In a familiar room. The four were still talking when the doors were opened with haste. All eyes turned to the masked person and he stood at the door his hands clasped forward. From her pose, it was a she.
The four threw a glance at her but no one lashed out. Only the one with the glasses raised them. One could already feel the tense atmosphere here. With a single word, she could lose her life.
They all knew that it was not proper to interrupt a meeting. But everyone here could hear her taking deep breaths. It was probable that she had come here running. The man with red hair who had his right foot on the left one sat straight and smiled with a smirk.
"What brings you here. I hope the information will be worth our attention," he said and everyone could guess that meaning. If the news was not worth, she was nothing but dead meat.
One could see her shiver as she took in a deep breath and her voice came out like a whisper but with all attention on her, her words came out clearly.
"We are under attack," she said as she let out a deep breath.
The atmosphere was cold once again. Was that news worth mentioning to the leaders? Did she not value her life? The man with glasses raised them once again and it was like everything was going cold.
"Is that all?" He asked but his words made the hearts of many beat vigorously. The voice sent shivers down their spines and even those who were not targeted could not stop their rattling teeth.
"They have taken down 500 of our men," she said and paused. It seemed she was playing with her life. She was keeping everyone in the room in suspense. Everyone wanted to know more but she was not continuing as if she was letting them digest it.
The guy with black hair could not take his suspense anymore.
"Will you tell us everything or do you want us to go and find out for ourselves? Go straight to the point!" He said desperately.
"Oh, it has been reported that they have been here for the last thirty minutes. In this span, they have killed 500 men and the rest of them have been positioned to counter. We have faith that they will take them down," she said.
" How many people are we talking about here?" The red haired asked.
" We cannot tell the exact number because no one who has gone to survey has come back. But we have a hutch that it is like they have 100 persons," she said and there was pin drop silence.
They really dispatched a large number this time. The assassins could not have sent such a large number. It was only the Empire that could send them. It was possible that these were students of an academy.
"Okay, let's see how this unfolds," the guy with brown hair who had been silent all this time said.
***
It was true that the academy had taken long before they had sent their students there. They were just dispatching a group of 100 youths to go and try their luck by taking down the Mafia organization.
They were instructed to fall back after they realized that they could not make it. The group of 100 were going to leave in a military truck. It was no normal truck. The truck could fly, float and also go on land. Though, its flying limit was 100 meters.
The youths had advanced weapons. Guns with similarities to the one Marx had. They had other weapons such as bombs the size of a pin capable of taking down a 30 storey building.
They were wearing black battle suits but they were slightly blue. After everyone was inside, the truck started glowing at the bottom, blue. It took seconds before it started levitating and finally reached its maximum height.
But when it took of, it was then one realized that size does not matter. The truck left fast in a speed that left only a blue glow as it flew towards the Black oracle. But they were not dumb to land near them and thus they landed around ten kilometers away.

Marx aimed at the first group and fired. The same happened. The bullet hit the ground and produced the blue glow. The cracks started forming like a spider web as the light filled the cracks.
The cracks continued forward quickly and in seconds, it was reaching around 20 meters. The cracks at the point of impact started expanding and that was then the explosion rang.
For this one, there were going to be no survivors. The explosion took down all of them. The ground was not as lucky as a crater formed at the twenty meter radius. The only thing that was left to show that there were people here was the military shoe that was blown away.
Marx did not wait as he hurried for the next group. He was sure that if the strategist realized how his strategist favoured his enemy, he would most likely call for a new formation.
Marx aimed for the second group and for they could not tell where the bomb came from, they were very alert and they had even scanned the buildings and there was no one.
But how could they expect that the enemy was 100 meters above them?
For this group, they were not as lucky as they all were blown away leaving nothing there but a crater and a pool of blood. Marx went for the next group and did the same until he exhausted the five bullets.
He then sent the gun for recharging.
"Its up to you now. Make sure that they don't break the formation for the next one minute. I need to recharge my gun,"Marx said and Dan realized the logic behind this.
If he showed up, they were going to maintain the formation and the kid would get the chance to recharge his gun. It seemed that this weapon of his had a limit. He did not reply as he walked by the side of the first crater.
He looked at it from the side and shivered. Even he was sure that he could not survive such an attack. This was probably one of the reasons the kid was confident he had a 1% chance against him. He was certain that the kid had more powerful attacks.
He walked by the side of the five craters as he now stood before the group of fifty. Immediately he appeared, he opened fire and dropped four before they could even fire the first shot.
One could already feel the fear in this group. If he had passed the 250 before them, what were they. As things stood, they believed that he was the one who had taken them all down.
What drove them to even deeper despair was the fact that none of their bullets seemed to reach him. They knew that there was only one path for them and that was death. They watched as the bullets hit bullets and as bullets killed their teammates.
This was too one sided. All this time, none of them had taken a single damage. The number they had taken down being more than 700. The enemy too had weapons but it was like they were toy guns in front of their opponents.
Who could have thought that after years of massacrering others, they would one day fall victim to the same? The dropped one by one unwillingness showing from their posture after dying.
Weren't they the ones with machine guns? Why was it that someone with pistols was the one who took them down. They died in all types of poses as others died kneeling down.
Others fell back with their hands and legs open. Like they were waiting for death to embrace them. One of them lay on the side in cuddling position. Still, more dropped. The last person did not even fire as he realized that it was futile.
He received his perfect headshot and died with his eyes wide open. One could see that from how stretched the mask was. Dan walked past the dead bodies as he communicated to Marx.
"Are you done?"
"Just in time. I agree with you. We really are a team. Luckily for us, they still are in position," Marx said as he headed towards the next group but unluckily for them, this was the last squad they killed in a single shot.
The strategist realized his mistake and told his men to scatter. He had regret written all over his face. He had just wasted 350 men. The rest were relieved for they had seen just how the rest had died.
With new morale, they went in all direction and surrounded Dan. They were yet to know who was it that had been causing all those craters. They still thought that it was Dan. Realizing this, they climbed te rooftops and and decided to corner him.
Marx was somehow disappointed by the strategist for breaking the formation. But he could not dwell on it for long as he tuned his gun to 45⁰. The strategist was going to regret this.
They actually dared to think that they were surrounding the opponent. If only they knew that they were the ones surrounded. Dan had the same thought. Those who thought that they had the aerial advantage were in even more danger.
They were open to the most dangerous person there. Marx smiled as he aimed at the first person. Marx had never thought of calculating how many bullets he has if he tuned his bullets to 45⁰ but if he did, he could realize that he had 2,000 bullets.
He aimed at the first person. He was just in the process of jumping from one building to another and he was shot halfway through and he dropped to the ground like a stone. Before he could even reach the ground, he was followed by ten more.
Marx aimed at the next ones and those on the roof dropped one by one. Here, they could not even take cover from Marx who could see each one of them. They could only blame their inadequate information for their death.
As for Dan...
