Chapter 101 - Doing the laundry

"Mrs. Martha holds the key," James said, his voice measured. "She was the late Mrs. Wright's most loyal servant, accompanying her into marriage and later becoming Miss Valerie's nanny."

James picked up a single paper. Scanning through it, he continued, "Then there's Grace, Mrs. Martha's daughter," James continued. "She was Miss Valerie's servant, and then graduated to her assistant for over seven years."

James emphasized, "They're loyal, but I sense Mrs. Martha might know more."

"Bring Mrs. Martha in," Greg instructed, his voice firm. "Discreetly. I want to know what she knows."

James nodded, though Greg couldn't see him. "I've already sent Alex to get her."

"And Valerie's twin sister?" Greg asked, his voice low. "How did she die?"

James rummaged through the scattered papers on the passenger seat, his fingers scanning the documents until he found the one he needed.
