Chapter 28 - CHAPTER 28 - Drinking in his Room (ONE)

"I like it," Hana said, looking around the room with a smile. "But I want you to sleep with me tonight." Thane's expression didn't change, and he nodded calmly. "Okay, I'll sleep with you." Hana was taken aback by his easy acceptance. She had expected him to hesitate or refuse, but he seemed completely unfazed.

"Really?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Thane nodded again. "Yes, really. Now, let's change so we can have dinner."

Hana's mind was reeling as Thane left her room. She couldn't believe he had agreed to sleep with her so easily. She had expected a fight, or at least some resistance. But Thane seemed to take it in stride, as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

She changed quickly, her heart racing with excitement and nerves. What did Thane's easy acceptance mean? Was he really okay with sleeping with her, or was he just humoring her?

As she left her room and joined Thane in the dining area, she couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What had she gotten herself into?

Hana wore really conservative pajamas, and this time, she made sure to wear a bra as well. As she sat at the table, Thane eyed her chest, but he didn't see her nipple outline, so he concluded that she was indeed wearing a bra. As soon as she sat down, Hana noticed where Thane's eyes were focused, and she blushed. "Let's start eating, shall we?" she called out to him, trying to distract him.

The maids brought in the food and left, and Hana looked at the table filled with dishes, wondering if they could finish it all. Thane served some food onto her plate and pecked her lips slightly to bring back her focus. Hana blushed again, feeling a flutter in her chest.

They ate in silence, the only sound being the clinking of utensils on plates. Hana couldn't help but steal glances at Thane, who was eating with a serious expression. She wondered what he was thinking, but didn't dare to ask.

As they finished their meal, Thane leaned back in his chair and looked at Hana with a satisfied smile. "That was delicious," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Hana smiled back, feeling a sense of relief that the meal was over. "Yes, it was," she agreed, her voice barely above a whisper. Thane's eyes seemed to bore into hers, as if he could see right through her. Hana felt a shiver run down her spine, and she looked away, breaking eye contact.

The silence between them grew thicker, and Hana didn't know what to say or do. She felt like she was waiting for something to happen, but didn't know what. Suddenly, Thane stood up and held out his hand to her. "Let's go to bed," he said, his voice low and husky.

Hana's heart skipped a beat as she took his hand, her palm touching his. She felt a spark of electricity run through her body, and she knew that she was in trouble.

Thane led Hana towards the staircase, his hand holding hers firmly. As they climbed the stairs, he told a maid who was passing by to bring two wine goblets to his room.

When they reached his room, Thane opened the door for Hana to enter. She stepped inside, her eyes widening as she took in the surroundings. The walls were painted a dark grey, and the furniture was black, giving the room a sleek and modern look.

Hana couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the luxury that surrounded her. She had never seen anything like it before. Downstairs, the workers were all shocked. They had never seen the master bring any woman home, let alone a human. And now, he was taking her to his room? It was unheard of.

As Hana looked around the room, she noticed a large bed in the center, with a black duvet cover and grey pillows. There was also a desk in the corner, with a chair behind it. And on the walls, there were several paintings, all of them abstract and modern.

Thane's room was dimly lit, with only a few soft lights illuminating the space. The bed had grey sheets and a duvet, and Hana could see a maid entering the room with a goblet.

"Ah, perfect timing," Thane said, getting up to retrieve a bottle of wine from the wine cabinet in his room. "We're drinking to your graduation, Hana. A toast to your success." He poured her a glass of wine and handed it to her. Hana took a sip, and her eyes widened in surprise. "This is delicious!" she exclaimed.

Thane smiled, pleased that she liked it. "I'm glad you approve," he said. "Have another glass." Hana did, and another, and another. She couldn't get enough of the wine, and Thane was happy to oblige. They talked and laughed together, the wine flowing freely.

As the night wore on, Hana started to feel a little lightheaded. She had never drunk so much wine before, but she couldn't help herself. It was just so good! Thane seemed to sense her intoxication and took the glass away from her. "Maybe you've had enough," he said with a smile.

But Hana was insistent. "No, no, I want more!" she said, pouting. Thane chuckled and handed her another glass. "Okay, but just one more," he said. Hana drank the whole glass, and then looked at Thane with a mischievous grin. "I think I've had enough," she said, her voice slurring slightly.

Thane laughed and took the glass away from her. "I think you have too," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. As the night wore on, Hana started to feel more and more relaxed. She was having the time of her life, and she couldn't believe how much fun she was having with Thane.

That night, Hana suddenly asked for more wine. Thane told her it was getting too much, that she was going to have a hangover. But Hana insisted, saying that the wine had great quality and she wanted to enjoy it.

Thane relented, but he still wanted to talk to her about his father and Sapphire. He was ready to spill the beans, to tell her the truth about his family's dark past.

"Hana, my father tried to violate your mother because the source of his power is pregnant women's blood," Thane said, his voice laced with sadness. "He killed my ex, Sapphire, because she was a witch and the feud between witches and werewolves is well known. He couldn't stand the thought of his son, the greatest hybrid, being with a mere witch, so he burnt her alive."

Thane recalled the events, looking so sad that Hana's heart went out to him. She stood up, walked up to him drowsily, and kissed him. Then, she held his face and asked him to forget his past, telling him that she was his present.

Thane was taken aback by Hana's words, but he felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He realized that he had been carrying around the burden of his family's secrets for too long, and it was time to let go. "Thank you, Hana," Thane said, his voice filled with emotion. "Thank you for understanding me, for being my rock."

Hana smiled and kissed him again, this time with more passion. Thane responded, wrapping his arms around her and deepening the kiss, as they kissed, Thane felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that he had found his soulmate in Hana, and he was grateful for her love and support.
