Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25.. THE D-DAY

The day was indeed bright, and the sky was beautifully blue, revealing a pretty nice weather.

It was 9am already, and a very busy morning as the staffs wee busy working. The day has finally come when Mr and Mrs Cameron Edwardo will go on their "honey moon". The chefs were setting up breakfast on thearge dinning table, the helps were busy cleaning the house, the guards were arranging the luggages of the couples in their convoyd, the families if the both couples were already tropping in one after the other to bade their children goodbye and wish them well.

Lexa was sitted in her room, facing her large mirror on her dressing table as the makeup artists did their work.

She sat silently as she watched the hairstylist work on her hair, the makeup artist do her thing k. Jet fsve ebete some scars that haven't healed yet we're visibily seen as the makeup artist tried her best to cover it up, the fashion designer was also busy sorting out a dress for Lexa to wear, matching heels and jewelries. If there was any day Lexa feared the most, it was Today.

She had cried, prayed and tried her best to make this day not to come but here it is finally, at this pontall hope was lost. It was all pointless as she made peace within herself that a miracle can't happen anymore. No one was there to save her in the wedding day, a miracle failed to happen then so it was already certain it won't happen again, no one will be able to rescue her this time too. Maybe this was her fate, maybe it's high time she accepted her destiny and stop fighting on an already lost battle, maybe it was time to face reality and accept who she really is. She sighed slightly and miserably as she looked at her already adorned face in the mirror. Behind all this beauty was just a sad soul with scars all over her neck and face. She breathed in hard trying to stop the already gathered tears from dropping. This wasn't a time to feel weak and cry to ruins. This was a time to be strong, courageous and fearless. She knew that the journey ahead is more horrible than what she has already faced. Living alone with Cameron is no different from living in an evil forest with wild dangerous animals. She could not imagine the hell awaiting her and the doom that will likely befall her. Her thoughts were interrupted the moment her mom walked in. She glanced at the already cheerful and joyful woman with a fake smile on her face.

Lady Hazel seeing her daughter smile back at her brought a great sense of joy and contentment to her heart. Maybe Lexa Is indeed doing just fine and been taken well care off. Maybe it was just her wild imaginations and overthinking, maybe she doesn't need to worry so much, her daughter seems to be coping just fine.

Lady Hazel caressed her daughter's cheeks and stroked her hair, complementing her and showering lots of praises on her, telling her how beautiful and elegant she looked. As Lexa's aids concluded their magical works on her body, Lexa stood up and walked hand in hand with her mother to the dinning hall where everyone was sitted already.

"Finally man..." Alex said as he got into the guest room Cameron occupied, shaking his hand and roughing his hair.

Cameron smirked broadly as he embraced Alex.

"It's all thanks to you man, its all thanks to you. You made this day a reality. I really appreciate." Cameron said giggling like a child.

"It's all love man. Anything for this friendship and you know I love your home. Congratulations man. Your one step closer to everything you desire." Alex responded and laughed with Cameron.

Cameron got dresses in his checked blue shirt and black pants, as he walked down with Alex by his side.

He walked Into the dinning room looking at all the smily faces peering at him as he hoped that Lexa hasn't snitched him out to her parents. He hugged his mom warmly haven not seen her for a while, hugged his dad and shook his inlaws before taking his seat and joining them for breakfast.
