The blond man let out a sinister smile. Despite his life on a thin line, he didn't seem threatened. Almost as if he had anticipated this situation.
"Your highness? What are you talking about? Assult of nobilities? What I did was simply self-defense. You should ask these people."
Franc stare eerily at the nobles who bawled their eyes at their relatives who became victims of the bloodbath.
"Forget it. Talking to you is a lost cause. Just die a quiet death."
"Mmh, sure. Behead me if you fancy so, Your Highness. I have one request though."
The prince strengthens his sword as the dying Duke rummages his pocket to pull out a glowing blue stone with strange symbols written in it.
"A rune stone with spells?! What are you trying to pull here?"
"No need to be so alarmed. It's a reincarnation stone."
The Prince looked at him with bewilderment.
"A…Reincarnation stone?"
Franc broke the stone and blue aura began to envelop him.
"It's not hard to get, especially with your status. That is, if you ever want one."
A crowd began to form around both of them. Perhaps sensing the suspicious aura on the villain. The nobles in vicinity began to grow anxious.
