Chapter 166: Sweating Profusely
Facing pairs of envious green eyes, Du Qianjue snorted coldly, casting a displeased glance at Ma Xiaotao.
So, you're the troublemaker, huh?
The fourth phase has arrived, and I bet you won't dare to steal a bride!
If you don't steal, you can't bother me. But if you do, you'll fall right into my trap!
Watch how I deal with you later!
As for those green-eyed male students, Du Qianjue wasn't concerned about them. It wasn't that he looked down on them, but even if all thirteen Soul Saints teamed up, he could still handle them with ease!
Du Qianjue's shark-like gaze didn't seem to pressure Ma Xiaotao; instead, she flirtatiously smiled and winked at him.
His fists clenched in frustration.
Xue LingLong, somewhat amused, watched Du Qianjue gritting his teeth. She sensed that he might be on the verge of awakening some formidable hidden ability.
Unfamiliar with Earth's culture, she didn't know that this was a sign of Du Qianjue possibly awakening his "Kung Fu Soul." His thoughts? Women? It's time to fight!
"Given how popular Junior Du is, with ten sea god fairies choosing him, let's save his part for last," Gongyang Mo suggested with a smile.
No one objected.
The grand drama should always come last, keeping the suspense alive with all its twists!
"Now, student Cheng Xing, the third sea god fairy has chosen you. Will you join hands with her for life, never to part?" Han Ruoruo asked loudly.
Cheng Xing looked down at the gentle sea god fairy Wan Rou beside him, his eyes full of love.
"Our meeting was a mere coincidence, but as we spent time together, I found I couldn't live without her. If I could spend my life with her, that would be my greatest happiness," Cheng Xing said, taking Wan Rou's hand gently.
"I am willing," responded Ruoruo with a nod, then turned to Wan Rou, "And you, third sea god fairy, are you willing to stay by Cheng Xing's side forever?"
"I am willing!" Wan Rou exclaimed joyfully, leaping into Cheng Xing's arms.
"May you have a century of happiness together!" Ruoruo and Gongyang Mo congratulated, "Congratulations, Cheng Xing and Wan Rou!"
Prearranged fireworks soared into the sky, blossoming into beautiful colors that eventually formed a heart-shaped pattern of flying birds.
Beneath the fireworks, the shining eyes of Cheng Xing and Wan Rou held only each other.
"Thank you!"
The couple left hand in hand, with no one attempting to steal the bride, their mutual affection allowing them to become each other's lifelong partners.
"Next, student Dai Yueheng, the fourth sea god fairy has chosen you. Are you willing to grow old with her, heart to heart?" Gongyang Mo asked.
Dai Yueheng glanced at the charming Yang Liu before him, a flicker of regret in his eyes.
Yang Liu saw his look and felt her hopes extinguished, her face turning pale.
"I'm sorry, Yang Liu, I have my reasons. You will find someone better suited to you," Dai Yueheng said with a bitter smile.
"I am not willing," he declared.
The words struck Yang Liu like a hammer, tears falling as she bowed her head and left the scene without looking back.
Her fragile figure in a white dress vanished into the night, the brilliant girl now seeming so forlorn.
Dai Yueheng shook his head wryly and walked away from the lake, no longer wishing to stay.
Perhaps in a few days, he would return to the Star Luo Empire to join his father, Dai Hao, on the frontier.
The military was his ultimate destiny, not marriage.
Dai Yueheng's resignation perfectly illustrated that lovers do not always end up together.
Disappointed, he pondered where to lick his wounds.
The experiences of Dai Yueheng and Yang Liu, a stark portrayal of unfulfilled love, weighed heavily on the other students.
The next two couples, fortunately, met no obstacles and were happily united under the hosts' blessings.
Then, it was Du Qianjue's turn to face the dramatic climax.
All eyes turned to Han Ruoruo as she prepared to unveil this conflict-filled drama.
"Student Du Qianjue, you now have ten sea god fairies before you," Han Ruoruo began with a smile. "How will you choose?"
"Considering several have offered to be lesser partners, though our tradition is for each man to leave with only one fairy, your case, Junior Du, may be an exception," Gongyang Mo added with a quirky smile.
"If you wish, and the fairies agree, you can take more than one with you."
Clearly, Han Ruoruo and Gongyang Mo had received a message from Yan Shaozhe.
Though it pained him to see many of his students willing to support Du Qianjue, for the sake of Shrek Academy's future, Yan Shaozhe had made his decision.
He secretly hoped Du Qianjue would take several fairies, strengthening the bond with Shrek.
Meanwhile, the male students moaned in jealousy. Initially envious of the women willing to be lesser partners for Du, they had restrained themselves, thinking only one could leave with him.
And now, they were told he might take several?
As all eyes focused on Du Qianjue, he was sweating profusely...
