Chapter 2 - Prologue

She ran through the forest, as fast as her feet could take her. She cried as she kept running but she couldn't stop, not here, not now. She didn't want to die, she wasn't ready to die but she knew that no matter how hard she fought to survive, the outcome was only going to be the same.

She looked back and saw the people coming towards her with flaming touches and swords and she picked up her pace.

Fear, she reeked of fear. How the almighty has fallen, except that she was never almighty. She was nothing, and she was going to die the same way.

She tripped on a branch, and fell flat on the ground hitting her leg on a stone, causing it to crack. She held her leg with one hand, and her mouth with the other hand, muffling her scream. She was going to die, there was no escape.

There was no use struggling to survive, it was already set, and everything was predestined, this was her fate. Closing her eyes she laid back on the forest ground and waited for death to come.

After some moments, in the midst of the shouts from her attackers, she began to hear a voice.

"Death" The voice said.

She shook as she heard the voice. Goosebumps, formed allover her body and she knew something worse, was coming.

"Death!"

"Death!!"

At every passing minute, the voice became louder, until it suddenly stopped. Then she heard a clear voice, as smooth as honey, filled with power and authority, call out to her.

"Awaken!"

She screamed as she closed her ears, trying to fight the force she couldn't see. Her body began to burn, the flames began to consume her life and soul, and her screams became louder.

She rolled on the floor, trying to put out the flames, but they were coming from within her. She shook her head trying to ignore the chants that now consumed her every being.

"Who hears our voice and refuses to obey?

Who hears our words and refuses to heed?

We are one

We are strong

A sunbeam to warm you

A moonbeam to charm you

And may the curse make us one!"

She fell unto her knees as she lost every trace of humanity. The last thing she remembered was, tearing the last man to pieces.
