" accept it "
"NO!"
"Just once"
"I said no"
At the constant refusals of the glaring pinkette, who had her wand pointed at his head, Richard couldn't help but feel frustrated.
Everything went smoothly at first. He was able to stun her without a commotion or any sorts of disturbance. She was not even able to make a whimper. Then he was also able to easily get into her clothes, then inspect the metamorphmagus's body to grasp some understanding about its workings quite easily.
And then, all went to hell. Somehow, she had managed to dispel the said charm right his moment of concentration, attacking him with a disarming charm followed by a full body binding spell. Richard simply stood no chance.
Richard was never afraid of loosing. Everyone is bound to loose at some point. What's important is getting back up again after loosing, and what he learned from it. Unfortunately this mentality doesn't apply to his current situation.
He lost his wand. And so, he lost his rights to the wand. The ownership of a wand is no simple matter. The wands have their own soul. And their defeat sticks more permanently, becoming a part of the wand, just like every spell that leave its tip.
Reaching out for his wand that laid further away from him, in the hands of the pinket, Richard was unable to feel the familiar hum of power that had accompanied him throughout these few months. Instead it felt as if the humming was muffled by something.
The right by conquest. That's how wands change their ownership. As seen clearly with the case of the death stick, the right to wield a wand by conquering its user is ancient magic.
Uncontrollable, yet powerful. Now, normal wands don't usually adhere to this concept strictly since the wands themselves had chosen their partners. However, they do follow it that a minimum level, as seen in the case where Harry had to replace his broken wand with one he acquired from Malfoy.
The conquered wand bends it's will towards the conqueror, and there itself like the problem. He, although partially, had lost his right to wield his own wand and magic. It felt as if something invisible had chained him down. Although faint, and easilly suppressible, it still existed in him and his wand.
That's why even though he could easily break free of the full body binding curse, he had chosen to remain captured, while trying his best to convince his captor to engage him in a wizard duel. Who much to his frustration, seemed intent on denying him of his duel.
With no other choice in his hands, Richard decided to use force.
'CRACK'
The body binding spell broke as Richard used Od before pouncing onto the prefect, his right grabbing at her throat while the left hand grabbed at his wand.
Nymphadora Tonks was taken aback by sudden development. One moment, her captive was under her wand, and the next thing she knew, she had fallen onto her back, while the crafty little gremlin crawled onto her, straddling her, while grabbing her throat and his own at the same time.
She tried to scream but was suddenly found myself unable to make any noise.
silencio
" Listen here closely woman" the boy growled as as the hand on her neck tightened. "I said this before, and I'm gonna say this now. So you better take this seriously. You are gonna have a duel with me, a wizard duel. Right here, right now". Though she couldn't speak, her eyes showed blazed with defiance.
Richard checked his connection to its own magic, only to feel the block still existing. 'As I thought' he contemplated as he pointed the wand at his captive aggressively. 'She needs to acknowledge her defeat from her heart. Just pushing her down isn't enough'.
If Richard doesn't find a way to remove this binding, then it is bound to hinder his future. In other words, he had to conquer Tonks. And the easiest and the quickest method, was to defeat her in a wizard duel.
"I'm gonna remove the spell so we can speak clearly so don't scream or else, I'm gonna permanently shut you up. "
He said looking at her for confirmation before taking down the spell.
"what do you want" Tonks questioned aggressively as Richard walked away from her, showing no fear at all. Richard didn't speak at first, instead transfigured the earth under their feet into two wooden chairs, before sitting on the one closest to him.
"take a seat"
The girl seemed reluctant, forcing him to point his wand at her before insisting this time with the bit more force. He did not have any time for her shenanigans.
" I said.. take a seat"
This time, she sat on the transfigured chair, facing him .
"let's make a deal" Richard said as he looked at his captive square in her eyes. "Duel, between you and me with no restrictions except for the three unforgiveable spells and using physical attacks. if you win, you can ask anything from me. And if I win you're going to keep your mouth shut about what happened today ," then added afterwards "And let me finish doing what I was doing with your body".
She shot up to her feet instantaneously. " I AM NOT LETTING A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD CREEP ASSAULT ME!_"
"ASSAULT YOU? " Richard was dumbfounded for a second before realising the cause of the misunderstanding. "Hold on, I didn't do that."
"Yeah!?, then what were you doing with your hand inside my shirt"
"I... I did not assault you. I was just doing some important research..no wait, that came out wrong! " Realising that he could not simply explain his activities to her without causing any misunderstandings at the moment, he decided to choose an evasive approach.
" I will tell you about it, if you manage to win the duel"
which prompted her to refuse his deal. Or she would've if Richard hadn't pointed his wand at her. All pretences of friendliness gone like dew in the morning sun.
"It seems that you are still labouring under the illusion of having a choice. You either do what I tell you to do or I use memory charms to wipe that noggin of yours clean. And, just for your information, I don't have enough experience to know what memories I need to erase. But I am certain enough of my skill to wipe any memory within a week to a few years.... depending on your luck "
Richard threatened truthfully. If he was proficient in memory charms, then he would not have gotten into the current predicament he was in right now, and things would have been a lot more easier.
Unfortunately, practising memory charms require live subjects, and he didn't have any at hand.
"Oh, really?" The prefect didn't seem intimidated. Tonks looked at the kid infront of her with disdain. What could a second year do to her? . While she was a bit taken aback by the skill in charms the perverse kid had demonstrated, she strongly doubted the his claims on knowing memory charms. This was probably a sick prank, the girls from her year had arranged.
" I would like to see you try_" Tonks began to reply with heat only to close her mouth in silence as Richard pointed his wand and blowing the earth next to her with a silent 'bombarda'
"You better not underestimate me" Richard turned towards her with a cold expression on his face "I am much more than what meets the eye"
Richard pointed his wand back at Tonks surprised face." so what's your decision. Are you gonna pick up your wand and face me like the wizard, or do you want to spend the next few months in Saint Mungo?"
" Fine, I'll do it" replying with shaky voice, Tonks went to pick up her wand. Even though she wanted to act a bit more arrogantly, she was deeply shaken within. And why wouldn't she be?
The 'bombara' was an OWL's level spell, something she had not mastered yet. And the spell was strong enough to blow whatever was at it's recieving end into smithereens, leaving only a handful of dust.
Even though she was not a part of the sacred family, her mother who hailed from the ancient and the noble Black family had told her enough nightmarish stories about dark wizards and witches . "he's definitely a dark wizard" she thought as she went bent over to pick up fallen wand.
'otherwise there's no way second year can use spells at that level'
she thought, still shaken from the casual demonstration of power. She could only thank all her lucky stars for being able to to disarm him when she was able to.
Standing up, she turned to glance at her diminutive opponent who was dressed in a cloak fitting a second year student. She had no clue as to what type of ritual this wizard had done to achieve such diminutive and young figure, but she was not curious to loose her head for being curious.
" How do I know, that you will let me go?"
she asked, only for him to smirk. "What? who said anything about letting you go? Like I said before, it doesn't matter whether you win or not. However, if you win... I promise not kill you, or erase your memory. If you loose however..." he paused for a bit of dramatic effect"... we'll see about that then."
Richard had replied because he had no intention of letting Tonks blab about him and his secrets to the house the teachers or anybody else for that matter. No he intended to keep her in a tight leash. However that had reminded him of something he should do later, something he pushed into the back of his mind before concentrating at the moment, on his Ironwood and dragon heartstring wand.
"Swish!"
Richard and Nymphadora brought their wands up simultaneously up to their face level before turning back and taking seven feet back with unison. Cloaks rustled as they bought their wands towards eachother swiftly, each of them falling into their most comfortable stances.
"expellaramas"
" protego"
" Mobilli Corpus"
They both cast spells, Richard following up his shield charm with a second spell, making Tonks dodge with a small tumble, though whether the action was conscious or not remained skeptic.
"Diffindo"
"Petrificus Totalus"
"Tallentengra"
Tonks took offence as she moved her wand in fluid gestures in the air as she fired hex over hex. She even sneaked in a silent stunner from moment to moment, demonstrating her abilities in practical magic.
'She has quite the talent' Richard thought as he used hid wand to flick a bolt of red light before dodging another. 'Maybe I should give some credit to Hogwarts' a smirk made up to his face as he silently reviewed the prefect's skill. Then he jumped back to avoid a freezing spell which followed a conjured ball of water.
'Clever girl, but not clever enough'
After experiencing her stubborn nature, Richard understood that Tonks would not accept a direct defeat, not until she knew that she had no hopes of winning. So Richard decided to go on defence. Let her exhaust all her means and see the inevitability of her own defeat. However, he was pleasantly suprised to see the skill Tonks possessed.
"Little prat!! , stop dancing around, and let me hit you for once"
Startled by the sudden outburst, Richard looked at his opponent only to see her face completely red. Specially her hair, which had literally changed color to bright red.
It was a funny sight to be honest. The prefect had her hair all dishevelled, Robes askew and her body trembling as it held up the wand shakily. However Richard did not laugh. Within the five minutes time, Richard had dodged nearly hundred charms, spell or hexes. Not counting the indirect ones. And yet she was still standing. She reminded Richard of a typical shounen mc who plows through problems with their sheer stupidity and will power. The type of people who can pull a power up through some turn in their ass.
'Did the story really try to change the genre, just to deal with me?'
He suddenly realised something. If he did consider his position, then he might as well be the demon Lord, in the story. Or at least a minor boss like a demon general while Tonks carried the character of an unyielding hero. He felt the power of the story, the same power the ROB wielded, borrowing strength from countless other worlds that carried the same troupe, as it tried to tip the scales to its balance. He even felt the world trying to influence him to perform a monologue like any second rate villain.
'HOW DARE YOU!'
-----------------------------------------------______________________________
Tonks aimed her wand wearily. She had used every single useful spell she had learnt through her five years in Hogwarts, but she still didn't phase the wizard infront of her. She held the contempt at bay, as she didn't want her opponent to go on the offence. If his skills in offence matched his skills in defence.. that would place her in a very difficult situation.
'Hippogriff shit!!'
She silently cursed as the boy shaped dark lord simply side step her combination spell.
'Is he a seer or something?'
She could only think of vague solutions as she grew tired mentally. Not just mentally, the rapid wand movements, sudden body moves and all her other tries at physically confusing him had driven her exhausted.
"Little prat!! , stop dancing around, and let me hit you for once"
She yelled suddenly, hoping to make him talk, maybe stop... anything to keep him from attacking her until she could recover at least a little. She could feel a plan forming in the back of her mind.
Looking at her opponent, Tonks realised that her taunt had worked. Her opponent had stopped.
' Now, just walk towards me like a good little munchkin , and I promise not to hurt you too bad'
She thought as she kept her left hand hidden under her cloak. Since she couldn't beat him in magic, Tonks decided to beat him physically. Somehow, her weary mind had come up with the crazy plan to turn her entire left arm into a snake, something beyond what she ever thought possible. Till now, she had been able to transform her body parts to their equivalents, not entire creatures. And the even crazier part, was that she felt that she could actually achieve it.
'Rattle snakes aren't that poisonous right?' She wondered for a moment as she thought her options. 'I'm sure they only have a weak paralysing poison' she assured herself, completely forgetting the possible lethality of Rattle snake venom and also the fact that she was not at all familiar with medical spells at the very moment. Her left hand slowly grew scales as it transformed into a Rattle snake, but suddenly froze before turning back to a delicate human hand.
Tonks had forgotten her plans, her body frozen in sheer terror she was experiencing. She could Instead she stared helplessly looking at terror of the demon that had shed its human skin.
