The ride back to the headquarters has been quiet. Even JJ can't make them speak with his failed attempt to initiate a conversation and playing some hip hop to liven the mood. He's given up because it feels like Wendy isn't even in this world and her mind has gone somewhere else.
Angelo has tried to console her but to no avail, she doesn't even glance his way. She's sitting up front which is strange because she doesn't sit at the front and both she and Angelo sat at the back on their way to the San Diego pier. Angelo has given up, for now. He's not going to stop apologizing and he's not changed his mind on telling Wendy that he's gay.
