Winter had arrived, and snow was everywhere, covering parts of the roads and houses in the area. The trees, once green, had turned white as their leaves were blanketed by cold water vapor like cotton. Almost every house had a heater, but today, one house in the area was in an uproar because its heater was broken and hadn't been fixed, causing a commotion on this cold morning.
"I've told you for days now, fix the heater immediately. But you act like you're deaf, not listening to what I say. How many times must I remind you before you forget again? It's like what I ask isn't important to anyone in this house."
A woman's angry voice rang out in the cold morning air as she complained to her husband, who was always so indifferent and stiff. Adding to the chaos was the whining of a young child asking for food because he was hungry.
"Where's my food? I'm starving," whined a six-year-old boy from the dining table.
