Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22..THE LAST DATE.

"Can we go now?" Cameron said as he opened the room door ushering Lexa out. He had told her the previous night that they were going on a date, it will be their last date before they travel to Tokyo.

Lexa nodded as she came out of the room, wearing a long purple dinner gown with a long slit by the side, her hair was braided in two as she carried her customized Dior handbag which had her name "Lexa" encrotched in it. They walked out of the mansion into the car as Cameron's driver drove to the classy restaurant he has reserved for the both of them. He has prepared a dinner date for the both of them, for him it was to mark their last date in the country before traveling. They arrived at the venue and was taken to heir reserved spot. Cameron ordered their meals as they both ate silently as Cameron kept stealing glances of her while Lexa just looked down at her food all through.

"Don't answer it!" Cameron's commanding voice came scaring Lexa the moment her phone rang out loudly, revealing her mom's name on the screen.

"What do you mean, it's my mom." Lexa replied rolling her eyes as she licked up her phone to answer the phone call.

"We are on a date, it is meant to be just the both of us, no interruptions" Cameron said.

"Alright, I'll just tell her I'll call her back when we get home, not that we are having a discussion that she's interrupting." Lexa responded about to pick the call.

"I said don't answer it!" Cameron yelled as he threw the phone off her hands making it crash and shatter in different pieces and attracting the attention of everyone in the eatery.

"Are you deaf!!?" He added as he hit her hard on her face.

"Why don't you listen to me huh?, Must you always get on my nerves!!?" He yelled as he slammed his palm on the table causing a havoc and making everyone turn their heads as they whispered among themselves.

"Don't do that young man, that is disrespectful, how can you treated your wife like that in public?, That's inhumane." A man in his early 50's said as he stood up and approached Cameron.

"And who are you to interfere?, Is she your wife?. Why don't you sit and enjoy your meal, how dare you tutor me on how to treat my wife? Cameron sneered at the man.

"You really got the guts to speak to me in such manner?!, Your rude and your pride will bring you down to the grass young man!" The man fired back.

"You treat a woman like she's your trash, I really pity this beautiful lady alot. I hope karma eventually catches up with you. Your young and handsome but your wealth has brought you so much arrogance and pride. You won't last long I promise you. The tears this beautiful lady must have wept will always speak against you.

Honey, please let's leave. This young man is really crazy" The man's wife said before pulling her husband.

"Hmm, you must be really glad now right?. People of low class can now walk up to me and talk trash about me because of a useless slut like you, I despise you so much" Cameron spat on Lexa before leaving her behind at the restaurant and zooming off.

Lexa bowed her head on the table as she wept bitterly, hiding her face from the shame and embarrassment Cameron has brought on her. She couldn't bear the pity stares, people shaking their heads in pity, the people laughing at her and even the whispers she kept hearing from every corner.

She braced herself up and walked into the restroom.

Lexa couldn't hold it in anymore as she looked at her face in the mirror, the spot where Cameron has slapped her was burning red. She sat on the floor of the restroom, weeping and crying loudly.

At that spot, she despised her life so much, she hated herself, she despised her dad for forcing her into this marriage, she despised her mom for supporting him, she despised the Edwardos for bringing their son to get married to her, she hated Cameron the most for ruining her life. She really wished the ground will open up and swallow her instantly.

"Why doesn't death come in times like this!, Why can't the planet wrap me up and swallow me already, I'm so worthless and miserable, a dead corpse is far better than I am!. Death please come and take me already!, I'm better off dead!!." She wailed out loudly as she held her tummy, sitting on the floor with tears running down profusely from her eyes.

"Hey, hey, you don't need to say that, don't wish negative things on your self. Everything will be alright" A lady in her mid 30's who have witnessed what Cameron did to Lexa rushed into the restroom and held her.

"No,it's not alright. I just want to end it all, please let me die, I've had enough already" Lexa screamed as she laid on the lady's shoulder.

"I know how you feel, it's alright. Just calm down, all will be fine believe me. You will definitely overcome this I promise you, you just have to be strong my dear." The woman said, consoling her and stroking her hair. She continued consoling Lexa until her cries stopped and reduced to a whimper.

"I'm really sorry ma'am for messing up your dress with tears, I'm so sorry" Lexa apologized while using her little scarf to wipe off the tears.

"No, no you don't have to do that, don't worry about it, it will dry off" said the woman.

"Your nasty husband left you already, but don't bother about it, I'll take you home. I will really like to know how your life has been and why your husband treats you in such manner. Common let's get to the car." The woman said as she helped Lexa get on her feet.
