , let me move. I have to intervene now; it's now or never. Please , let me do this.'
He started screaming internally as he saw the creature bending down, positioning its upper claw in front of Catherine's neck. 'Hurry... hurry... hurry... There's no time. He's clearly going to kill her. Please, move faster... Don't let me down now. If you don't act, you're useless. If you can't save her, you're of no use. Hurry and intervene !'

He saw Caster sitting on the bed, but within seconds , Caster stood up and kicked Catherine's head , shouting ,
" Shit, when will this end ?!"
While that was happening, David fell onto his stomach as he was trying to move and realized he could move again . He tried to speak, and shouted with all his strength,
" I don't know what's going on , but one thing is certain : your life ends now. "
He tried to get up and reach Caster, but as soon as he stood, he fell again, weakened by the blood he had lost and his injured leg. He continued to struggle walking forward , step by step , until he finally lost consciousness due to the massive blood loss.
Caster was surprised when he saw David and said,
" Have you seen me ? Do you know who I am now? "
But David didn't respond, as he was unconscious.
Caster approached David, noticed the blood , and assumed he had fainted from the bleeding.
" Either he saw me, or he's an alpha. Either way , I'm going to save him. "
David had fallen on his stomach , so Caster turned him over onto his back to carry him to the car to give him first aid. As soon as he saw David's face, he recognized him, and said ,
" I'm sorry, David. I had to kill her because she knew. "
After taking David to the hospital, Caster went to a small country house deep in the forest , hidden from people.
He opened the door and entered. There was a ten-year-old girl sitting between a TV and a white sofa , playing chess against herself . The girl was strikingly pale, her skin was as white as cotton, from her hair to her toes. Her eyes were a blend of gray and baby blue.
She wore a white cloak that covered her entire body and most of her hair.
The girl's unusual skin color was due to a genetic condition called hypomelanosis.
The girl could tell what had happened just by looking at his expression . She remarked, " Another victim, right ?
" as she moved a pawn off the chessboard .
Caster responded ,
" I know what you're going to say , so there's no need to argue."
Still focused on the chessboard, she replied, " Why ? Does it bother you that you know I'm right ? Is it because I'm only 10 years old? Do you feel insulted by that? I'm curious— tell me. "
The girl looked directly into his eyes , waiting for an answer. Caster sat on the white sofa and replied in a calm voice,
" Yes. I'm a little bothered that I've repeated the same mistake four times ."
The girl smiled and then returned her focus to the chessboard .
"It's good that you've admitted it. That means you won't repeat it again. Using the chess pieces is useful , but neglecting them is not . "
Astonished , his eyes sparkled as he spoke to her intently,
" What was that feeling I just had?! What have you done ? I feel loyal to you, but what's even stranger is that I felt... how do I describe it... Do you know the anime Naruto? You watch it, so I'm sure you do. I felt like I was Naruto and you were Kurama... not exactly, but something similar.
