Chereads / My Record Of Civilization / Chapter 7 - The If Only Episode

Chapter 7 - The If Only Episode

I took another look at my bone and it remained the same improper fracture.

How the heck could one bash from him dislocate my body?!

My eyes peered over to who was responsible for this pain I was going through.

He looked?... In an accurate description; close to how a pig would look if they could stand on two feet and had the proportional feature of a gym freak.

That seems about right for his description.

"What is that!".

I retort, annoyed and in agony.

An Orc! A Member Of The Orcish Specie, A Specie Under The Deaman Race

"What! That is a Deaman?!".

It makes no sense. I thought I was supposed to be stronger than a Deaman?!

No wait. I thought in this world, size was not supposed to matter in a fight?!

Then what the hell is this all about?!

My mind was befuddled. The agonizing pain throbbing on my right dislocated shoulder did not allow me to think straight.

The so-called Orc took advantage of the state of confusion I was in.

For him, it was the best opportunity to put me down without me resisting.

Relic Theophilus Alderman. If You Do Not Act Now, You Will Die

"You think I don't tha- Crap!".

The orc clenched his fist and as he got to me, he delivered a body blow straight to my gut.

I spat out drawing liquid as I squinted my face in distress. His fist picked up my body and tossed me to the nearby tree.

My spine crashed into the tree at the centre, and I fell to the ground.

My whole body trembled in aching torment. For someone like me who had little to do with pain, this was pure hell.

The pain opened up my brain and a lot of thoughts flooded my mind.

I started to wonder what the heck I was doing here?!

Why should I have to be here going through this damned hassle when I could have simply continued my normal peaceful life on Earth.

Fuck! Why did I have to die?! Why can't that damned bus driver do his damned job well enough?!

If it had not been for the bus accident, I would have still been alive. If I had not died, the voice would have had no reason to pick me.

So why?! Why?! Why?!

The intense throbbing from my dislocated shoulder as well as my aching muscles, brought about an anger that knew no limits.

Use-

I loathed everything and everyone and cursed all those who were involved in bringing me to where I am now. And especially, I cursed myself for ever looking forward to another day in this fucked up place.

Then I realized that at the end of it all, the fault circled back to me.

For-

If only I hadn't gone on to that excursion! If I had just made up some kind of excuse to stay at home.

Fuck!

Fuck! This is a shitty circumstance I have brought myself into.

Relic Theophilus Alderman, Infuse Your Force To Subside The Aching Pain And Stand Your Ground

The voice that had been trying to get to me the whole time finally came through to me.

Right! I had that so-called Force energy to enhance my physical state with.

It had slipped my mind since I was yet to get used to the thought of having an instant physical ability boost.

The infusion process came to me as naturally as it could.

My body's physical state was elevated by several times my base capability. The body ache and shoulder throbbing also eased down by a considerable lot.

The effect was indeed magnificent, taking me from weak, hurt, and defenceless to strong, agile, and endurance-enhanced.

I bit my lower lip as I strained my right shoulder and popped the dislocated bone back to its required position.

It wasn't painful and I felt at ease doing so. Such is the effect of force infusion.

Now that I had my arm back, it was time to pay the fucking pig five times what I had to go through.

I tilted my head toward the Orc and saw him charging toward me.

Unlike before, his movement looked slower. Not feel slower, looked.

"Must be because I am enhanced now".

I thought to myself as my vision visualized him moving very slowly. Not only that.

For some reason I had yet to be aware of, the surroundings felt clearer to me and I could see a very far distance compared to what I was capable of before the force infusion.

Another anomaly to be drawn out is how my eyes peered through the Orc's innards. Past the outer layer of the skin to see through the bones and inner organs.

"Uhu!...".

I wondered what was going on. I didn't think I had any transparent glasses worn on my eyes.

It was the only thing I could think of to trigger this effect.

Regardless! I had no time to waste contemplating that.

Though slower in my eyes, the Orc was drawing nearer. And it is not as though his speed decreased. It just looked like it did.

I can see better and I have transparent visuals. That mattered, and it looked helpful so no complaint there.

Whatever complaint there is to be had will be dealt with after I come out alive from my encounter with the Orc.

That is what I decided on as it would be crucial at this very moment to expend all my attention to the fight if I want an assured survival.
