At the same time, there was the sound of large and very hurried footsteps in another part of the world. The pace got faster. The man that wearing a modern black suit continued to speed up his steps. Occasionally he adjusts his long black tie. Even though he knew no one would notice the tie because it was the same color as the shirt and jacket he was wearing. He opened the door that was in front of him. He entered the empty room and immediately cast the spell "Morven." Which made him disappear and appear in a dusty and dark old castle. In that castle the man continued to walk quickly and almost ran. He saw a room he was heading towards. The room was right on the top floor of the old building, which looked like a castle. The man opened the door hastily, surprising everyone in the room.
"Can't you open it more slowly Gallahan?!" said one of several people in the room, named Brooks.
"You wouldn't tell me to slow down if you knew what happened." Gallahan walked quickly towards the front table.
"You know this is Darkness's place, you should be more polite and just look at your clothes. Is it appropriate for you to dress like an ordinary human like that in this place?!" said Brooks again, not wanting to lose.
"But you-"
"Enough." Gallahan's words were interrupted by Mayes. Everyone fell silent. After Darkness fell, Mayes was the one who led them and was also the strongest. Mayes, immediately turned around.
"I hope there is a reasonable explanation for your behavior because I really don't want to hear nonsense." Mayes warned.
"O-of course." Gallahan said a little scared. Gallahan walked slowly towards Favius. "I-I see the chosen one." Gallahan replied and made the whole room become noisy. The fifteen people in the room started talking to each other. Mayes raised his right hand, signaling everyone to be quiet. Then suddenly the room was quiet again. The room looked like a sea of black because the people there were wearing black clothes.
"What do you mean by the chosen one?" asked Mayes who looked closely at Gallahan. His sharp eyes made those he looked at, afraid as if they were being swallowed alive.
"T-t—that's…" Gallahan stammered.
"Speak clearly!!" Pete snapped. Gallahan started to break out in cold sweat. His thin hands started to tremble. He sighed.
"Of all the people on our list, one person has been confirmed. All the members we sent there confirmed it." Gallahan explained. Everyone looked at each other but remained silent.
"What makes you sure it's the chosen one? It could just be an ordinary witch." Brooks stared in disbelief.
"Because the girl is on the list of ordinary humans and according to testimony, the girl can do magic. I have confirmed it too." He said, looking confident.
"But is that possible? From the story, all the chosen ones died along with their power." Pete started talking. From his eyes it could be seen that he was afraid.
"That's right. But I also watched her defeat all our people without even casting any spells. And the girl's house is closely guarded by Knirer." Gallaham looked so sure.
"Mayes, if that's true, that means we can free Darkness from the curse and if we succeed then we will get recognition from-"
Before Brooks had finished speaking, Mayes stood up and walked away from the crowd. His mouth mumbled to himself. His brain was thinking hard. He knew that if what Gallahan was talking about was true, Darkness would be able to rise again and the whole world would belong to the Darken. Mayes walked back and forth then suddenly stopped. His eyes went to one point, namely to someone who was in a block of ice. The person was seen wearing black clothes and his face could not be seen clearly. As if hypnotized, Mayes continued to stare at the person. Mayes then turned around. His eyes turned to the people who had been staring at him and waiting for his decision.
"Immediately capture the chosen one and bring her here. Alive. Whatever it takes."
Several people immediately started to leave the room after hearing Mayes's order.
"But before that." Mayes's sudden words made them stop in their steps. "Search for a spell to break Disprea's protection. As soon as possible." Those last words made everyone freeze in place staring at Mayes. They didn't understand what Mayes really wanted. Capture the Choosen one or enter Disprea.
"What are you waiting for, dumbass?! Go, hurry!!!" Brooks snapped.
"Wait!! One more thing." Mayes stopped those people in their tracks again." No one must know about the Choosen one has return. No one. All of you should keep it tight. If one of you tells the other. I will kill you with my own hands." Mayes's burning eyes looked at the people in the room one by one. Everyone left the room except Mayes and his two right-hand men, Brooks and Pete.
"But Mayes, why the secret and why are they trying to enter Disprea? We've agreed not to cause them any more trouble for the time being." Pete looked confused.
"Everyone knows all along that Darkness kills all the chosen. How do you think Darkness's reputation will be when he wakes up if everyone knows Darkness has failed to kill everyone? They will side with the chosen one. Certainly. And you think the chosen one is still in that house? That's not possible. I believe and am very sure that the chosen one has been moved to a safe place where no one can touch her. Disprea is the perfect place for that. Immediately prepare a large army. I'm sure we need them. This is our chance to free Darkness and put dark magic back in leading." Mayes smiled sarcastically. He knew the dreams of all black magic would come true again.
At another place...
"Don't say you guys are waiting for a chosen one like me to save the world. Are you writing a novel? Or making a film? About a magical world that is in chaos and only the chosen one who can save your world." Hardik Keyra. Darius smiled.
"It's not completely right or wrong. The wizarding world… was fine, before you came."
"You mean? I am the one who caused your world to be destroyed?"
"Not like that. Being the chosen one is not easy. There are several groups who will targeting you.
"what do you mean?"
"The power of the chosen is enormous. Of course, there will be people who use your power for their own purposes. Some will try to kill you, so that you will not be able to control them."
"Wow, you are really very frank."
"Would you feel better if I lied?"
Keyra shook her head quickly. "Certainly not. Moreover, why did you and your people choose me to be the chosen one? I think there are many witch out there who are much more deserving and talented."
"Yeah, yeah... that's right. You're right, Keyra. There are many talented witch out there and I can assure you, no one chose you to be the chosen one. Me and other Elders."
"Elder?" Keyra frowned.
"Elder is the name for the elders of our people, Aeshu. Usually Elders help lead and organize our people, which should be done by the Chosen One. Due to the absence of the Chosen One, the Elder took over."
"Okay, whatever. If no one chose me, then why am I the chosen one?"
"Because that power chose you. An ancient power that now resides within you." Darius' words made Keyra even more confused. "If you ask why, I don't know either. But according to history books, records and even historical witnesses, this power is passed down from generation to generation but randomly and only that power chooses which descendant is worthy to take it."
"Okaaayyy.... this is very strange and doesn't make sense. What if you knew that I had that power? I could be an ordinary witch. It's absolutely impossible for you to follow my family through generations and what does that have to do with my father's death?!"
"Oh we don't know. Almost no one even knows if the Chosen One still exists. But everything changed when your father died. As I said, your ancestor cast an ancient spell that turned all his descendants, who were supposed to be witch, into ordinary humans. Their powers were sealed and their auras were disguised. They cannot do magic, feel anything related to magic and the supernatural. All of this is done so that the powers do not choose their descendants. But of course, there are conditions. The offspring must die naturally. Like accidents, illnesses, murders by ordinary people too."
Keyra was stunned. "But... my father died in an accident."
Darius took a deep breath then shook his head. "No, Keyra. Your father was killed by Darken."
"No!! That's not possible. I saw his body and the police... the police also said he had an accident!"
"Nothing is impossible in the world of magic. Ahh one I think. Bringing the dead back to life. But your father was really killed by Darken. It was also my fault and my stupidity. Yes, I'm to blame. If only I had known sooner, perhaps I could still have saved him." Darius looked up at the sky covered with lush trees. His eyes looked far away.
Keyra chuckled, she couldn't believe what she heard. So far her life has been fine. Her father loved adventure. He's always traveling. But he was killed by a witch? Which has nothing to do with his normal life? It's really unreasonable. Her tears suddenly fell without her being able to hold them back. All this time, he always held back his tears. Even from the moment he found out his father died until this moment, he only cried once. Keyra quickly wiped her tears.
"I know, this is hard for you." Darius said again. "But as the saying goes, whatever is hidden, it will definitely be revealed. Your father investigated the supernatural world. My guess is, from all his adventures and going to several places, he knows the fact that the supernatural is real and then investigates it."
"But... But why do they want us dead?" Keyra held her head which was starting to hurt.
"Oh no Keyra. Quite the opposite. They will make sure you live."
Keyra frowned. "What do you mean?"
"They will make sure you live and make sure the powers choose the descendants of your family. They need the power of the break the curse of someone who should not be free. So they will look after your family until the Chosen One returns." Darius paused for a moment. He looked down at his hands. "My guess..." he continued. "They don't know that your father is a descendant of the Chosen One and that your father has internal problems with Darken, whatever it is. Only they know."
"Now they know... Who am I? Isn't that dangerous for my family? I have to be with them. They will harm my family!" Keyra stood up and started to move but after only a few steps her legs couldn't move. She tried to move as hard as she could, but to no avail. She knows that Darius has done his magic on.
"Let me go!" Keyra asked in a low and firm voice.
"Forgive me. I'm really sorry. I won't let it happen." Darius was still sitting where he was.
"My family is in danger!!" Keyra screamed.
"We will not le it happend. We have been on guard since the incident occurred. They are still fine and I promise they will still be fine."
Keyra doesn't care. She was still trying to escape.
"If you want to meet your family, master and learn your strengths. Take control of it. That's the only way you can avoid hurting them."
Keyra frowned. "What... What do you mean? I couldn't possibly hurt them. They are my family!"
"Maybe you won't hurt them but your power will (walks closer to Keyra) Listen to me carefully. The greater the power, the greater the risk. Your power is very big. If you don't immediately master and control it, you will hurt the people closest to you."
"And let them hurt my family?"
"We have placed the best knirers twenty-four hours to protect your family. Maybe we can protect your family from them, the Darkens. But we can't protect them from you."
"What do you mean?"
"I know, even really understand this is very difficult. I really understand, you don't want any of this to happen. But you should-"
"Then take it." Cut Keyra. "Take this power. I don't want it."
"I wish I could. If I could, I would have done this a long time ago. But I can't do that because you are bound to that power."
"Bound?"
"Yes, bound. Only death can separate you." Kerya became increasingly confused by Darius' words. "The way to release that power is if you die. If you die intentionally or accidentally, that power will die with you. But if you remove that power from your body before you die, then you will still die because that power has already merged with you now. You can only live if that power is within you. That's the chosen law. I know this is very hard to accept. But try it. We will help you with all our might."
Keyra stared in disbelief. After accepting the truth about that power, then knowing the truth about his father death and now she has to die in order to release that power? This is crazy
